  1. I love the snickers ads, especially that one. Some commercials are better than the shows they interrupt. there is also a thread I had stated a while ago with a few funny ones enjoy:) http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=131361 one of my recent favorites is
  2. Here is an interesting article for those who seek information about made in or not made in china products. http://www.orwelltoday.com/foodchinamade.shtml I think highly of those who try and sustain their health, community and country by buying local or only made in Canada but it is becoming very hard to do so, especially when a lot of labelled made in Canada products or their ingredients are sourced or actually made elsewhere. But if we want it Canadian, or at least North American we all have to be very careful shoppers. We do vote with our dollars after all and those with children can teach them such, if they choose to do so.
  3. Thanks Mistert I forgot about that thread perhaps I should have done a search, my bad:) good to know
  4. I too will avoid anything labelled "made in China" especially and since I became aware of their use of dog and cat fur. Many stuffed animals and toys coming from China can have dog/cat fur on them and not be labelled as such. Laws are very slack to non-existent when it comes to food prep, and what they can use. It is becoming harder and harder though to find anything that hasn't been made there. So one has to be very careful when shopping.
  5. I confess that they moved me as well. Anyone speaking openly and willing to share their personal feelings are to be greatly admired, that takes courage-thank you for doing so. I also confess that I eat way to much junk food!
  6. Wishing you an extra special day, Happy Birthday Cato:)
  7. A fun filled day for lovers was nearly turned into something awful. Thankfully because of good work by our police, Rcmp and others an attempt to kill many in a public venue was foiled. http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/n-s-police-say-they-ve-foiled-attempt-to-kill-people-in-a-public-place-1.2235864
  8. Lol, I'm surprised Halifax didn't top the list, Kentville? Well I'll have to take a drive;)Yes though it may be a skewed survey it is interesting, thanks for posting it:)
  9. I don't think I'm playing this game right, but I had a wiener with the works for supper:)
  10. Negotiating may be a part of life but it's not welcomed in the companionship market, even by those who may do it and it's never considered respectful, pushed or when done politely. I would think that if someone has the feeling that some companions are having hard times for whatever reasons and because of that are willing to negotiate rather than going with nothing, then beating them down, I think, is taking advantage of them. I would think a gentleman wouldn't want to do that. Why would a guy feel good about causing a woman to loose some income? The guy doesn't loose out because he CAN do without, this isn't a necessity for the client, it's a luxury! Many girls/guys in the business can't do without and when pushed into a corner some feel obligated to cave. You see for most of us this goes beyond having a few bucks in our pockets, it about respect, appreciation, understanding, compatibility, sharing and learning. There are many types in this business after all, some are experienced, informed, confident and business minded, others are inexperienced, uninformed, insecure, going through hardships and so on. Negotiating with the latter would only be cruel imo. This business isn't like buying a home/car/clothing, after all, it's very personal, individual and simply can't compare to any. Human beings aren't negotiable merchandise, if we request a fee for our time then let it be that. I find it amusing that some guys would think that a negotiator would be a welcomed client, or well thought of and don't we all want to be liked and appreciated by whom we are seeing?
  11. I hope you don't mind me saying, it's very brave of you to admit this and to share. I wouldn't be to hard on yourself though, we all grieve differently and handle someone we care for dying differently. No one should judge and none of us will know how we will handle death when it comes for us until it happens. What matters is you cared. Hugs

  14. I confess that I've thought about what Aqua's touch would be like;)
  15. Although I do still go to my MD for obvious reasons, I now rely on a naturopath for any curatives. Doctors base their results on general levels, ex-my iron was low, by my DR's standards it was in normal range, my naturopath found it to be significantly low, placed me on supplements and recommended I modify my diet. This helped me a lot. Also ones moods can affect ones drive, depression in itself can kill your sexual drive. If you don't mind me saying you are far from old, in your prime actually-(40's) but the way you talk sometimes one might think you were beyond your senior years, lol. Best of luck and smile, you have a lot going for you;)
  16. I confess that I'd like to ..... Ice4fun, yes I have a dirty mind;) :)
  17. I found your reply interesting , so I hope you won't mind me pointing out a couple of things. Obviously we all see things differently and one of these being a reco. I see a reco as just that, whether it be from a companion or client. You see, companions can be chameleons, conforming to suit the needs of clients, so some openly say, that is. It is in a companions best interest to make a client happy and many can mold and become exactly what the client needs. Many companions also have friends in the business and those they don't care for, so of course they'll promote or reco one of their friends. So even though a companion may be trustworthy, as you say, they are looking out for their friends and keeping you as a client, this is a business after all. They do right by you and you do right by them:) So as much as you may think a companion has her clients best interests at heart, so do some gents that post reco's, they have their companions best interests at heart, they too may have intimacy and know each other and what others might like. My point-I think one is the same and no more valid than the other. A kind of you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. I think recos and reviews can hold the same positives and negatives but as long as business is involved they'll never be completely innocent.
  18. Welcome, enjoy and I hope you find this site, beneficial and fun
  19. I confess that I like reading dirty posts:) and that I'm not as innocent as I might appear, lol, lol!!
  20. We'd love to have you, I for one love pervs:) Sadly the conservatives even with mud on their faces won't admit a mistake.
  21. Sorry your friend had to experience that, but sadly, it happens. Many sites allow negative comments, without knowing their legitimacy and many girls will see clients that have treated others poorly, as long as they treat them well. This gives some up to no good, ammunition. But I think most men can read between lines and realize, in most cases, when someone is being spiteful, especially if they post details.
  22. With heavy heart I grieve today I've learned my friend has passed away... Some have know him better, I just for awhile But everyday I knew him, he always brought a smile I knew him by his given name as he knew me by mine Our talks I'll cherish deeply and remember for all time He held amazing courage not even adversity could break So I hope for him a reward, a place of peace in which he'll awake Where he'll drink whiskey, play golf or with a pretty girl or two... Enjoy it there Tom and now may only happiness find you I'll miss you here however But will remember you in my heart forever
  23. Very sadly reading the shout box, realizing that dear Tom has passed, not sure when it happened. I'll take solace in knowing he's no longer suffering.
  24. Welcome Cheri, I hope you enjoy the site and it brings you much prosperity.
