  1. I'm going to assume that things like 'vision' and 'the ability to walk' are just taken for granted here, unless all of you really do value your mobile phones more than those things. Here are things I would rather not disappear: -Swedish culture (ABBA, half my furniture, Dolph Lundgren, etc, I swear everything those people do is magic) -my swimming pool (I use that thing like 3 times a week) -chocolate (I'm a Lindt man counting down to the post-Christmas sales) -beer (not American beer, the world would be better off without American beer) -my George Foreman grill (these should just come standard in houses)
  2. I take the convinience of the location into mind when selecting an SP, but not when writing the reco. I live downtown, so if a lady is within walking distance of my place, that`s ideal. But if I pick a lady outside of the centre, that`s my choice because I really want to meet her and it would be silly to count that as a negative in a reco. All I expect is the same as LeeRichards: that the place be clean, tidy, and comfortable. If an SP goes any extra distance to create a nice mood such as lighting, music, etc I would definately note that in a reco, but I don't expect it.

  4. that was an interesting listen. it was nice to hear the experts are unable to define this addiction, because all this time i thought i was just missing something. i will admit that i still don't really understand this addiction, or at least i still cannot really distinguish this "disease" versus people who are just horny or make bad choices etc.
  5. a blog is like a public diary or amateur newspaper column, right? i will definately say that getting an idea of an SP's personality helps me get interested in meeting her, so it can't hurt. at the same time, a lot of this social networking stuff is kinda lost on me. i'm not that old, but i just never got into this facebook/twitter etc stuff. but most people seem to love it. sometimes i am walking around and i feel like the only person not squinting into a little screen.
  6. That's why Thanksgiving is the best holiday. No gifts, no costumes, just eating and drinking.
  7. This hobby has not got in the way of my dating. All this hobby has done is provide a nice comforting experience for me when I am not in a serious relationship.
  8. I have never had cable because I just don't like television. I never watched tv, not even as a kid. I don't have a landline, just a mobile. That's enough. But I do need internet at home. I work from home a lot.
  9. There are roller discos in Ottawa? Where? I love rollerboogie!
  10. You could take this guy's logic and use it undo every invention and every act of progress mankind has made since the dawn of time. Would this Whittle guy have told Martin Luther King to stop pressing for equal racial rights because he should be simply happy with not being a slave owned as a piece of property? Probably.
  11. There are a couple teams here in the Ottawa area. The Riot Squad and The Slaughter Daughters. They play against each other and other teams in the region, including Montreal. They don't have a permanent facility yet, so it;s played on a flat track instead of the curved track. They all have funny names and they play fun music. It's a pretty fun time. I go whenever I can.
  12. I can draw. I am good at math. I am pretty good at learning languages (I speak four). That's it.
  13. I agree with most of your rant. I think most of these protestors are hoping to appeal to politicians more than businessmen. You're correct that the government agrees to these bailouts and so they are the ones responsible for that action and not the businesses that ask for the money. And I agree that we should focus most of our social pressure on the government to not bailout companies and moneylenders. However, there's also nothing wrong with shaming people who exploit a system. And surely you must have some sense of right and wrong beyond the idea that if you get away with something, that makes it the right thing to do. I think responsibility goes both ways. When people accept loans, they should be responsible and realistic about their ability to pay it back. A lot of people were not realistic about this when they agreed to huge loans. But I also think predatory lending is wrong and has gone too far. The rules of lending and credit obviously need to be more restrictive. So in conclusion: we're all in this together, the politicians, the business world, regular citizens and activists.
  14. I try to be understanding. I know mistakes happen and PMs and texts get deleted by accident or in a moment of absentmindedness an SP might think she did reply to me when she didn't. So if I get no response the first time, I'll usually try at least once more, but then if I get no reply, I assume she doesn't want my business for whatever reason. I do really appreciate a reply of any kind. Even if it's late. Like if I was trying to book an SP for the weekend and she got back to me next week and said she was sorry. Or if she's really busy and not taking on new clients at the moment, I would appreciate her writing me back to say so. I will say that I like a bit of personal connection with an SP, so I prefer PMing or telephone calling over texting.
