  1. This is probably the most levelheaded response here, Holly.
  2. I should also point out that my comments are not directed to either Emily here--both have had outstanding reviews. You're not the ones that some of us are referring to. I think that the +$300 price that some are referring to, aren't the touring ones or the ones that can back up their quality service. It's the local SP's that appear out of nowhere and try to extract as much money as possible in a short time, in a profession that they hate. You have to understand that this profession isn't like where you get to test drive a car beforehand and see if you like it and want to pay for it. It's a very, very dangerous profession, but it is still generally a luxury to the paying customer. The other board can be filled with guys that are never happy, but take a look at how many borderline scams some women have going on (if what they are saying is true). I've been rushed out the door on more occasions than i'd like to admit. It's a shame to the legit SP's. I'm not saying these things because i'm trying to be super jaded; it would just be nice if i'd had better experiences with the SP's i've been with. And I can tell you this; the ones that do care are posting in this thread. You're not the problem. So I suppose it's a bit like preaching to the converted. It's the laws of business--unfortunately, when some inferior SP's try to raise the prices and do it for the wrong reasons, eventually it cheapens the whole industry. And it's not fair, but that's what happens. I'm not saying this to be harsh; it's applicable to any business across the board. Tessa wanted to know why the prices are getting to be cheapened for SP's, i'm telling the truth here from another perspective. Plus, i'm surprised that some SP's aren't getting more angry with some of the obviously bad SP's.....like certain ones that abuse BP and post a zillion ads a day, ad/ or post fake pics or ones that are badly outdated where they look nothing like they do now. THAT cheapens the whole profession.
  3. All good points. But I should point out that, from a hobbyist's point of view, sometimes it does really get to be difficult to ascertain who is really "above and beyond".....even with homework. I've been recommended certain SP's that I just didn't click with, at all. Here's the thing--I don't expect a one size fits all sort of thing--but there is bound to be times where both SP's and clients don't click, and it's not necessarily either sides' fault. But it does happen. Considering that I don't ask for money back after the session, you'll have to respect and understand that I respect a lady's price up front, and sometimes one can do all their homework, and an SP has a bad night, eventually some of us get that night or day. Everyone that is involved in a customer/ service based industry (that could even be a clerk at WalMart) will have a bad day at some point, just out of fatigue or having other things in one's life that they're being distracted by.
  4. I do have to agree with the guys here that have said that they refuse to see any SP that is too low in price. It's possible that an SP is trying to establish herself (or may offer deals in certain times), but SP-ing is a dangerous profession at times, and it doesn't generally work along the lines of loss leaders. If a lady seems too desperate for money, it's a turn off to me, and it's the same reason why i'd never book time with an SP that has fifty zillion ads on BP per day. My perfect range is $200-$250......because it still leaves well enough room for a good tip, if I feel that a session went really well. Heck, I have bad days at work, it's difficult to always be in the best mood for every customer at every time.
  5. You've really received threats? Wow, that's terrible. Though i've never seen you, I think that your rates are well priced, considering that i've never seen anything but glowing reviews.
  6. That sucks that someone's using your photos. If you want to put some sort of name on your photos, you could just use some sort of graphic/ photo editing program (you can find some free ones online). I occasionally modify photos and need to put text in with them, and I use the program Gimp. It's free. Beware, though, if you put something in your photos, someone could crop them out, so i'd try to put something right in the middle of the picture, so that it would be difficult to use any major part of the picture.
  7. BP, I imagine, would be as crazy as it is suggested in here. I can't imagine the sheer number of morons that would call. It goes both ways, though--as a hobbyist, it sometimes gets difficult to weed out the legitimate new SP's from the scammers. One could say to just go always with the established SP's--which is best--but speaking personally, there's a bit of a thrill of finding a diamond in the rough, or finding someone new, as well.
