Yesterday drove an hour to a 10:30 dr. appointment and arrived early. Receptionist said they were running 2 hours behind, I then waited almost 4 hours before finally being seen for 5 minutes by the doc. I let him know that I was super pissed and he was apologetic. He left, then came back with a peace offering, free samples of Cialis and Viagra. lol

Today is my dad's 92nd birthday. Somehow, he recently passed the eye test for driver license renewel. He still transports himself during daylight hours, does his own shopping and mows his lawn. Still a sportsman, i put the boat in and out for him so he can fish a little bit, and he still likes to sit on his treestand although these days he usually sleeps. He has survived WWII, heart attacks, glaucoma, 15 or more surgeries, the death of my sister at age 4, and the death of his 60 year soul-mate. The only extracurricular diddling he ever did was overseas during the war.( I believe him). He made a pile of money, but earned every cent working 6 days a week until age 72. Former employees from years ago still approach him and speak to him as if he were their own dad. If anyone has deserved a long, peaceful retirement, it is he. There are still some other similar old gents around, but not many left. I think that mold is broken. I'm blessed to still have him around

I only watch a few reality shows but two that I really like are Hoarders Call of the Wildman Tonight on Hoarders a woman was living in a garbage filled hovel which included 100's of plastic jugs filled with pee and poop. She and her mother had started saving their bodily waste rather than get the toilet repaired. The house was crawling with rodents and bugs, and she was eating shit. Yummy Additional Comments: Just noticed I've listed Call of the Wildman two different times. I must really like that show, or else I'm senile. -

Hooray for Cristy , someone besides me admits farts are fun. I admittedly am way to juvenile for someone having lived through five decades, but if a fart is coming on in a store, I don't supress it , I embrace it. I look sureptitiously both ways to make sure the aisle is clear, let fly the fart and split. A minute later, I walk back down the aisle to see if anyone is standing there with a look on their face. I am also a grandmaster of Silent But Deadly, the art of the noiseless flatulence. bahaha -
Best wishes & good luck

Seriously, it's better to get them all taken care of now. I had them all out at about your age- easy peasy, plus the gas and valiums were a hoot lol. My aunt and uncle both had it done in their 70's and had bad , painful experiences.

Call of the Wildman -
I have some pretty crappy days, but sunday was a good day to be me. At crack of dawn, headed up through the Adirondack Park and as the elevation got higher, the sun got brighter. Brunch, glass of champagne, a stroll, and people watching in Lake Placid. Back down the pike to my cousin's camp on Saranac Lake for the final, brisk ride of the season on the party barge. Cruising on a mountain lake surrounded by flaming Fall foliage, enjoying some tasty craft brewed IPA's. Back to camp for fish fry and bbq, followed by homemade cheesecake 3 flavors, and Coyote Moon Cherry Bomb wine on the deck. Saw one cousin from Texas who's been gone 10 years, and met his awsome little kids, and saw another one home from Afghanistan. Headed home, stopped at a farmstand and bought 4 varieties of fresh apples. The only bummer, I wish my back wasn't so fu----ed, so I could've done the journey on the Harley. A great day.
