Here's the musical complement to our friend's, the boatless fisherman, post above, Were Steve Goodman still with us or had he known of 'Taradiddle' he would have been able to work it into thee lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLVCxh-ChQg

Safe sex during the pandemic:
-
A mask truly hides very little. The twinkle of the eyes from a real person has far more to do with attractiveness. I used to take a long bus ride to a northern Ontario mining town as a preteen to visit my 12 year older brother. It didn't take him long to figure out that one of my incentives was to gain access to his extensive collection of Playboy and Penthouse magazines. He asked me "what's the use of seeing if you can't touch?" Pics are overrated and can be rendered worthless by a welcoming glance and an honest laugh :) Damn, now I'm going back to Rabbit before I can afford it, lol.

coming to Toronto on the 29th october need recommendation
waterat replied to Corum04's topic in Escort Discussion for Toronto
Things have been rather quiet in Toronto and this forum lately - some of it due to the pandemic - but these recommendations will point you in a good direction. Of course, do your homework, but I doubt you'll not be misled by the advice you find here -
For sex workers was a lifeline - if they could get it.
waterat replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in In the news
Meaghan: Thanks so much for sharing this article. This is an excellent example of the challenges so many sex workers face. We all need to stay engaged with this and take the steps necessary to have the Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (Bill C-36) repealed and replaced with decriminalization - everybody wins this way. SWs feel comfortable to file taxes and access whatever support is provided by the government and clients will be less reluctant to readily provide the appropriate screening to help keep providers feeling as safe and protected as possible. Change is needed, critical and urgent, especially during these difficult times. Thank you. -
..... well I'm sure we're all waiting - at least I know I am :)

Funny things to happen during "the dirty"
waterat replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Kimmy I learned about baby monitors the easy way - my youngest shared our bedroom so that's where the monitor was located. Fortunately we had noted the voices on our monitor from our neighbour's two doors away (this was in '87 so, no doubt, technology has improved since). The neighbourhood was referred to as 'Fertility Flats': single family dwellings, chipboard sheathing, vinyl clad identical houses (yes, I walked into the wrong one once!). Everyone had 2.2 kids and a Burley bicycle trailer. I used that trailer as the drive-through grocery pick up! To get back on topic there was an episode when we were staying at cabin with adjacent rooms with thin walls. Our bed was colliding with the wall and when 'we were finished' the same rhythm continued from the other side of the wall and then a loud voice 'thanked us for finishing", lol -
Strange: Don't know the time/date of any ads - perhaps a 'split personality'? Why would anyone leave the maritime bubble to work in Ontario, a covid hot spot,... says the suspicious guy from Ottawa.

No need to apologize - we all started at some point and had to learn - hopefully you can find some help and guidance from the community. Yeah, you're starting out in this hobby in the most challenging time anyone could imagine. I think your comments above answer your question. Bare services, i.e. BBFS, are almost exclusively not appropriate on here, unless in a warning section. Any mention of it can get you blocked by a provider so best not to discuss it with them even if you're just wanting assurance that they don't offer it. I don't imagine you'll find a provider advertising on here who would consider BB service. Here are a few suggestions to help familiarize yourself with the community: 1. Have a thorough review of the 'New to this forum' https://www.lyla.ch/forum/157-new-to-this-things-you-should-know/ 2. If you hover over the image of any poster you'll be able to see when they joined, the number of posts they've made, when they last visited the site and also have a look at all of their content (posts) to develop a sense of what they're like. I use this to determine the sensitivity I set my 'crap detector' at when I'm reading one of their posts. It doesn't take long for your 'spidey sense' to make this step superfluous. 3. Review the online info provided through your local public health unit. This will currently be dominated by covid stuff, but still helpful to read through. Good luck and stay safe.

Don't expect any info from this: go do your own research. This thread is over 5 years old. @AC101 hasn't been on the board in close to 5 years. Also posting rates is not appropriate: admittedly the rates posted were likely just a 'door fee' and don't reflect any additional services. I encourage you to read any number of the threads in this forum found near the top of the 'home' forum: https://www.lyla.ch/forum/157-new-to-this-things-you-should-know/

A possible edit.... those would perhaps be "netfarious" means..... unless It becomes a binge session, in which case I defer to your original phrase :)

A consideration but there are many factors that should influence how 'worried' you should be. First I'll suggest that the thread could as easily have been titled Covid and clients and providers Obviously this virus is extremely infectious. The transmission through kissing is probably a tiny fraction (immeasurably small?) of the total infection rate: therefore the many other factors are of primary importance to consider. Kissing is the last of your concerns. Location - in a hot spot city?, local or travelling provider or gentleman?, do you/they see many visitors?, What are each's acceptable risk level?, etc. Everything depends on how we all behave as well as luck, it appears. It's pretty tough to hit the fast/curve/knuckle ball that is Covid-19, I've limited my intimate visits since covid to two providers and now one of them has her kids back in school so I only see her physically distanced for social dates. The other has had and recovered from covid (she's pretty sure she caught it on public transit - only possible exposure) but she defines low volume (only me) so I take the risk - and she does too. For me that would truly be a Freudian typo, lol.

