This is very sad news. I don't mind saying that I'm a fiscal conservative and a social moderate so he didn't get my vote, but he garnered my admiration as a passionate Canadian who fought for the values that he believed in. A great loss for all Canadians, thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. I hope that the NDP can continue to pursue Mr. Layton's vision and provide a much needed balance to our shared society.

I'm not a regular at Barb's, only make it in once every few months or so when I'm in town, but I usually see Maude when I'm there during the evening. An enquiry to a reliable source tells me that she was in attendance last evening and looking very hot.

Cato, you definitely need to be on the lookout for Maude - she's the gymnast / bodybuilder girl that puts on the best stage show that I've ever seen. This is very disturbing - as a previous poster said, it seems like many of the Ottawa SC's have been tainted with thugs lately. Hopefully they stay away from Barb's, Barefax, etc, but it's probably only a matter of time. I've heard the rumours that pimps are at Barb's when I've been visiting. Gangs and gun play are the next step in the evolution. It would be nice to think it's not true but there is a side of this business that attracts seedy characters. As with so many things in life, a few rotten apples spoil it for the rest of us who are genuinely interested in the girls and treat them well.

This is very sad news indeed. Barb's is a special little place and will be sorely missed. It's almost like your local sports pub just with beautiful, naked women at every turn. Everyone from the staff at the door, the bartenders/waitresses, the girls and even the customers themselves were always friendly and smiling. Anybody know when is the fateful date? I'll have to try get back for at least one more visit.
