crankF replied to HenryOcean's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This season is sucking for me so far. 24 December was 1st anniversary of my Dad's death which I guess will make for blue Christmases for a few years anyway. :( -

Just remembering 40 years ago this day: 07-04-1978 Sweating profusely @ Rich Stadium(Buffalo) with Triumph, Journey, THE STONES, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and I think, April Wine was there , but not sure. My mind wasn't at 100% that day. My eyes were focused for the longest time on two(or did I have double vision?) nude chicks, wearing naught but white cornstarch on their armpits, dancing on dude's shoulders. Fueled by purple microdot, and gallon jugs of warm gin+tonic, slung over shoulders with rope, a memorable time was had. All others with me are now deceased. All the clean living must've kept me above ground!! lol :) Oh BTW, I was only ten years old ;).

All the Money in the World (2017) 100% recommend see this one- Hate to think that I'm old enough to remember when the events in this flick went down. All I knew from that time was that J. Paul Getty's (then world's richest man) grandson was kidnaped in Italy and his ear cut off. The behind the scenes story is fascinating, and suspenseful. Lots of great vintage 60's n early 70's Fiats and other euro vehicles. Also includes a nice dose of blood and guts. :)

IMHO, the reviews were a bit too gushing, but it is one of the best war films seen in my long life. :) Plus, Ken Branagh, Mark Rylance, are great thespians, and I always like Tom Hardy in action flicks.

Glad to say I'm not allergic, although my mom was. My "AfterBite" thingy was dried up, so hobbled into the grocery for some ammonia to dab onto the bite!