Prospects Demanding Face Pics
waterat replied to Raquel Brooks's topic in Escort Discussion for Nova Scotia
Kimmy it takes courage and demonstrates courageousness to work in this business. Please know that you have and demonstrate both. Just be you and don't be distracted from that. It drives me bonkers to hear of gents being reticent about screening. Can you imagine if the standard approach were to have clients provide a face pic/picture of driver's licence etc. to book an appointment? I just don't get it: Ladies I visit - I've viewed their pictures, read their blog, perused their website, been given their location and yet I show up at the door of their incall unknown to them and still they welcome me in and share intimacy. I'm hoping we can build lyla up to be a safe place for providers and clients alike and it's going to take some work. Stay strong and stay safe! -
Safe ONLY!.......sometimes?
waterat replied to harpo123's topic in Escort Discussion for Nova Scotia
@rykky and @Mikeyboy I see both of your points from your first posts, then....... so I'll first acknowledge that this is a comment from Ottawa so I don't attempt to interpret, nor view, ads placed in NS but I think this issue is a general problem. The term GFE migrated from SPs to MAs and many people have identified their confusion with it. I think the same seems to apply to 'safe'. Hygiene is important too. The phrase YMMV, always pertinent. It used to be primarily backpage but now it's leolist that is the sources of most request for information, comments and service menus and accordingly the uncertainty over what 'safe' applies to - see the op. I hope that we're able to capitalize on making lyla a reliable source of advice, discussion, information and respect by visiting, supporting and promoting the providers who advertise here. They'll need to earn that confidence and we'll need to offer it, always understanding that chemistry dictates the lasting impressions. I rely on lyla to keep me feeling sexy, safe and satiated (sss - I would have preferred to use an xxx mnemonic but I couldn't find the words :). My two cents, which is more than Donald tRump has!..... -
I think this covid-19 situation has exacerbated a pre-existing problem for the industry. @Allie Zeon's suggestion for tweaking your screening may help. The first time I met Allie she had recently been dealing with no-shows and requested I send her a pic with a specific hand gesture and location to confirm my bona fides. Worked fine and I always try to see her when she passes through Ottawa. win-win. While I recognize @newfy 's reminder that we're dealing with people I believe this industry doesn't quite parallel the automotive industry - the mechanics don't have to clean the grease off their face and a double booking doesn't mean both clients can't be served, although perhaps not in the expected timely manner. I have concern for the stress having revealed a room number causes. I would discourage that. Maybe meet a client in the lobby or meet them at the bar and then escort them to the room? I'll defer to the advice of SP's who have suggestions and maybe that advice is best shared in the private SP area available on this board. A selfie, showing clothing, texted from the lobby of a hotel (or even from home hours earlier) would make a client readily identifiable for a preliminary rendezvous. I realize this doesn't eliminate the issue of having prepared for the session and possibly having turned down other suitors for that time slot - yet still a step in a better direction. As @NotchJohnson noted above, this problem affects both sides of this industry, though for the SP's, much more so. Ladies and gents: leolist is rarely our friend. Lyla usually is. (apologies for the comma splices :) )

I have the honour and pleasure of knowing Allie and her dogs quite well they're all well behaved and in control - well maybe not Allie so much :) 😁 Allie you're trying to dodge responsibility here - you're the one who causes the damn traffic jams and the one people want to stop to pet. But I digress from the topic of this thread..... maybe I've only 1/2 % today - I'm still working on it though.

Ladies: leap at the opportunity. I'm pretty sure he means it! I'm unable to make such a thoughtful offer in Ottawa at the moment.
-
Two replies and my highlight: RG I think that's great news for you - hopefully scoped meniscus will do the trick but if replacement is in order so be it. Keep working with and tolerating your physio-terrorist. :) Carbie (aka Lydia): I hope you can track down a side of Ukrainian sausages next meal. Having wild camped for a month in the USSR in early '91 I experienced many 'adventurous' meals, all built around potatoes and cabbage. My highlight: breakfast today will be a second meal of the homemade pierogies from my nephew (a thanksgiving delivery to his lone wolf uncle) and yes, they're potato filled. His whole family eat vegetarian except when it's 'hot dog day' at school for the three kids. I love pierogies.

Wow, that's disturbing to hear, Carmen! There have been other locally posted threads describing the same problem elsewhere so hopefully this general area post will generate some 'management' approaches offered by other ladies. Sadly this problem is not unique to K-W. As a client I would never do that: a rude, mean waste of time. A number of years ago there was a thread here in Ottawa referring to what you've described as being 'address' or 'location' collectors. One obvious suggestion is to collect a deposit on booking. I suppose there are many clients who might be reluctant to do this but if it became standard practice for most SWrs it might help. I would have no reservation providing a deposit to a lady with a recommendation and a reputation here on lyla (in fact, I usually just pay in full by e-transfer ahead of time, it's easier). The issue of discrete payment may deter some clients but if deposits became de rigueur they would get their shit together and make a discrete arrangement for deposits/payment. Hopefully other SPs will have other suggestions. This is an important topic for all participants here, both providers and clients alike, as this behavior is damaging to the whole industry.

Good suggestion GT. @JohnnieBB on your pc hitting Ctrl shift n will put you in incognito mode prior to visiting lyla so the visit won't be recorded in your browsing history, if that matters to you.

Take a breath, lighten up, and come back to Ontario.

Yes. I addressed that. Read my post. Again.
