  1. You know you're old when you know who Dr. Ruth is. See also, RG's post: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=70630
  2. The bunk beds did remind me of this 1988 movie clip: http://movieclips.com/UANik-big-movie-sleepover/
  3. Without having seen the "before" shot, I think I'd like it better
  4. Here's a quick and dirty low-tech way to do it. If you have a mic for your computer (most laptops have one built in), use the Windows sound recorder and play the message on the phone at full volume, placing it next to the computer's mic.
  5. You're close! For computers, they were actually just everyday cassette tapes, and it would have been closer to 8K than 800K :) (An 800K program would take over 27 hours to load by tape). You were probably thinking of the CPU clock speed, and around 800 Hz to 1 MHz is about right for the era. Yes young people, that's 800 hertz to 1 mega-hertz, not 800 MHz to 1GHz - a difference of a factor of 1,000! You're bang on fiddling with the volume control to get things just right, on the 3rd or 4th CLOAD attempt. That is actually an RCA sound tape cartridge:
  6. I've never imbibed, but I have to know - is the stuff on that video the sort of thing that goes though your head when you on drugs?
  7. Unions... protecting incompetent government workers everywhere. His punishment will probably being sent to some retreat to recover from being over stressed - at the taxpayers expense of course. Just try pulling this kind of crap at a real job.
  8. Castle, RG and Emma summarized it well. For me, language is an important factor. The language of love gets you only so far, and I enjoy a conversation with a lady as much as, and probably more than, the physical part. Emma - Ladies of all ethnicities are hot, the Asian ladies just seem to use better cameras or photographers :)
  9. I've been told I need to get a tuit, what is it and where do I get one?
  10. I'm game, but I'm not sure you'd want to watch my wiggle. This squirrel is better than I'll ever be:
  11. I'm thinking of taking up skydiving
  12. An inflatable ring can be a fun toy in the hotel pool. :) An air mattress can also be fun:
  13. I'm with you on that, except that cash can turn into a gift certificate, but not vice versa. There's nothing worse to me than getting a gift certificate that you'll never use for a store you never shop at. As RG noted, research for what a lady would like is important. In my little world, I see cash and gift certificates as the same - the CRA (Revenue Canada) has a rule for gifts to employees - cash and near cash (i.e. gift certificates) items are a taxable benefit to an employee, where a physical gift is tax free. Too often I bring work into fun time!
