Mulholland Drive (directed by David Lynch), on DVD... a bizarre film, but then that's David Lynch for you. This was triggered by a recent discussion about the up coming new series "Twin Peak" with my favourite lady recently... apparently we are both David Lynch fans, but I hadn't seen Mulholland Drive before (and she hasn't seen Inland Empire). If you are ok with confusion and don't mind being puzzled... its a great film to watch.

Did you use powerpoint? thanks for asking... my animation that I did last night just to make sure I knew the right instruction was of waves that I had meant to animate, but never gotten around to it... looks cool.

yes several... Windows Movie Maker does a great job. you can also use Powerpoint Windows movie maker takes a bit more learning to use, but its has some cool editing features, and you can also put on sound and manipulate it (fade in, fade out). Powerpoint is easier to use and when you are finished you set it into automatic advance and it will click through to the end... there are other programs. For powerpoint, I just whipped up a power point display... took me 10 minutes to animate 8 pictures. you go to transitions and at the very far right you will see "advance on" select the time... and select how long you want each slide to be shown for... if you really want film speed, select less then 1 second per slide... 00:00:10 (1/10 of a second) is a decent animation speed. and click apply to all slides.

Good point. That I think is precisely why friendship and sexually usually don't mix. The ladies I had who were social friends, who briefly (all tooo briefly) became lovers, didn't want to just be friends after that... so the friendship was ruined... couldn't put sexuality away again... In the case of SP... a relationship is NOT an expectation, so the sex and friendship don't conflict with each other and if anything enhances the enjoyment.

"And that friend would still charge for being a friend!" LOL... The lady I see does not charge me for being a friend... the friendship is free... I'll note that in my life I've had more female friends then male friends, but sex often eventually gets in the way of friendship and the friendship ends. I've never had a friend, who became and lover, and continued to be my friend... In fact crossing that line into sex ended 2 friendships. One because my wife found out and part of reconciling with her was to never see that friend again (in fact we moved to a different city)... but both also became really awkward once sex was involved. I've lost two other friendships because of sexual complications. In one case, the woman flirted with me and I didn't respond as she had hoped... and that was it, the friendship was gone. I have had friendships that have not gotten sexual, but typically they are work related and that work relationship is an effective barrier to getting involved sexually (for practical and legal reasons). That said, those work friendship do tend to be shallow because there is always some sexual tension. In fact there is only one woman in my life who I can honestly say, sex does not get in the way of friendship... my wife... lol... I jest of course... but the fact is I actually like my wife as a friend and its that friendship that explains why we are still together after 31 years... (it sure isn't for the sex, or lack there of, lol).

Bacon would be appreciated, but usually when horny, I like something light. Lol. as a hobbiest for my longer dates, I usually provide the food... Either a restaurant first or on a few occasions, I've cooked dinner for her. This is a great thread. I want to add that i'm personally very grateful to the ladies I've met for adding so much joy and excitement to my life.

Currently nothing, but earlier in my car I was listening to Das Rheingold... an opera by Wagner. In particular the part where Loge reports that he's travelled all around the world and has not found anything a man that would take in exchange for giving up the love of a beautiful woman; nothing except... he leaves for the end... except Alberect who has apparently sworn off love in order to possess the gold of the Rhine. This happened because the Rhinemaidens were teasing him and then rejecting him so he got mad enough to swear that he would never love... and that made it possible for him to take the gold... Volton, the king of the gods, thinks, Alberect will be a formidable enemy with that gold... I'd better take it away from him... So they go to Nibbleheim convince Alberect to show off his new power by turning into a frog, and they catch the frog... ribbit... An amazing opera. So the gold goes to the Giants, and Fafner turns himself into a dragon to protect the gold. The song where Loge is telling about how no man will give up love... (Except Alberect) is so beautiful.

After the disaster on "Mother's day', I finally got to see the young lady today... we toasted a glass of wine to "Mother's day", lol. Now all is right in the world.

finished and mailed in my taxes (3.2 K coming back to me), mowed the lawn, trimmed the edges, cut apart some metal framework for a broken gazebo tent so that we can throw it out... and prepared to meet a lady... but that didn't go so well... for more on that story... see "Things that Suck"!!!

My wife was out of the house all day with her Mother... and her daughter... and planned to stay over with her mom. So I thought I'd have some fun. Yes on Mother's day... Anyway, I know this fabulous Asian lady who I've seen 5 times before. I contacted yesterday and she was excited about the idea of getting together. I told her I'd confirm it in the afternoon and did so at 12pm and we arranged to meet at 6, and I booked a hotel. Well at 4:30 as I was getting ready to go and see her, she texted me she had to see her mother (it being mothers day) but would join me at 10 and stay over... I quickly replied that 10 was too late and I couldn't do an over night because I have to work in the morning and asks if she can she see me earlier. Apparently she didn't get my response because her battery died. I think she had forgotten it was mothers day until her sister showed up and told her the family plans. I didn't hear from her again until 8 at which time she said she can see me at 9, but by that point it was too late. For 2 reasons... Its an hours drive to the hotel... and meanwhile my wife texted me and said she's not staying over at her mother anyway, and will be home around 9, ruling out forgoing sleep and visiting the lady anyway. And so the hotel room never got used (and was non-refundable). Anyway the lady apologised profusely for misunderstanding about the over night. She assumed that because my wife was sleeping over with her mom, we could spend the night together... I did correct her but I don't think she reads too carefully (may also be some language issues)... add to that apparently her cell phone battery died while she was out with her mother, which was why she didn't get back to me until 8. She's a sweet lady and has promised to make it up to me... but no specifics were given. Anyway, overall its been a very very disappointing day... one more disappointment is that my wife who had said she would be home at 9... is still not home... at 10; with my luck she'll get home at midnight... meaning that I could have seen the lady and got back in time... Anyway, it probably serves me right for trying to cheat on the mother of my children, on mother's day. LOL She got back at 10:30. Funny... I just found out my wife thought I wanted her home tonight... that's why she came home...
