I find that almost all people are honest. Under the terms of the cardholder agreement, they have only 30 days from the statement date to dispute a charge which is in the worst case 60 days from the charge date. If it is a "card present" transaction and you have captured a signature or the client used his/her pin, you're protected against this sort of shenanigans. Personally, I love my credit card and use it for everything I can, it is so much more convenient than cash and it makes keeping track of things much easier. I pay off my card every month, but not everyone does which is actually a reason for SPs to consider accepting credit cards. If a client can only make a minimum payment on their credit card, they certainly don't have much if any extra cash floating around. With a credit card, a client can indulge now and pay later. The real downside to accepting credit cards is the 3 to 5% discount that you have to pay to the bank.

You are right, the Windows XP machines will continue happily humming along long after Microsoft stops supporting the OS. I've had dozens of XP machines under my thumb all with the latest service packs and updates, with nary a problem - something else may be a foot with those user's you've heard of. The service packs and updates (with very rare and quickly fixed glitches aside), are intended to make things more secure and stable, not less and should always be installed. Upgrading from XP isn't really a question of if, but rather when - it could be tomorrow or years from now, but they will be upgraded at some point. If you are planning on upgrading, Windows 7 is a very stable trouble free platform.

I agree, but when you goggle her name, all the sites come up and there is no telling which is going to be at the top of the list at any particular moment. It certainly can't hurt to add the clairification to all three to avoid any confusion. Just my 2 cents :)
