1. Super Excellent - Congratulations ... And I'm looking forward to the next time our paths cross :)
2. farmed animals raised for fur are treated just a poorly as those raised in any other large factory farm ... I think animals for meat should be raised and killed as humanely as possible I cannot get my head around raising animals for fur ... nor indiscriminate killing of wild animals
3. Cristy ... First - on the humourous side ... If you can't take advantage of your friends, who can you take advantage of? But, seriously ... I have some good friends who don't seem to understand the concept of a good thank you, but they have other redeeming qualities, so I put up with their shortcomings, but it does hurt sometimes Thankfully the majority of people aren't like that, and like you, and me, make sure they acknowledge help and advice
4. I am sure you will get some interesting feedback on this The First Nations have strong views ... As do many Newfoundlanders ... Or those from central SW Ontario where Canada's mink industry used to be centred Me - I am with you cristy ... The civilization process should have moved us beyond this discussion And, to my FN friends, I maintain my consistent arguement ... I will support all your traditional rights, if you practice them in the traditional way ... No motor boats or snow machines or rifles or GPS or etc. while hunting or fishing
5. Have a great birthday ... And remember, Age is a very high price to pay for maturity!
6. As the old joke goes - a friend will help you move - a good friend will help you move a body If you are lucky, you will make a handful or two of really good friends over your life time - treasure them I vote for friends over family, if you use the broad definition of family - I'll do anything for my kids - but I have brothers I talk to once a year
7. Just like for any other discretionary spending, you should have a budget you can afford and try to avoid impulse spending I am lucky to be in a very good place financially (look up my comments on the 1%) but all I will say is that in the last 9 months I have spent enough to buy a pretty decent car ... About 60% of that in donations and the rest for entertainment, travel, gifts, etc. I have enjoyed spending every penny ... But with my early retirement plan not that far off into the future, I will, eventually, have to start planning to spend more time reading and watching TV lol
8. my opinion is coloured by the functionality of the product ... some brands are worth the price others are not and I differentiate based on whether it is something that is supposed to last a long time or not cars and other large durable goods ... you definately get a better product if you pay more (though anyone one can make a lemon occasionally) ... I had so many problems with Ford (when that was all I could afford) that I would never willingly buy their product again ... but I absolutely love my current vehicle, an Audi Q5 for some things, like clothes and accessories, you can get very good quality without breaking the bank ... Harry Rosen may look down his nose at the "cambridge club" but I've had very good luck with Cambrige suits and at $700 to $1000 they are real deal compared to HR ... I did buy a $200 belt at HR and really can't tell it from a $50-75 dollar belt from any other menswear store ... every Timex watch I bought lasted less than 6 months and then I paid $200 for a Citizen watch and have been wearing it for over 5 years on the other hand ... jeans and t-shirts that will get worn while I BBQ and therefore have a limited life span based on stainage ... I buy those at Marks I guess I am loyal to a brand as long as they continue to make a good/useful product
9. Further to my comment that 'infinity' gives me a headache ... This is an amazing picture of a small part of our universe http://www.petapixel.com/2012/03/27/55-hour-exposure-of-a-tiny-patch-of-sky-reveals-200000-galaxies/
10. It should have happened a long time ago - when the 1 dollar bill disappeared ... And it will motivate me to finally roll several jars of pennies and turn them in ... Probably for enough to by a modest bottle of wine lol
11. I guess every man has a feminine side ... I hated rope climbing in high school PE - wrapping my legs around the rope and moving them upward never failed to cause an orgasm - and when you are 20 feet off the floor, you have to concentrate very hard on not falling :)
12. http://htwins.net/scale2/scale2.swf?bordercolor=white this makes me go hmmm ... and gives me a headache ... I don't handle infinity well
13. thanks ... I first noticed this yesterday ... interesting, throughout the day, when I was able to connect to wi-fi networks, the results varied ... the sheraton cavalier in calgary wi-fi worked, air canada's datavalet wi-fi did not work
