This year really sucks in a bad way: - My mother (age 74) passed away on January 3rd, 2014 (bone cancer) (She was also a Cervical cancer and Breast cancer survivor.). - My aunt had a mild stroke recently. she is in her early 80's. Her husband (my uncle) has the Shingles Virus and he is also in his early 80's. But neither looks a day over 50. They are now forced to sell their home and move into a senior's condo. - People in my family used to live until the ripe old age of 102 to 110 years. Not any more. Childhood Friends: - A close friend's father just had bypass surgery. This friends mother just lost a foot to an infection. - Another close friend's mother just passed away. _______________ On the bright side. - I have another Uncle in his late 80's and he still teaches part-time at the University of Guelph. He also does not look a day over 50. This uncle also travels across Canada and to the United States doing agricultural seminars . His wife (my Aunt) still runs her own business full-time and she is also in her late 80's.

Tonight was roast beef, with steamed veggies and rice.

I am watching Sons of Anarchy marathon.

I am playing ball with my cat. He rolls the ball across the room to me and I role it back to him.

During the winter months I have the fire place going.... er... um... That is the HDTV channel 1520 on the Bell Fibe TV.... Sometimes they even play holiday music as well. For most holidays I do absolutely nothing. For Christmas, all I do is play Christmas music. I do not decorate for Christmas. For fear that the cat will bring down the tree. Plus -- I live in an apartment. So the storage is very limited -- no place to store the tree in the off season. With each passing year the budget and wallet gets smaller and smaller -- for everything.

Having my morning coffee and watching the morning news.

I called a well know waste removal company to come and pick up my old sofa. They quoted me $400 to come and take it away. Holly crap!!!! that is ridiculous!! I am going to have to live with two sofas until I figure out another plan.

A new sofa with matching wing-back chair. It arrives tomorrow afternoon. It is not really new. I purchased it at one of those slightly used stores. It only cost me $125 for the set.

I just want to take this time to wish every one a happy and safe long weekend. I am thankful for this site and all its wonderful members. This has been an awesome place to come and meet and share with a wonderful bunch of people. Please share here what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving weekend. Hugs to everyone. Cheers, Jeffray

Turkey loaf sandwich with cheese. I know, boring!!! Just not very hungry tonight. But I did have veggies and rice for lunch...

I am lucky if I can get a kiss from my cat once or twice a year. Although he is an excellent cuddler. He likes to cuddle when ever I lay down or am sitting on the couch.

I am watching a movie, Cool Hand Luke, 1967, staring Paul Newman and waiting on the pop corn to finish popping.

Roast beef and fresh veggies with raisin bread for dessert.

Blue Bloods of course.... Wahlberg and Tom Selleck Old black and white movies OR colorized movies

I have not been able to use chat all week. It gets stuck at the initialization screen. Serves me right for not being a regular user of chat... :(

Additional Comments:

I am single. I have been single for the past 14 years. I would rather be in a relationship and receiving hugs and sex once in a while. As opposed to not at all. My greatest fear is growing old alone. Thank heavens we have SP's/MP's to turn too. Even if it is only a temporary fix.
