  1. In other places, there's been quite a few posts shared regarding the latest hotel elevator info. Here is what I got out of the last 4 months of posts. Please note that several of these hotels seemed to have change their policy at least once. This is the most recent info, but you may find a different situation when you actually check-in. Hotels that REQUIRE a room key to use the elevator at all times: Hotel 10 (Hotel formely known as Opus) Candlewood Suites Courtyard Marriott Days Inn (Rene-Levesque) Embassy Suites Le Crystal Le Dauphin Downtown Hilton Garden Inn Holiday Inn Express Holiday Inn Montreal Midtown Inter-Continental Montreal Airport Marriott Hotel Novotel St-Martin W Montreal Le Westin The following Hotel(s) MAY require a room key to use the elevators during evening hours: Loews Vogue Ritz Carlton Hotels that require a room key for certain "premium" floors: Delta MTL Fairmont Q.E. Meridien Versailles The following Hotel(s) sometimes has security checking for room keys at certain times (usually evening during nearby events): Sheraton Centre
  2. There's nothing wrong with being cautious and trying to figure out what works best for you.

As usual, thanks to tiannas and everyone else who has shared info!
  4. In another post, I offered that my estimation of Nadya's has maybe gone up over the past 1/2 year. Now, I personally have only visited with one of their ladies, who has since left, so this is not all personal experience. Just my reading of what is available on the web. The booker is consistently well-regarded. The website and ads are all very clear about available services and pricing. The roster has been rather consistent of late and does lean a little on the PSE side as of right now. Most of the ladies have multiple good reviews on TER and the "green" board. Nadya's own "unique" online personality has seemed to mellow of late and online critiques have all been handled professionally. I would say this agency is on the upswing.
  5. Yup, since Jan, Eleganza has closed shop, Our Affair begat Indy Companion, Sexy Indies became Girlfriend, GoodGirls became Girls4U. One Asian agency disappeared, and another went lower profile. Delight/xxxtasy continue to waffle on whether they are 1 or 2 agencies. Nadya's has maybe inched itself up in my initial rankings, and many, many independents have appeared and disappeared,--some yet again re-appearing. Half a year is a long time in this business. Even if Gabriella and Lily didn't have sterling reputations and great board personas, they would still be exceptional in their consistency!
  6. Hotel Le Dauphin Montreal Downtown REQUIRES a room key. A small hotel with a small lobby and even smaller staff, but I still made it work. If I get another hotel to add, I'll re-post the list... For now it seems silly to repeat it all for this one addition.
  7. The Hyatt location truly is great. The cons were the pricey parking, the pricey wifi, the barely functioning fridge. However, as noted above, it can be gotten pretty cheap. On Priceline, the Hyatt is very easy to spot as it is the only 3.5 star in the convention center zone that does not have free wifi or breakfast. Currently you can snag it for $81 USD for most days....
  8. The Courtyard certainly is shiny! I had a great view of it from the Hyatt last fall. However, the Courtyard Marriott does require a room key to use the elevator, according to another member. Again, this is a non-issue for some, and a big deal for some. I updated the list due to this conversation making me realize I hadn't yet! http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=570182#post570182
  9. Couldn't edit, so had to re-post to update the list. Hotels that REQUIRE a room key to use the elevator: Hotel 10 (Hotel formely known as Opus) Candlewood Suites Courtyard Mariott Le Crystal Embassy Suites Hilton Garden Inn Holiday Inn Express Holiday Inn Montreal Midtown Inter Continental Loews Vogue Montreal Airport Marriott Hotel Novotel St-Martin W Montreal Le Westin The following require a room key for certain "premium" floors: Delta MTL Fairmont Q.E. Finally the following Hotel(s) sometimes has security checking for room keys at certain times (usually evening during nearby events): Sheraton Centre
  10. Stevesax: First, I hope you don't give any ladies "SteveSax" disease! I'm not sure what the Canadian/Hockey equivalent would be to the inability to throw a baseball 35 feet, but it would be pretty embarrassing! Second, I don't really want to run afoul of the board rules, but I am also not entirely inclined to re-read them at this moment.... Ah, here are my "recommended" Montreal mainstream agencies: Montreal Sex City (MSC) GoodGirls WildTime The second pack includes: Asservisante Satin Dreamz Eleganza MTLGFE delight/XXtasy Nadya's After that you get The various "Angels" agencies The various Asian agencies which many think are all one entity XXXceptions Beyond that watch out! There are also at least three Indy cabals which have good reviews: OurAffiair Sexy Indies French Kiss Society. I do not have a personal history with all of these agencies (4 actually + 4 independents), but I am summarizing my opinion of the public record for the listed agencies. As usual YMMV Additional Comments: Most of us when we say "value" are trying to be polite about rates. I should point out that both MSC and Wildtime have among the lowest rates while also being excellent on all fronts. It's really astonishing if you come from the States..
