  1. Trying to decide whether I should wear a hideous Hawaiian shirt or a tuxedo t-shirt to the show tonight...
  2. Depending on my mood, I can be a real sucker for a sad song. I'm curious to know which songs about love, loss, or whatever, strike a chord with my fellow Cerb-ites Come on, don't be shy! ;) I recently saw Sebastian Bach in concert, and it reminded me how much I enjoy Skid Row's I Remember You
  3. I believe that I love beer! But seriously, I do believe I have either felt what would be called love or something that is as close as i'll ever get to. Not going to go into detail, but let's just say I had to take that feeling, lock it in a chest and kick it down into the deepest part of my soul's basement. So as far as the classic love between a man and woman, for me, I'm not sure. For others, definitely. I witnessed it with my parents, and I see it with my sister and her husband. A love I definitely believe in is a love I have for my niece, a love I have for my relatives even when they are far away, and a love I have for my best friend (been like brothers for 20+ years). Oh and a love I have for beer of course, did I mention that yet? ;)
  4. I've gotta agree with Castle (gee big shock, lol) with some his choices in protagonists who are not necessarily "hero's" The Punisher and The Hulk were always entertaining to me. They didn't fit the traditional heroic mold and chaos generally followed. Another one I loved as a kid was DC's Lobo. Over the top and unabashedly un-PC, Lobo was always a goofy, fun read :)
  5. Youtube, thank you for the bounty thou hast bestowed upon me! :D This fella does ridiculously amazing re-imaginings of a whole range of music Beverly Hills cop theme Moonlight Sonata
  6. Okay, last one out of me for today :p Only because G stands for: Gama Bomb - Metal Idiot and boy do I LOVE Gama Bomb! :)
  7. Misfits - Forbidden Zone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbOY-Vn_7BM
  8. I really love the fact that this book exists :)
  9. Dang it! I think I got sucked into the song thread for a bit! Exodus - Altered Boy
  10. I like Emiafish because of his funny and light hearted posts. A recent example being His post about computer abuse. It gave me the biggest damn belly laugh :D
  11. 1- if you're a gentleman does it bother you that knowing a lady can do your job just as well as you can? Nope. Hobbies are okay too. For example, Ladies in bands = Awesome and more than a little hot! 2- Would you allow her to pick up your tab for dinner? If she wanted to, sure. As long as I can grab it next time 3- Do you know a lot of successful business women? Not necessarily business people. But I've known a fair amount of women who are both damn good at what they do and have gone far with it. My mother comes to mind :) 4- Does a successful business woman scare you about your job security or she may advance more quickly then you? Nope. Hard work should be rewarded. If she worked harder, she earned it I've worked under both men and women in the workplace. I could give a rat's ass about what they were packin' under their clothing, as long as they treat me fairly and pull their weight
  12. NOFX - The Decline http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwGJ0EHdXDc
  13. Have you ever done something dumb enough to have a person who is very competent at what they do (and who is also willing to help you for some strange reason) give you a very irritated look of resignation? I got that look from my buddy who is great with computers a few years ago.
  14. A big one would be my teeth. I've mostly made my peace with how they look at this point, but sometimes I still wonder if people would approach me differently if they'd been fixed when I was younger. Aside from that, The little bit of gut flab is getting worked on and the rest of me is rad as shit!!! ;)
  15. Well sir, First off, I offer my sympathies. As we get older it gets more and more difficult (not to mention irritating) to start from square one again. Sorry to hear about your situation dude :( As explorer69 stated, there's plenty of work out in Fort Macmurray. A close friend of mine from Nova Scotia has been able to provide his family with a much more stable life by going to the oil fields than he ever could have back home. I guess you just have to ask yourself if you're willing to travel west and do that sort of work with a clear conscience, otherwise it probably is not for you ;) Or perhaps looking into some sort of schooling or other courses in a different field from the one you are currently in might be the way to go?
  16. Listening to Sacrifice and surfing CERB whilst waiting for my bbq to heat up
  17. Well, I think i'm at least a few years away before i'm allowed to have a mid-life crisis. However, I did start finding grey hairs in my late teens. I must admit It freaked me out at first, but I eventually shrugged and figured there was tons of other ridiculous, inconsequential stuff I never worry about, so why would grey hair be a special case :P
  18. Both my forearms and the fingers on my left hand bear multiple scars from various burns and cuts I've sustained from 13 years of work in various kitchens. I didn't always have the best knife skills when I was younger. they aren't really noticeable unless you're looking for them. The one noticeable one is on the inside of my left forearm, it's the result of a lighter and dumbassery. The other fun ones I have are a couple of small ones on the knuckles of my index and middle finger on my right hand. I was washing dishes years ago and a glass broke in my hand. No first aid stuff in the house, plus I'd had a few to drink so I wasn't leaving to pick any up. I wound up wrapping the fingers in kleenex, then winding an old bootlace around them. Needless to say the damage healed perfectly! ;)
