Linguistic skill or dexterity of the feet? I believe that's the question. For me I prefer to showcase my skills as an orator, as my feet are not dexterous at all.

I have gone through a few name changes. Aside from Lindsay which was given to me by an agency, I tend to go with whatever name strikes my fancy. Though I admittedly can be a bit flippant about names which is why I wind up changing them every couple years. But thanks to the input of some of the wonderful ladies on here, I have found my forever moniker: Kate von Katz. I love it. It has a feminine but strong sound. Classy, sassy, it's a sort of sugar and spice name - at least to me. And I love it.

Feminism is not misandry. The two words have no similar meaning, aside from the fact that many people who are opposed to feminism have decided to try to make those two words synonymous. They're not. Raidcals and extremists exist everywhere with everything. They do not represent the majority and feminism is no exception. I am a feminist and it's been fodder for the a-holes on the BC board to find more reasons to hate me. I actually had someone write me an e-mail comparing me to Hitler. All because I believe women are equal and men aren't a bunch of children who don't know any better than their shitty behavior and are fully capable of being held accountable for their (in)actions rather than coddled and babied. How dare I presume that men are intelligent, capable beings and that women are, too. God, yeah, just call me Irma Greee... *rolls eyes* Anyhow, feminism is not about hating men. That's misandry. Totally different.

I decided educating gentlemen is a better option than not. So my first two blog entries are to address the new laws. By educating clients, you are helping to teach them that these new laws are not the end of the world, they just mark a change in the way we conduct our business. Thar be my two cents...

I actually make sure to have lots of tampons and pads in the little cabinet behind the mirror just to mess with anyone who snoops after they close the door!! You wanna peek behind the curtain: here's reality! I should not leave my toothbrush in there, now that I think of it. You just never know what some sicko might do....

I've heard about Ello, but I'm not a big fan of social media, myself. If it proves to be a better alternative to FB and doesn't go south like G+ did after a while, then I may give it a go.

Ha ha ha... I don't take myself too seriously. :D Vamp is good! Reminds me of Morticia Addams and the old goth queens. Muse is another good one to use. A gentleman's muse... has an elegant ring to it. Really, more than ever using a thesaurus is handy and almost a requirement with the linguistic tricks we have to pull to convey the gist of what we're about these days.

Putting the final tweaks on my new website and simultaneously watching Twin Peaks (you know, I've never seen it and it's pretty good!). Also in the back of my mind, I am still pondering whether to wallpaper or paint my boudoir... First world problems.

I personally don't do texts, as I have found far too many people who text have poor manners, aren't worth your time to respond or are just wanting to have a text marathon instead of booking an appointment. You have to do what works for you. Trust me when I say that it's less important what the clients demand (sorry guys) and more important to do what allows you to be most relaxed and stress free. Email is a great alternative and is just as easy as sending a text. You could also be sure to write something in your ad that states etiquette for how to text you. Simple stuff like "one word texts are not replied to" "no marathon texting" "please introduce yourself and include when you wanted to visit when you text me". That way if people text and don't follow the basic parameters you have stated you can ignore them guilt free! But personally, I say forget texts! Email and a phone call are perfectly acceptable and give a much better impression of what kind of guy you may be spending time with than a text.

Right now I've got one of my favorite playlists on. It's a mix of industrial music, synthpop, EBM, and a splash of metal. Some of the bands are: Defence Mechanism (small Toronto one-man project) Glass Apple Bonzai (same guy as above, but this is his synthpop project) Mesh IAMX Carved Souls (great synthpop group out of LA, hilarious group of guys) And of course, hundreds of other bands/artists that I'm not going to spam you with :D

I always have mouthwash and Dixie cups, but I like the idea of mints and/or Listerine thingies. Towels I have started to leave only one in there as it seems many gents just can't resist using them all.... Spray deodorant I am putting on my list of things to pick up next time I'm doing a shop, great idea! And I always have unscented liquid soap: The Soap Works vegetable glycerine soap. It's inexpensive, scentless and my skin loves it!

A bag of Cheetos and chocolate pudding. What can I say? I needed a binge day :D I regret nothing!!

Decided to add a blog to my new website and since it's not officially launched until Dec 1st, I only have three blog entries written: a welcome, an entry that gives a very, very basic rundown of the new laws, and an entry that is very, very detailed about what sort of things make a good client. Once the site is launched, I'll update probably weekly with random stuff: neat things I found on the internet, great books I have read, anecdotes and other things on a lighter note. Oh yes, you are *far* from alone. People flag ads on CL almost as if it's a hobby or something. Ads get flagged for no discernible reason all the time. Don't let it bother you. It happens to everyone.

They say directly that two consenting adults are not on their radar. Victoria is approaching it very much the same. I suspect that many PDs around Canada have similar views but are not as outspoken.

Ya know... I actually like this idea best of all! And yes, I think RG has a good point about the gifts being for friends, not first-timers. First-timers get a bit of a discount, friends get a bit of a discount and a bit of extra time. Thanks everyone! :) And I'd say I miss Ottawa, but at this time of year: no way, Jose!! :D But I do miss some of you Ontario people.
