Today's highlight is that my son FINALLY got a car and I no longer have to share mine with ANYBODY!!! (except when my wife wants to buy crappy furniture). I in fact was going to see a lovely lady today but had to postpone it to Wednesday (the second time I've change the date on her) due to the car sharing issue... but Wednesday is set!!! yippee. Finger's crossed she doesn't have any furniture to buy on Wednesday... I hate driving her car.

Thinking about the loss of a family member 3 years ago. I Grieve by Peter Gabriel... it was about his marriage which is different, but most of the emotion works well.

Another delay before my gets his car (apparently his salesman was in a car accident which caused the first delay). So instead of having fun on Monday on a hot date, I have to drive my son to his car dealer... but after that I should have fewer car related scheduling problems for my hobby life.

Saturday we rented "Despite the Falling Snow" which I suppose is a chick flick, but there are spy, so I was ok watching it. My wife actually stayed awake for the whole movie which is very very unusual... I love the title... very poetic. The film runs in two time periods... 1960 and 1992 and jumps chaotically back and forth between the two... In 1960 Sasha is falling in love with the beautiful Katya... but Katya is a spy delivering info to the Americans. In the 1992, Sasha's niece is investigating what happened to her Aunt Katya. The pivotal moment occurred when Sasha defected to the US, leaving Katya behind even though he was assured by her that she was going to join him in America. So he spends his life morning her loss. The movie was overall quite sweet and sad... my only objection was that they didn't speak Russian and didn't even try a Russian Accent. Russian with subtitles would have made the film much more engrossing (but then my wife would probably have fallen asleep as she doesn't like reading subtitle). Katya looked the part of a beautiful Russian Femme Fatale, but the lack of an accent weakened the overall effect. Overall I'd recommend it as a bitter sweet love story, but not much of a spy thriller as there was only any real action for 30 seconds in total in the entire movie. The song that was used for the closing credits is rather pretty and does a good job of showing you the whole story... its by Ella Henderson... "Now that you love me again."

between the hedges at the Zoo with my Fiancé (and still wife)... broad daylight also similarly between the hedges at night in Ontario Place that same summer. She was wild back then... not so much anymore. These days she won't do it if any of our adult kids are awake in the house. -
Rented Hidden Figures on the weekend... a bizarre world where people served as computers to double check on engineering calculations... where a pool of black ladies who worked as computers had to run around looking for a blacks only bathroom... In the film things changes as the valuable contribution is recognized etc... its a very good movie... about a time of great transition...

Many years ago before I was married, my fiancé and I lived in different cities and could only see each other on the weekends... We had no car, no room to meet in, her house was out of the questions (her Dad threatened me once), and we had very limited financial resources so we volunteer together at a hospital to run a library for patients on the weekends from 1 to 4... and after we closed up the place at 4... made like bunnies in the back room... the only place with no security cameras... It was not very comfortable, but the best we could find. -
my son bought a new car, but hasn't been able to get it yet because of some delays by the dealer... so I had to cancel a date tomorrow because my son will probably need a drive to work...

One last visit to a young lady who has become a dear old friend... She's been retired for about 2 years... but a couple weeks ago, she came out of retirement for me... again... Soon she'll leave town again and I won't see her for a few more months... maybe never again... but you never know... Seeing her is always a lovely surprise

Price depends on Location. In downtown Toronto the going rate down town for an hour is between 240 and 300 for an hour, and a bit of a break on 2 hours etc. I personally avoid half hour session because of disappointing experiences...