  11. Well, the answer is it depends... Ha! Independents pretty much rule this board (and that's a good thing!), so if you only looked at this board, you would think that Independents are the way to go. Montreal, however, has many well-established agencies with good reputations for honest dealings and great women. Personally, I thought I would end up preferring independents because I like the idea of having a conversation with someone beforehand via e-mail. However, my actual experience has been that my encounters with independents were neither better nor different than with the most highly regarded Montreal agency ladies...., and most were slightlyl more expensive. If you have a particular type or wish and/or have a limited schedule, then an Independent is a good choice as they can be easier to pre-book. I like to pre-book, and every trip I have had at least one cancellation (both agency and independent). The good ones communicate and try to work out some other meeting, with an agency there is more flexibility, but a great independent can do the same as well. If I had to generalize, I would say there are probably less than five great Agencies in Montreal with lovely, varied choices, decent communication, and honest advertising. Behind them is another five or so with hit or miss potential and a little false advertising and up-selling. Behind them are another 5-10 with extremely questionable consistency and value. For any given night there might be 10-30 ladies working for that first-tier group. That's a a lot of choices and value compared to many cities.
  12. Here is the revised list incorporating Tiannas' recent contributions. Hotels that REQUIRE a room key to use the elevator: Hotel 10 (Hotel formely known as Opus) Candlewood Suites Le Crystal Embassy Suites Hilton Garden Inn Holiday Inn Express Holiday Inn Montreal Midtown Inter Continental Loews Vogue Montreal Airport Marriott Hotel Novotel St-Martin W Montreal Le Westin The following require a room key for certain "premium" floors: Delta MTL Fairmont Q.E. Finally the following Hotel(s) sometimes has security checking for room keys at certain times (usually evening during nearby events): Sheraton Centre I also saw the Days Inn listed once, but haven't been able to confirm that because the searching for "days" is pretty darn unproductive. Any additions, corrections or subtractions, and I'll edit the list. {Edited} Thank you!
  13. I agree. I had a similar post a while back. Short version: the "green" board has way more activity, but the people here are nicer. I still feel that way. Thanks for your contributions to the Reco section!
  14. So reading through all the posts and other sources here is a list of Hotels that REQUIRE a room key to use the elevator: Hotel 10 (Hotel formely known as Opus) Candlewood Suites Le Crystal Embassy Suites Hilton Garden Inn Holiday Inn Express Inter Continental Loews Vogue Novotel St-Martin W Montreal Le Westin The following require a room key for certain "premium" floors: Delta MTL Fairmont Q.E. I also saw the Days Inn listed once, but haven't been able to confirm that because the searching for "days" is pretty darn unproductive. Any additions, corrections or subtractions, and I'll edit the list. {Edited} per some feedback I have received on another board.
  15. I was able to meet with lovely Miss Divina for a few hours, and I thought she was wonderful. So easy to talk with and just as advertised. Her 1000-watt smile is unforgettable. For those that like a bit more than just numbers and acts, she won't disappoint. All communication through e-mail was friendly and clear. We may have a couple mis-steps due to language differences, but they were honestly arrived at and quickly dispatched. I'm glad I got to meet her because I have long admired and appreciated her "voice" on the boards.
  16. Thanks to my reading of all the available reviews, I was able to choose and meet with five lovely ladies last week. None disappointed in any way, but Christina was by far the most surprising. I so thoroughly enjoyed meeting her, that I had to quickly and completely revise not only my "wish list" but also my "wish schedule" of Montreal visits. All this despite, certain parts of me not cooperating as I would have liked during our time together. Christina's amazing physical attributes are clearly on display on MSC's website. My only hesitation with booking with her was that she was not listed as "non-smoker." However, I could only sense a very faint trace of odor on her body and her mouth was deliciously fresh. I'd say her English is perfect-- Well perfectly Canadian--I think I heard a few "eh's!" Her face, her eyes, her body are all beautiful and she was just so easy to talk to. She is also humble, as a couple times she would couch her analysis of her skills or ideas on the business by saying "but I am just starting out..." Translation: She wants to and anticipates getting better and she doesn't think she know it all already. What a sweet girl. I hope to get another chance to redeem myself with her. Quick note on booking with MSC: There was a problem with one of my bookings, and Luc (I believe) left the perfect message on my phone. Since I had made my arrangements by e-mail, he knew I already had the info I needed, so he offered nothing incriminating in the message. Just: "hi, this is Luc with MSC, please call us." No phone number or anything. Clearly discrete on purpose. As it was, I was just out and about avoiding the maid and didn't require that level of discretion, but I certainly appreciate it.
