  2. Should I have posted this in the Tech Corner?
  3. There are many conventional ways that people find to get themselves fired (e.g., dishonesty, harassment, and such). And then there are more unique ways to get a pink slip. You could get sacked for showing support for the wrong sports team, failing to restock the office refrigerator, or even showing up for work looking too attractive. Those are among the strange but true termination stories we uncovered. In some cases, an outright job dismissal seems rather harsh, given that the offenses amount to - at worst - lapses in professional judgment. In other instances, the departed seems to have been courting trouble. Naturally, a number of these incidents ended up as lawsuit fodder, or otherwise prompted news coverage.
  4. No, inprivate browsing is just what is stored (or not) on your computer. The HTTPS/SSL encryption is for what is transmitted between your computer and google. Every browser has it's advantages and disadvantages, at least until the other guys add in the latest and greatest features re-leveling the playing field. The fanboy's (and fangirl's) will claim that whatever browser, computer, etc. they use is the only thing that anyone should use. Me, I use internet explorer, it gets the job done and I know that it works and all websites are optimized to use it.
  5. Yes, you should have been paid the usual amount plus expenses. That's just plain BS. "..didn't get the massage" - did he ask for a massage? "...it didn't take as long..." who's fault is that, and is there a taxi meter strapped to your butt charging by the minute?
  6. void Reply() { char szMessage[] = " Thanks for posting! I learned how to program in C with Dennis Ritchie and Brian Kernighan book "The C Programming Language" way back when. Phaedrus is right, he had/has a huge impact on our lives everyday, and will for the foreseeable future. Not only is the C language (and it's superset C++) used to write all the operating systems for every platform be it PC, Mac, or whatever, but it is used for virtually every cell phone as well. The languages are also used in the controllers the run your cars, your watches, TV, microwave, dishwasher, and almost anything that has a micro-controller in it."; }

  8. A great smile gets my attention!!
  9. This is the kind of house to have to keep Zombies at bay, after fixing up the entrance with a draw bridge and adding some flame throwers:
  10. Guarantee is actually a very big word. Remember Sears guarantee: "Satisfaction guaranteed or money refunded" They don't have that anymore, too many people wanted something for nothing and always found a way of being unsatisfied.
  11. I love it! And any scent that I get to take away with me, well that's better than getting a grab bag to take home from a birthday party!
  12. I don't have one, but I understand thousands of people are actually having to call and speak with each other in order to communicate - the world is ending!
  13. Sounds like great tought out advice, where is the problem?
  14. I've got a cheap pair that work great - thanks for sharing!
  15. I'm not from Ottawa and I don't know about the blog, anyone want to catch me up?
  16. I've pondered it in the past. Reading the articles you posted reawoken my curiosity. I couldn't find any info at all about donating on Hannam's website http://www.hannamfertility.com so it's understandable why their donations are down. There's quite a bit of info on the Toronto Institute for Reproductive Medicine's (ReproMed's) site: http://www.repromed.ca/donor_faq http://www.repromed.ca/sperm_donor.html It does seem to be a bit of an arduous process for the donor.
