  2. Thank you very much to all of you! The last couple of days have been filled with bed, meds and all sorts of suck! So logging on to cerb and seeing all of your kind words has definitely made my spirits lift! You folks are neat, and this particular dude is:

  6. Saint Vitus - Saint Vitus I wonder if these guys grew up listening to Black Sabbath? ;)
  7. What you're doing takes insane amounts of strength and courage. I wish you nothing but the best on your journey to recovery Angel. Thank you for sharing this with us!
  8. Crap! I can't believe I didn't respond to this sooner! Clearly the land lords out there fail hard! You'd think they would be happy for a friendly, responsible tenant.. Some people! So sorry that you had to put up with this, I for one, hope you find happiness back in Winnipeg's warm embrace! Well, while the warmth outside lasts, that is! damned winterpeg! ;)
  9. Soooo, Just throwing this out there, How many of you talked like a pirate at work today? I know I sure did. However, I did stop short form referring to the servers as wenches. Something tells me they would not have appreciated that! Plus, between my mother and the ladies here on CERB, I'v learned me some respect for women! :)
  10. Well, if the mammogram dude is funny, how about an offensive Jeebus? I used to have the hair to pull it off properly, sigh
  11. Now you're just showin' off! I'm guessing that if you do decide to marry a humble, non zombie survivable mortal such as myself, i'm probably going to have to do things like move away from my beloved Winnipeg and get along with your mother?? ;)
  12. Crap on a crutch! I missed this earlier :( May I offer you a belated gift? I recently acquired a crap covered crutch... On second thought, please accept my best belated wishes and I will find a dumpster for the aforementioned crutch
  13. Unfortunately, quite a few people associate music with people or moments in their life and vice versa. Be it positive, or negative. Just be glad you associate your ex with a song you don't much like to begin with! Because of my goofy friggin' brain and a lady who used to be in my life I had trouble listening to Megadeth's song Hangar 18 for almost a year! And I love that song!!!
  14. Quit hasslin' him, he doesn't know any better! He learned it from me, okay?!?!?! ;)
  15. If I may be quite canadian for a moment: Effin' Eh! Keep on given 'er Lexi! :)
  16. I think the only people who like that ballad are some housewives who are in their mid 30's to early 40's and the people who collect the royalties generated by it!
  17. @ Phaedrus: I have to agree with you in regards to the issue with the dudes from Extreme, way too pretty! Plus who can forget the rather unfortunate Gary Cherone incarnation of Van Halen. But still, the guy's guitar playing on the song I posted is very talented and very much in the neo-classical shred category. Plus it's just fun to watch a bunch of historical figures run amok in a mall to that tune in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! Now on to Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Slayer, But I wouldn't consider either of them guitar gods. Unfortunately, they are very sloppy live (i've seen them multiple times). Yes, they have written some of the greatest metal riffs of all time, but overall they are hit or miss, and the hits tend to sound same-ey (yup, total made up word there). And sorry, but both of them couldn't pull off a proper solo if the future of mankind depended on it. That being said though, I recently saw them live yet again, and Gary Holt from Exodus was filling in for Jeff Hanneman, and holy christ! He added a whole different dimension and presence to Slayer's live show! No offense to Kerry, but it looked to me like he realized that he had to step up his game so he wouldn't look lesser than the hired gun on the other guitar! @ Steve Curious: I didn't forget Mr. Big, I just chose to omit them due to the fact that this thread is about things that are good ;) Sorry for the novel everyone! Apparently discussions about music just bring out a very opinionated and VERY verbose side of me
  18. ...Marry me! Sara = All sorts of awesome and imaginative!
  19. Hmm, there's a few things to my left. Should I use the squeeze bottle of ketchup, the pepper mill, the mini fridge, the tower speaker, or the stack of comic books? Of all the times I don't have a shotgun to my left...
  20. I could really use a hug right about now :(
  21. Oops! i'm a little late on this one, but congratulations nonetheless!
  22. Wasn't I just congratulating you on 2000 posts like three days ago? ;) Yet another prolific Cerb-ite! Good work OD!
