Thanks Pete, I've had to cancel a few times myself on short notice as especially in this profession, a client just may not be able to give ample notice in delicate situations. IE: The SO has come home and now you have to shovel. Texting in these types of situation is not always available. These situations are completely valid and as providers we are understanding. My mother showed up once unexpected, and I had to cancel last minute on that note. :) I then offer a discount for a rain check as it goes both ways.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. It's something I'm implementing on a case by case basis. I only have one so far that has been a little inconsiderate and has stood me up for no reason. He proceeded to make another apt. a week after and did let him know he needed to bring me a nominal fee as his actions were not right. He's the type of client that would not have thought to do this if I hadn't asked. He paid it with no problem but I had mixed feelings about it. That's mainly why I ask. It's never happened as anyone new knows my services, restrictions, boundaries and limits before an apt is made. I've never experienced this due to a stringent pre apt. rapport with my client so all is understood. I would simple not proceed with a client that wants a totally different experience. I let them know I'm not for them and if they ask during an apt. I would not book again with them. So, and I realize this makes a very challenging question - why do you think your services should be immune to real world experience. Thanks for sharing your Christmas story Nikki. The greatest gift I received last year was a beautiful abandoned calico cat my neighbor found in the heating vent at a senior's home she worked for early morning. My little one got into the ducts for warmth from the cold and she was very lucky to be rescued by my friend before they did their morning laundry. She's a vocal girl and if she had not meowed, she would have probably perished when the laundry machines were started. I knew the day she came to my door she found me and has been a daily blessing and my best gift ever. She gives back to me every day so that's how I see "getting." I've fed and spoiled her greatly. She was emaciated and now full, possibly a little chubby, shiny and beautiful. That puts a smile on my face I cannot explain. I'm a constant contributor to FOAP as I can only physically accommodate two cats but always try to help as much as I can in support of other animals. Just like you can sponsor a child, you can sponsor an animal through various pet organizations. If I had children on my list this year that has a love for animals, what better gift to show their friends in the New Year of their new adopted new pet. It's so very true. We do need to give to receive and what we receive back from donating our time or funds to charitable organizations and helping out our fellow people, families and animals is truly a gift that keeps giving. To clarify, I would be doing this privately in a case where there was a no show with no attempt to contact me and I have to send them a message to ask what the reason was? Once was with a good regular client that did admit he was just too busy and skipped. I waited for hours as I did give him the time to contact me. He figured because he see's me often I wouldn't be annoyed. He's not a member here so I feel comfortable using this example without coming across as passive aggressive. I had him add an additional nominal fee for taking the time to prepare. He paid it gladly but he would not have if I did not speak up. I had mixed feelings about it though. I've just looked into this procedure and will not be advertising it to new clients but feel it's possibly necessary at times for a client that doesn't deserve to be blacklisted, but was inconsiderate. The clients I have yet to meet and they do not show, I do not speak to again as trust needs to be established. Hoping that makes sense and not coming across as unreasonable.

Good points. I have blacklisted. I'm very understanding of cancellations but no shows have no good reason without an immediate rebooking with valid reasoning. I should not have to call or track them down. In this case they were never serious about seeing me to start with. You're absolutely correct. Blacklisting does get the message across and they'll soon run out of ladies willing to see them if they continue this pattern. It's the ultimate in thoughtless behavior.

I'm just wondering what the other ladies and gents thoughts are of implemented "no show" cancellation fee for the next apt. if the client does not rebook as soon as he's able? I've had a few no show's and am always willing to book again promptly after a cancellation if a rain check is made and the client had a valid reason. I'm very reasonable and understand life comes up. The reason I ask this, is I had one no show in particular that had a valid reason and let me know after I messaged him asking what happened. He had an good explanation. I offered this person a rain check and have yet to hear back. There was plenty of opportunity to rebook. As a result, if he possibly contacts me again months down the line it would be nice to have him make up the time I put in getting ready for the apt. I think there's still an absence of consideration when it comes to the matter of how much time we prepare to see our clients. It's not just the apt. time. Thoughts please? This in no way implies a fee if I have to cancel. In fact, when I have had to for a valid reason, I take a percentage off my rain check offer after I apologize profusely. I know it's implemented with a few travelling ladies as last minute cancellations and no shows are a very different thing in their situation. Thanks. E

Update: I did ask MOD about this one particular thread as it was bumped up twice in less than one week with chit chat after several new reco's were made for other ladies. MOD agreed that it looked fishy but he can't do anything about it unless it's solicitation. The first time I brought this up, the provider was adding to her own reco. That is not allowed and was removed. I'm not a chronic complainer. This is the second time I have contacted MOD in this regard since I started here as it just didn't seem right to bump this thread back up after several other reco's were already made and the discussion for the other ladies was good. The timing was suspicious if you ask me? I do my part to make sure things are fair to us all but this one is now out of my hands. Let's do get back to those great recommendations. I'm the first one to recommend another lady as well and hoping it's kept happy for all of us.

I agree with the other advice given. All providers are different so asking the lady who interests you privately is the way to approach this. Sessions offered will range from therapeutic to a GFE style massage within those limits. Do your homework and you'll be able to tailor your questions specific to the lady you are interested in. There's lots here to look up. The massage and reco threads should help, as well as the advertisements.

This is my last thought in regards to your need to argue here. I wouldn't like to see this thread closed as a result and did mention in my last reply that these comments are attention seeking and should be ignored. I'm an MA but I don't like where this thread is headed in regards to publicly asking SP's if they would do "extra" because you're either special, a repeat client or give gifts and cash donations to try to persuade. This is a sense of entitlement if you ask me. This is YMMV and kept private between the provider and client. I have stopped seeing clients that have thought like this due to the discomfort.

Jessica mentioned this idea as well. Do get the verification form your provider as not everyone drinks and a bottle of wine given to a non drinker can be awkward. What an original thought with the oysters. :) I've never had a Gent bring me oysters. I have enjoyed a bottle here and there with a client that stays over an hour. Whether we drink or not, remember it's the season where the police are cracking down more on drinking and driving so just make sure you have enough time with your provider so you don't leave over the limit. It doesn't take much these days. Gift certificates are great! I received one from La Senza last year and it was very much appreciated.

I complete agree with you. This is a thoughtful thread and there's always a negative apple or two that will pour their rain all over us. :) He's on ignore here so pay no attention. I suggest you pay attention to this particular ladies interests. I've received gifts from computer monitors, computer speakers, to a new shower handle. Money can be cold so just pay attention to her needs and you may just find yourself picking up something very personable for her. My gifts were not always flowers, perfume or things the guys think we may like because we're females. ;) Hope that helps but may take a little effort on your part to dig in on her most wanted list.