14. finally, for the first time in several weeks, getting on an AC flight that both leaves and arrives on time ... only to have the "gods of wind" bounce the plane all the way from Ottawa to Calgary ... the fasten seat belt sign was on for most of the flight ... and I feel like a James Bond martini - shaken, not stirred lol
15. The Guardian's open journalism project gives us an interesting look at how the 3 liitle pigs story would play out in our modern world http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/arts/the-guardians-open-journalism-project/article2360512/?from=2362095
16. For someone getting close to having 60 years of "experience" I try to take encouragement from the advances in women's rights, respect and position in society in the western world ... While acknowledging that there is still a long path ahead of us Sadly that good feeling vaporizes quickly when I look at the rest of world ... And I get even more discouraged when I see some of those 'rest of world' situations showing up in Canada
17. There was good coverage of this on CBC Newsworld last evening, on Connect with Mark Kelley I was aware of this desperately sad situation If this documentary succeeds in raising awareness and attention, then hopefully this over 20 year old war can be brought to an end I guess this is another example of the western world's lack of attention to any situation that doesn't have the potential to hit us in our wallet It is enough to make you cry :(
18. I think I tilt either way, depending on my partner in the kiss, our position, many things And I agree completely with Penelope (an excellent kisser) ... A kiss is almost always much more than the sum of its parts ... It is the doorway to so many things ... It is fun just to take a minute and think about this
19. Such complicated routines you all have ... 9 of 10 workdays when I am not travelling it is up at 6 am, shower, shave, dress, toast and maybe juice, an apple, out the door before 6:45, in the office by 7:30 ... When the weather gets warm again, I will try to get back to an hour of walking in between the alarm and the shower ... When I am travelling, every day is different ... First coffee is at the office ... And I pee in the shower - it save the water from one flush and is good for the planet :)
20. baking I don't do (well a few cookies, special brownies, and annual fruit cake) ... but if anyone wants to swap real BBQ recipies I'm in (I have a side firebox BBQ at the cottage that often consumes between 4 and 12 hours of my time on a Saturday)
21. Way to go Katherine ... And, sorry I took so long to notice this great news
22. I agree, fully clothed ... unwrapping the package added anticipation ... and while sexy is nice, girl next works just as well for me ... jeans and hiking boots would be fine
23. Congratulations! I've enjoyed reading your posts
24. ... yes, this is the same recommendation as I posted yesterday under Halifax, but since Sara's home base is Ottawa and Penelope travels to Ottawa, and they plan to offer duos in Ottawa ... it seemed to make sense to post this here too so hobbyists just searching Ottawa won't miss out on this treat Every so often, when you are in the right place at the right time and especially lucky, you get to be the first to do something. Two days ago, I was the first to experience a new duo team in Halifax â?¦ Penelope and SaraMQ. WOW â?¦ WOW Iâ??ve written about Sara before and have had a number of opportunities to connect with her since we first met last fall and each time with her has been incredible! I had never met Penelope, so I had my usual nervous anxiety over meeting a new lady. To ease the introduction; we started with dinner in one of Halifaxâ??s great seafood restaurants. It didnâ??t take long to discover that Penelope is a wonderful person and easy to talk to. The three of us were soon laughing and chatting away like old friends. A couple of hours later, with the butterflies banished, we headed back to the hotel and the fun started. Both Penelope and Sara are really, really good at what they do and I was in heaven from the minute we entered the room. And, they are very good together and a great part of my pleasure came from watching them and I quickly lost count as the orgasms multiplied. The time flew by and all too quickly it was my turn to finish. I was totally satisfied and smiling from ear to ear. If you have the opportunity to see these two together (or separately) â?¦ do it! I donâ??t know when I will be back to the east coast, but when I plan my next trip I will definitely be checking Penelopeâ??s schedule. And, from what Sara said, I believe she will be making plans to get back to Halifax again, so I will have my fingers crossed for a total schedule overlap and a duo repeat. Sara and Penelope â?? thank you â?¦ hugs and kisses till next we meet.
