  1. Dude! If I get any greener, i'll be able to blend in perfectly with the hideous 70's couch in my living room! How the heck did you pull that off?? (aside form being pretty and awesome of course) The closest I ever got to them was when the singer Russ, clipped the side of my head with his shoe as he jumped off the stage to confront some jackass who'd thrown a bottle at the band. You'd better believe that was the last time they played Winnipeg :( I believe that was the same night a member of the japanese band Nicotine got mugged and seriously injured outside the venue... Fun and games in the west end of 'Peg city... yeesh
  2. Heck yeah! I played the hell out of Pennywise's about time album when I was a kid, same with Rancid's And out come the wolves! Did you ever listen to Good Riddance's 1999 album, Operation Phoenix?
  3. I can't believe I forgot to mention the Headstones! 90's Canadian content at it's finest!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHVZtB4tFn4&feature=related
  4. lol, awesome! Well, it may not be proper and "authentico", me being of Scottish descent and all, but keep your eyes peeled for some pretty rockin' pasta, Pollo (chicken), and scallopine (veal) recipes! :)
  5. Sorry, i don't mean to "hijack" the thread but I agree with the above post about single moms. I was lucky to have grown up in a house with both parents that loved each other very much. My best friend in the whole world however, was not so lucky. He never knew his father, but despite that, or maybe because of it, his mother is an amazing woman who raised a very intelligent, hard working son. When he became a father a few years ago, i could see in his eyes that being absent in his daughter's life was absolutely not an option! It still blows my mind a few years later to see the look of complete adoration he gets when his daughter comes home from daycare and just how seamlessly he made the shift from a man who wasn't sure where his life was going to the devoted father and husband he is today. Sorry about that off topic musing! That being said, from my admittedly very limited experience concerning Sp's, I must say it's pretty rad to see so many women who are intelligent, and comfortable in their own skins who happened to choose a somewhat unorthodox way to make a living as far as society's perception of normal or proper is concerned.
  6. Awesome thread!!! I cook for a living (it's the only skill I have that's applicable to the real world, lol) and freakin' love making others smile with my creations! Anyone here a fan of Italian food? :D
  7. I have a question that's been nagging me in regards to this subject. Is is it considered bad form for a client to politely turn down alcohol if a SP offers it?
  8. I'm a sucker for duets! Dropkick Murphys Feat. Liza Graves - Dirty Glass Not sure if this is Irish, but oh well. The Pogues Feat. Kristy McColl - Fairytale of New York
  9. I can't believe I forgot about Rust in Peace!!!! That album is a Thrashterpiece! Megadeth - Take No Prisoners http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRzUU7C8v6A However, I have to disagree on your statement regarding The 90's being a write off without Pantera. Slayer released Seasons in The Abyss, Sepultura released the classic Arise, as well as Chaos A.D, And my personal favorites, D.R.I. had a pair of solid slabs of crossover thrash in Definition and Full Speed Ahead. The 90's were actually fairly great as far as Thrash and Punk was concerned
  10. Elton John - Tiny Dancer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRK5vLUYLmg
  11. Dead Kennedys - MTV Get Off The Air Punk rock bands making use of mariachi horns makes me smile every time!
  12. What you seek, you shall never find. For when the gods made man, They kept immortality for themselves. Fill your belly. Day and night make merry, Let days be full of joy. Love the child that holds your hand. Let your wife delight in your embrace. For these alone are the concerns of man -The Epic of Gilgamesh
  13. As far as "popular music" went, I feel the 90's were pretty weak. But there were some great tracks that fell under the radar for sure! Megadeth - A tout le monde Danzig - Devil's Plaything Goofy imagery, good song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvJYlwDnMQg Ben Harper - Give a man a home
  14. I've definitely rocked some red eyes (beer and clamato) on a rough day after. As well, if a day off is involved, a greasy breakfast accompanied by a ceaser and followed by a nap is AMAZING!
  15. I have no problem with beautiful women, in fact, I'm a big fan! But that being said, I don't go to hockey games to ogle pretty ladies. I'm more interested in the fast pace, finesse and strategy. That, and oversized half shaved apes beating the daylights out of each other! I love hockey, and unfortunately, my brain turns to useless mush when a beautiful lady is around. I need my brain to follow the play dammit! :P
  16. The men in my family completely fail at communicating on all levels. So there was no way in hell there was ever going to be "the talk ' between my old man and I. From what I can recall, my education consisted of stupidity and bullsh*t from some friend's older brothers, a giant stack of playboys from the 70's a buddy & I found in his dad's basement, and then sex ed in 7th or 8th grade. Sadly enough, due to the older boy's "explanations", there was a brief period where I actually thought children were pushed out of a woman's backside instead of the vagina. yikes...
  17. Anthrax Feat. Public Enemy - Bring the noise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBA-xi8WuCU
  18. I've always found the best cure is to get some fluids in you and then sweat out the hangover either by engaging in manual labor or going to the gym.
  19. While Heaven Wept - Vessel About as haunting and romantic as a metal song can be
  20. Nice one! Circle Jerks - When The Shit Hits The Fan
