Yes I agree with you Cristy, it does sound interesting and promising. BUT I would only trust it so far as a backup method to a condom. Nothing is 100% effective (except abstinence - no one wants that). So I am a firm believer in a two system plan. (i.e. condom & pill; condom & IUD; condom & patch; etc...) {Especially in this life style} Keep in mind that the article stated "The rings are being manufactured now, and the device soon will undergo its first test in women." "...clinical studies on the use of the ring is to start in 2014". So everything sounds theoretical so far. Women will have to remember to replace it every 3 months (90 days). I know some women who have trouble remembering to take "the pill" every day. I look forward to hearing about the real world data after it has been on the market for a few years. Great post! Thank you for sharing this Cristy. :)

today I am a human ice-cube. It is a medical problem I have and had nothing to do with the -32 temperature this morning. For supper tonight I am having Hamburger Helper Macaroni Chili with ground beef. Here's hoping that will warm me up.

What would You Do?

It reminded me of an episode of MASH that I saw. It was about an injured soldier who needed a blood transfusion and surgery. The (white) soldier told the doctors to make sure they gave him the "right blood type". While the soldier was in post op the doctors painted his body with some medical dye making him appear black. When the soldier regained consciousness he was horrified. He actually believed they gave him the wrong type of blood. After spending the next few days as a black man he realized how wrong he was about his prejudice. Then the doctors told him the story about Dr. Charles R. Drew, the man who invented "blood transfusion and storage". Dr. Drew was in a car accident and needed a blood transfusion and was denied because of his skin color. (This story about the doctors death was some what inaccurate, but the doctor was real.) Dr. Charles R. Drew http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Drew -
Hello 6dave9, You may want to check out the link below. It will show you how to make Windows 8.1 look and act like Windows 7. How to Make Windows 8 or 8.1 Look and Feel Like Windows 7 http://blog.laptopmag.com/make-windows-8-like-windows-7

A good rule to follow is "Kiss and don't tell". That goes for both the Hobbyist and SP. I for one would not want to repeat with a lady if my buddy was also with her. With the exception of a "bad date". Always try to work things out first if possible. That is a subject for another post/thread.

If you are not happy with Windows 8 you might not want to try Windows 8.1. It is not much better. Keep in mind that it was intended for use on tablets & touch screens and not for PC's. With Microsoft's track record it appears that every other OS (Operating System) is a success. For example: Windows 3.x - Good (8+/10) Windows NT 3.x - Business Fail (3/10) Windows 95 - Fail (5/10) Windows NT 4.0 - Business Good (8/10) Windows 98 - Pass (6+/10) Windows ME - Major Fail (1/10) Windows 2000 - Good (9/10) Windows XP (Service Pack 2) - Business Good / Consumer Good (8+/10) Windows Vista - Business Fail / Consumer Pass (5/10) Windows 7 - Good Windows 8 & 8.1 - ??? http://www.zdnet.com/blog/bott/the-best-and-worst-windows-versions-ever/231

I heard about something very important to a lot of Canadian's on the CTV news at noon today. It is in regards to tax refunds. I spent an hour and a half trying to find details on the internet and I cam up empty. The story was about the option for tax refunds being monthly or lump sum payments. If you choose monthly payments you can expect to see your first refund check in four weeks or so. {OK that seems reasonable - What... Wait that is like $15++ a month}. If you want a lump sum payment - expect to wait about 15 months. {Don't expect any interest with that} So if you are on low or moderate income you have to wait an extra year to give yourself that one & only treat for the year. I guess that is one way of calling/treating some people 2nd or 3rd class citizens with plausible deniability. Don't expect these people to do much complaining if any. Most of them can not afford cable TV let alone internet. We all know who these people are. Some of them are our parents, grandparents and neighbors. People on social assistance and government only pensions (Disability, CPP and Old Age Security).

When a lick-bath just isn't enough If you are a pet owner like me and have been thinking about taking your little buddy to a Pet Spa. Make sure you do some research. Keep in mind that your pet is locked in this box for 30 minutes or longer. [That can seem like an eternity when the situation is stressful.] Your pet is not supposed to be left unsupervised during this time - but we all know that procedures and rules are not always followed to the letter. ***WARNING***Viewer discretion is advised {No worries, they are not harmed physically} Just do not eat or drink during the first video ;) It is quite obvious that kitty did not like it one bit. Not all pet washing machines are the same. Here are some articles on the subject: What are Dog Washing Machines? http://www.petplace.com/dogs/dog-washing-machines/page1.aspx Dog washing -- automatically www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/story.html?id=3752938c-8577-4941-9fbe-c92cfa755fd2 Pet Wash: A Sadistic Sudser? http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2001/12/48952?currentPage=all Now you know.