  8. I think that prices have gotten way too high in the last while. $300.....i've been burnt on that, because i'm assuming that for that price, it's going to be better than usual, and i've had rush jobs at that price. On the other hand, if an SP can guarantee outstanding service, then I think that it's warranted. It's just that "great service" is in the eye of the beholder--far too often, I think that alot of the younger SP's that want to cash in on the "young and hot" thing, think that they can charge $300 for being "young and hot". Not quite. I want a little bit of insight and some ability by them to be able to talk about a wide variety of issues going on in the world, not just the latest Twilight saga, you know what I mean? I actually pay more for the overall experience--the candor, the wisdom, the laughs; the appreciation of culture. I don't go to the Keg and pay $30 bucks for a steak dinner. I don't buy a meal. I buy an experience. I go there to buy the ambience, the multi-course meal; something that I cannot get at home. I apply the same principle to anything that I pay for, and it's why I shop at Safeway, for example, rather than Superstore. Yeah, it's cheaper at Superstore, but you have to bag your own stuff and deal with rude shoppers there. I'm all for the "get what you pay for" mentality, just as long as i'm actually getting more with paying for more. The same holds true for a session--i'm not buying sex, i'm paying for an experience. I mean, it's tough to beat my hand, if you're talking about pure orgasmic quality. I book time with SP's, because there is only so much that my hand can do, y'know? Hope this did well to be objective as to why SP's should be charging no more than $250 if they can't provide a well balanced session. I think that a high price is actually having the opposite effect now....if guys have been burnt on paying for more and still getting less, then why pay more? Edit: also thinking more as to why rates may be lowered, is that the internet has opened up far more competition. BP, in particular, anyone can post there, there's really no quality filter; every SP claims "unrushed" and "great" services, but it gets to be a tad.....tiresome to filter out who's actually great, and who's not. I think that EC sort of filtered it out in that you at least had to pay a high fee to advertise there. Not to say that all the SP's there have had the best services, but it did sort of filter out less serious ones.
  9. Heh, that's rough! No doubt you get some crazy calls at times.
  10. I've been with a few SP's that have divulged what i've felt is pretty personal information--especially in a business that can be as risky as this one is. I've felt that some really have let their guard down. There's been a couple of times, at least, where I really thought that revealing that sort of info, had maybe surpassed into a realm of an attempt at something more. That being said, it would be tough to know. I did meet one girl that openly said that she wouldn't have minded meeting someone through her work. Now, whether that meant "someone that can afford me so that I don't have to see all those other guys", I dunno. :) It would be difficult to be an SP, because I think that if you're too real, too honest, maybe it doesn't seem believable to some clients, and then if you're too nice, too accommodating, then certain clients start to get infatuated with something that they perceive to go beyond mere physical attraction. It's always easy to present the best of yourself, when you only have to present an hour or two here and there....that goes for clients and SP's alike.
  11. Just look at it this way: at least you didn't feel something warm and then realize that you just took a deuce on the guy. :icon_wink:
  12. When I was driving home yesterday, i'd seen by the train tracks on Waverley (right before Taylor), he'd put signs on the barrels of life: "Vote 4 Mr. Jetz" and "If I have to build this damn underpass myself, i'll do it!". What a loser. If I saw him putting those up, I would have said "hey Mr Jetz!" and gave him the finger.
  13. If your girlfriend/ wife asks if her ass looks big in those jeans, lie and say "no, your ass looks awesome". Because if you waffle for even a second, you're a dead man. Women are the masters of body language.
  14. That's a shame to hear, because going off the pictures, she's one of the hottest babes to come up on BP or EC in quite some time. But it's proof of why I won't see any SP under 25....the younger ones always seem to have this attitude. I'd seen people post warning ads on BP about Tessa (including her making appointments that she wouldn't keep...including meeting on certain streets that are well known as streetwalker areas) and was hoping that it was wrong, but when these sorts of things keep on coming up, it's difficult to keep ignoring.