  17. I do not have first-hand knowledge of these hotels, just reporting what I have read. As with everything on the internet--take with a grain (sack?) of salt! The Hilton Garden Inn (Sherbrooke/Park ave.) The Vogue Novotel Le Westin Le St-Martin Hotel and Suites All require room keys to access the elevators. If anyone has any actual details to report, then I will gladly edit and amend the list.
  18. In the interest of sharing knowledge, I'd like to start listing the Montreal Hotels that do require a room key to use the elevators. For some, this isn't a issue as they don't mind meeting the lady downstairs. For others, perhaps this will be a useful resource. The Embassy Suites in Old Town requires a room key.
  19. I can't be of much help as the only downtown hotel I stayed at was the Residence Inn on Peel. However, I did not have any "visitors," so I cannot comment on that aspect. The hotel is nice enough and would be a good location for some. My last trip, I stayed out of the downtown area in Longueuil at the Le Dauphin. It's a small hotel, but neither of my guests had any trouble making it to my room. The roads and construction around that location, however, are bizarre and can slow you down. Finally, there are a few downtown hotels that require keycards to use the elevator. There are other boards where they list such hotels. I know the Embassy Suites does require a key card to use the elevator. Hmm.. maybe I'll start a thread on this board.....
  20. Thanks to the couple of folks who defended me. Again, I was trying to be funny. Compared to what was written before and after my post, I was a little disturbed that mine was considered offensive. I said nothing of the people, amenities, services, culture, crime, hospitals etc. I merely stated that if you drive past Saint John it resembles Scranton from a geographic and economic history perspective. I thought it obvious that no sane person would actually judge and condemn a city based solely on the evidence gathered at 65mph. And of course, saying "if Scranton was oceanfront" is like saying "we would have won if that shot had gone in".. That's a big what-if and is kind of a ridiculous mental exercise aka not worthy of serious reflection. The reason I quoted Zealous4u is because there are probably 30 similar sized cities in N. America that you could say that about. Are they all as old as Saint John? No, but they all had pretty much the same 20th century, ending with a cratering of population sometime around the 70s. Does that make them the same? No. Are they similar? Look at these pictures: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Saint_John,_NB,_skyline_at_dusk8.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Downtown_Scranton.JPG Saint John's got the ocean and Scranton's got more trees. Again, I wasn't even talking about the "downtown" just the hillside sprawl. Also again, I live in a tiny town, so all hillside sprawl looks repulsive to me--doesn't mean I feel a particular animosity toward Saint John's or Scranton's. Finally, the reason I had to make the post is because I had made the SJ = Scranton + Ocean joke in my head almost two years ago when I first went there. This thread's mix of upset SP's, flaky clients, blanket generalizations, Zealous's defense, etc. all seemed like a bad storyline on a show about a small fish in small city who thinks he's a big fish in a medium city. The fact that show has been neither good nor funny for about five years ago fueled my very sarcastic show pitch. [drops the mike emphatically... crowd is silent, nervous looks exchanged, VERY uncomfortable silence followed by weak smattering of applause..]
  21. I wasn't trying to offend, just draw humorous parallels. Both are around 70k. My guess is that Saint John used to be famous for some sort of industry that ain't quite what it used to be. And, though I doubt Scranton has much charm, I bet if you replaced one bordering range of low-slung mountains with the ocean, it would improve it's tourism too. That's all I was saying. As far as The Office, the American version is much nicer to Scranton than the British version is to Slough(?) which is treated as a punchline unto itself for it's bland suburban nothingness. I guess my humor (humour?) failed to land. My apologies.
  22. I hope everyone forgives my tangent. I agree with a lot of what the cooler heads have added to this thread, but I cannot resist the setup. To me Saint John looked and felt like an an oceanfront Scranton. Highway right through it, gravel pits and other industrial areas climbing up the hillsides right next to awkwardly placed condos and apartments. So, for you fans of the American version of The Office, just picture the long lost episode where Michael Scott hilariously tries to meet up with a SP! Oh, the misuse of acronyms, the text message hijinx, Dwight's "recommendations!" Full disclosure, I live in a town of less than 1,000, so I judge neither Scranton nor Saint John for their big city dreams and little city realities.
  23. I was trying for the funny! I've received a bit of guidance there in regards to hotels, parking, cell phones, etc, so I can't say they aren't helpful. It's just the tone is not as pleasant as it is here.
  24. Thank you, I totally misunderstood Jabba's question. I was trying to be oblique enough to respect the rules...
  25. Maybe here's a way around the rules: I'll discuss what I like about CERB and that will pretty much be the opposite of what you will find in other places. 1. Respect for all. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. It's amazing how much nicer it is here, if you've hung out in other places. 2. The diverse and helpful contributions of the SPs. Topics rarely remain one-sided here. 3. The Mods are unobtrusive, yet very effective--things rarely get out of hand. 4. Reviewers don't come off as OCD number crunchers consuming women like some sort of Alien researcher! I haven't found these four things anywhere else.
