The booth area has changed four times in the last 10 years or so. Now it's two makeshift booths next to the stage. I don't think the stage is ever used. No stage duty for the dancers here. At one time they were changing the bar to nightime karaoke. I was there recently around nine pm and looks like they have gone back to regular dancers.

There can be dangers in DFK with herpes and other things. There is an exchange of body fluids. As a matter of fact it's listed somewhere on cerb as a risky activity. Crazy as innocent as it sounds, it was our first teenage sex activity. I love DFK, not trying to be prudish. But I always wonder after if something may happen

This has happened to naive me a few times. Things get hot and heavy in the CR and dancer teases you and baits you for further activities outside the CR ( take-out). Meanwhile the dances pile up as the dancer offers a little preview of things to come. Phone numbers are exchanged, I would add: never give out yours. The rendez-vous never happens, as her cell number is a phony, or she never answers. Like an idiot, you are all excited despite no phone confirmation, you show up at discussed meeting place. However no-one is there. However you are probably out at least a hundred dollars or so for phony promises in the CR. Moral of the story these dancers are not your friends, if you want sex there are lots of better and chaeper options out there. Like CERB recos.

This request seems to come up every so often. Look if you want a massage go to a Registed Massage Therapist, if you want some extras there are plenty of options out there. Don't ask a professional to break the law. Same goes for insurance receipts. Same can be said about strip clubs, seems lapdances are accepted now and are the norm, but don't ask the lady to become a service provider in the CR. There are plenty of options out there outside of a SC. If there are illegal activities back there the SC will be busted, or the dancer will lose her job, and worse yet pimps and drugs become a part of the illegal scene.

The SC's are getting fewer and fewer. I think this type of entertainment has outpriced itself. A few dances in the CR can get pricey in the face of other options,

If there is any exchange of body fluids then there is potential for STD's. that can even be DFK. Yes I have heard both parties say "don't worry I'm clean". That can be dangerous. Safe sex using a condom and staying away from any activity of body fluid transfer can still be enjoyable.

If you go to stripclublist.com, you will see lots of reviews. It's an unmonitored site, so there are some 'off the wall' comments. YMMV in the CR, more liberal in Laval.

I have witnessed unsafe sex practices in the CR. Also ( not in all cases) drug issues. The CR is fun for a tease or two, but that's it.

The last SC I went to only weeks ago it was quite evident that two of the dancers were high, sluring their speech, very skinny and on had bad teeth. Looked like crack addiction to me me. This is also very strange to me so I could be wrong, I never have experienced crack. Also a supposedly 'driver' was hanging around for some time doing some collecting. Was is it a driver? The club I will not mention, but it is not in the "A" category. I was quite shocked and won't go there again. So is this just the scene at Taboo and the likes, or could it happen anywhere? There's lots of cash at these places and those who pray on them making the cash. Dealers and pimps I believe. Let the client be aware.

The number of SC's in Ottawa and environs has decreased over the years. Places like Taboo and others that harbor crime will lose their liquor license. There are very nice clubs, better class ones. But the others with all the cash attract dealers for the drug users and pimps for the dancers. That's the way I see it.

Grandma's, heavyweights, dentures and once in a while a dancer who just wants to get out of the Ottawa/Gatineau limelight. If you are on the way to Cornwall or Montreal may be worth a stop just for curiosity.

Passed by again Friday, just couldn't work up the nerve to go in. There was the washing machine sitting outide, the place looked shut and the Honda CRV parked in front. Drove by there today, yes it's in the back part of Asia River, separate door. I wasn't sure I was at right pace. Looked locked up, an old washing machine outside. Frankly I was a bit intimidated to go to the door, didn't look right. Is this place still around?

Didn't realize there were would be so much response to this thread. I was surprised there are dancers on a Tuesday, last I heard about a year ago that they are only there from Thursday afternoon about 4:00PM through Saturday. Do they still have those primitive booths next to the stage? Just couldn't rationalize the long drive out there, uness I was on my way to Montreal or Cornwall.