  15. The question is whether they really did earn all that money. CEOs and boards of directors usually set their own salaries and award themselves bonuses. If a CEO puts in policies that increase profits by $100 million dollars, he can justifiably pay himself $50 million dollars and claim he's worth it. But if his company loses money, is he really worth that much? And that was a big problem with the bailouts. Companies and moneylenders were going bankrupt, but the CEOs still felt they were worth millions of dollars. The captains were not going down with their ships. These companies would come to the government and ask for money, which comes from taxpayers, and use it to reward themselves for screwing up their companies. If a political leader decided to raise taxes to give himself a $100 million dollar bonus, we would call him corrupt and throw him out of office, but what's the difference between that versus a CEO from a bank wanting $100 million dollars for his mansion and getting the taxpayers to buy it for him in the form a bailout which he then pockets as a bonus or a severance package? The buck does have to stop somewhere and it's the government's job to act in the interests of the population at large.
  16. Yeah, from one scorpio to another, happy birthday.
  17. As a hobbyist, I do value the recos and consult them in deciding whether or not to see a lady. So far, I have had only good experiences and would've written recos for all the SPs I've seen, but one SP quit this line of work before I got around to writing her a reco. I'm pretty easy to please, so an SP would really have to be awful or rude or have a gross dirty incall location for me to not write her a reco. I'm happy to write them because I want these women to do well and stay in business. If I see an SP multiple times, I won't write a reco each time I see her. That just feels like overkill to me. I think SPs need to accept that lots of guys just aren't good with words. So don't take it personally that guys don't write them. They probably just aren't sure what to say. Writing a tasteful but helpful reco is a difficult line to walk.
  18. I guess I'll chime in and play amateur psychologist too. I feel like this struggle Castle is facing with his avatar is actually a struggle with how he relates to the hobby in general. I think Castle's desire to place an avatar that would identify himself is Castle trying to out himself. Subconsciously, he might hope one of his friends would be on here recognize him. He probably resents the secrecy with which he practices this hobby and would just like to be more open about it. The logical part of his brain tells him there's no reason to be ashamed about doing this but the emotional part gives him doubts and makes him want to keep it private. He would probably just like to be open about it and have his friends know he does it and accept him for doing it, but his hesitation represents his fears of their judgement.
  19. I'm really surprised Afrikaans accent showed up on there, it's so harsh. And I guess this thread also goes against that thread about how men prefer Asian SPs because there were no Asian accents on that list.
  20. I had Saddie over the other night and I am very glad I did. It is best to try and reach her through texting, she was quick to respond and we quickly set up a meeting. She came by later in the evening and she looked great and still had lots of energy. She has a stunning figure, is polite, sweet, and easy to get along with. Once we got business out of the way, I found we had a good chemistry. She is a skilled woman who knew how to give me what I wanted. She was affecionate and saw to all my needs. I find myself still thinking about that pierced tongue, which was a real treat. Saddie was gracious in responding to all my requests and I felt comfortable with her the entire time.
  21. I saw INSIDE JOB and it is an excellent documentary that explains the recent economic crisis in a way that I think most viewers can understand. It explains some pretty big problems, mainly in USA, where moneylenders are working against their own clients, which is unethical and as we've recently seen, highly destructive.
  22. Julie Newmar, no question. Pam Grier or Christina Lindberg
  23. Mr. Green is right, giant corporations and moneylenders/creditors have power because we give it to them by consuming their goods/services and by working for them. I think lots of problems can be fixed or averted through government laws/regulations. But we need to elect leaders who will implement these laws and regulations. These protests don't really have much weight because they quickly become such a mixed bag of random causes or lack thereof. The informed people in these protests need to get in the system. They need to run for office. Simply acting like hobos isn't going to change anything, it just makes them even easier to discredit and ignore.
  24. This article is just somebody saying what music they hate. All those artists are huge stars and sell out stadiums, so somebody likes them. So if two people who like those artists are on a date together they'll probably bond over that. I will agree with the article saying that most women will find it a turn off if a dude likes pop music like Katy Perry. I mostly listen to dance pop music and people seem to think that when I say that, I am telling them that I am gay.
