I'm an occasional hobbiest. I'm based in Cape Breton, but am planning to schedule trips to the HRM area and other places on as regular a basis as I can.

  1. I don't imagine there's much action going on down there after the sweep they did. Announcement was in the paper, including names.
  2. I know there were plenty of scammers on BP and probably more than a little human trafficking, but I know in the Cape Breton area, it was used by some part-time workers that used it to make ends meet when they ran short at the end of the month. It used to be pretty prevalent that ads would show up from the same girls within the last week of the month and then those ads would be gone right after the month started. I feel bad for those girls, because they probably won't know about it until they go to post an ad and then they'll have to scramble to find another site that suits their needs. Hopefully they'll have heard of Lyla.com in time to post something here, but some of them aren't looking to enter the industry full-time. I'd encourage anyone that knows an SP that worked out of Backpage to reach out to them and let them know the situation, if you can reach them. They might be in need of help.
  3. Having recently been priviledged to be able to do a shoot for Ms Manda, I agree with all the good things that have been said. She's a gorgeous woman with a sweet personality to go along with it. I can't say enough good things about her. She has a dazzling smile, beautiful body and a welcoming disposition.
  4. Incall is illegal from my understanding. Canadian law considers that maintaining a permanant residence for the purpose of prostitution. Outcall is perfectly legal. Communicating in public about arranging a meet is not legal (I believe) including talking in a car so streetwalkers are an illegal practice. On the same subject the "car-dates" that sometimes get advertised on BP or CL are illegal for those same reasons and for the public indecency charge that goes along with them. Canadian law is difficult to navigate on this subject because the laws are outdated and filled with grey areas, loopholes and as a result they're a minefield for the unwary. My advice on the whole matter to a new hobbiest would be to stay here and pick from the CERB ladies. The women (and men) here are serious about the business, enjoy what they do, are FAR less likely to have drug, disease or drama complications and will definitely leave you feeling happy, satisfied and fulfilled. Other sources of hobbying might not have quite the track record for positivity that you can find here.
  5. I agree totally, especially about the incall location. I accepted an appointment at an SP's incall location once and I tend to avoid doing that overall. Aside from the problems people have reported, like getting robbed when they show up, it also puts the SP on that legally shaky ground of being accused of opperating a bawdy house. I prefer to host even if I pay a higher premium. It not only protects me, but it protects the SP too and as a responsible hobbiest, I feel it's the least I can do for the ladies I see.
  6. Anyone have any info on the SP that advertises as pregnant on CL?
  7. These kinds of people give the community a bad name and it's truly a shame because only a tiny percentage of people would stoop to exploiting a child like that. In my opinion, it's good news for us that they were caught. Similar to the way our community warns the other members about encounters that were uncomfortable or unsafe, this weeds those undesirables out of the system. This is the kind of event that the media uses to attack the comunity as a whole and we have them to thank for it. I'd suggest we all be cautious about our activities in the near future, asking for established references and only seeing providers who have been around for a while, lest law enforcement decide to expand the scope of their investigation, as they are prone to do when they get publicity for doing something right. Keep your heads straight, take care of each other and we'll all be okay. 99.98217% of us in the community do nothing wrong. It's the other 0.01783% that we have to worry about. (Statistics approximated and may be accurate to +-50%) ;)
  8. While I'm not a pro, I've got several years experience doing shoots for friends that vary from fetish to portrait to nudes. I don't visit Hali often, but I'd be willing to do a shoot for you the next time I'm up. I did a few for Penelope Davis when I had the pleasure of meeting her. As far as payment goes, I'd consider your feedback payment enough. I've been wondering if there was enough interest and business in NS for me to consider turning pro and catering to the ladies on here when they need new shots. I have someone that can touch up shots that need polishing, but that would be something extra since I do need to pay them for their time (Photoshop is one of the grand mysteries of the Universe to me). Alternatively, if you're ever visiting Cape Breton, just shoot me a message and I can be at your disposal to update your portfolio any time. Like I said, I'm interested in finding out how much interest there is and whether it's a viable business to go into right now, so a little time spent at the end of the shoot to review the photos and discuss the results is a golden opportunity to me.
  9. I've had some experience with Foxy's which I think is the same folks. All my experiences were good.
  10. Care to PM about the amateurs you know? I keep hearing rumors about SPs around here that don't advertise and any info you can give would be appreciated.
  11. Hell, if you know someone in the area who's worth discussing, throw the name out on the thread. I'm sure that anyone you know that makes Cape Breton their home base would be thrilled with the referal.
  12. If you're selling prints to artistically appreciative buyers, then you need the rights to the photos which means model releases and generally some form of payment. If they're for your own private use, nothing needs to be signed. Also for the type of subject matter, it would be risky to do so without proof of the model's age on file. Asking SPs to give out that kind of info is something most SPs will (and should) draw the line at. Not accusing you of any wrongdoing or ulterier motives. Just saying that the ladies generally like to keep a strong divide between their work and life and part of that is safeguarding their private identities.
  13. I'm very pleased to see all the positive feedback here on Emily. I spoke out on the other thread about her CL woes and the question about her age and was afraid that might have given her a black eye to the community here. I know that the next time I'm in the city, I'll be looking her up.
  14. She's had an ad on SEA for a while with those exact pics. Maybe that's where you saw them.
