A friend and I left the bar early one night and got to know each other a little better in her friend's van. We were there with a whole group of people and when my best friend and I compared notes later, he told me he and the van's owner were in his car around the same time. A laugh and a high five was exchanged :)

Best Job: Definitely roofing. the hours were long and the work was strenuous but beer has never tasted better than it did after a long day on a roof! Plus I was doing it with my oldest and dearest friend and it put me in great shape. Hooray for roofing! Too bad ya can't do it year round here, otherwise I would seriously consider it as a career. May not be the most intellectually stimulating career, but screw it, i don't have to prove a damn thing to anyone! Worst job: Working under a Chef. I have pretty thick skin and can take a lot of yelling and criticism but this dick put my self esteem in the toilet for a while and just about killed my passion for food. Nothing like being terrified of asking any questions for fear of being ridiculed :(

Nice! A discussion about one of my favorite things! The bottles or cans discussion reminded me of a Fun beer related band from Winnipeg who have a song called Bottles or Cans: Legion of Liquor, a heavy metal choir dedicated to all things booze related! http://www.myspace.com/thelegionofliquor As far as favorite brands go i'm pretty much all over the map but some old reliable choices are Keith's, Moosehead, Big Rock's Traditional Ale (delicious on tap!), Pilsner (apparently you can't buy it east of Manitoba, can anyone confirm this for me?), and Standard Lager (label looks like a budweiser label, also, I don't think you can get it outside of Manitoba). Favorite bar beers: Anything from Half Pints (a local brewery) Kilkenny Strongbow (not a beer, but oh well) Tipsy Toad lager (brewed exclusively for my favorite local watering hole, The Toad) And every so often I enjoy dirty old guy beer and buy a bunch of OV. I think it's 'cuase my dad drank it when I was growing up so I acquired a taste for it, plus you can take it to a party and nobody will steal it! A fun drink for patio season: The porch climber, In a pint glass pour 2 shots of vodka, fill the glass 2/3 of the way with a lighter beer and top it off with lemonade. Enjoy blacking out! :P

Holy crap, too chicken to get re-pierced but you're okay with the idea of branding. I get the feeling you've got a much higher pain threshold than I! Anyone else have or is considering getting a brand or other less common body mod? I think i'm finally calling it quits with the piercing as well. I don't want a tackle box face and i'm still a bit gun shy after what happened last time I was freshly pierced (seriously, who punches someone in the EAR?!)
