Yep, the C-word. We hear it all the time; that it's a cure-all for interpersonal issues. As an SP, I communicate as clearly as possible in my ads, website and interactions so there is no misinformation and are no misunderstandings. My responsibility is to communicate, either written or verbal, effectively, clearly, and honestly. That's on me. Reading things thoroughly, and asking for clarification before making an assumption.... that's on you. Caveat emptor, buyer beware. Being aware means being informed. It takes time to inform yourself, and effort. Yes, a lot of the time seeing an SP is more-or-less on impulse. But that doesn't mean you can't take the time to familiarize yourself with that lady. Her services, her booking protocols, anything else you need to know to be an informed client. These things shouldn't need to be said, but they are said - often. The reality is there are enough guys out there who skim over important bits of information, or worse yet, think they are an exception and a lady will bend her rules for him. And rather than taking responsibility for their error (afterall, it is your responsibility as a client to be familiar with what the rules are), they transfer it onto the lady. She's bitchy. She's being unfair. How dare she stick to the rules and restrictions which she has already clearly outlined, can't she see I'm special? This kind of nonsense happens a lot, and the sad truth is that while there are times when a lady is genuinely at fault, there are also times when bitter men who feel slighted are not completely forthcoming with their contribution to events. It is this reason why I don't bother with the other place. It's far too misogynistic and I don't feel that women are being properly respected there. We have our responsibilities, both SPs and clients. I am not responsible for making sure your phone has minutes, providing transportation to my incall, or providing services that I do not offer just for you. You are not responsible for supplying my lingerie or condoms, making sure my phone has minutes, or my right to choose what I do with my body. Information is key. Communication is how that information is given. If you're not sure, ask. Don't make assumptions or fail to plan and then wonder why a lady is less-than-impressed with you. CK is the one who notified me this morning. I'm currently asking his permission to link ti his blog in an ad I intend to put on BP mentioning the misappropriation of photos and bait&switches. Sort of a "hey, we know it's going on, now you can know in advance and save yourself the time/money". Besides, his blog should be more advertised, I think! An agency here in Ottawa has been caught yet again using old images of me on an online ad. I contacted the site and they told me I must prove they are me and show originals, which I do not have. I don't keep old images. But it's very obviously me, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. So the online classified site is refusing to remove the images, and I have not been able to reach this agency. What's a pissed off girl to do? I'm practically retiring in two days and I sure as hell will not stand for some no-class agency trying to use my likeness as a bait&switch! Help!! Posted via Mobile Device

Someone was asking for more specific info here's the timeline: Get a text at 1:53 saying he saw my website and wants to see me that afternoon. Okay, so if he's seen my website, he had the opportunity to read my etiquette. We booked for 2:45PM. I asked hiim to call to confirm at 2:30, and to be at Bank & Walkley. (Which for those who have seen me know is less than 5 minutes away). Confirmation call was punctual, he said he was at Bank & Heron. I asked if he had a pen & paper or a GPS. He said GPS. I gave him my address and directions. And offered to text the address to him so he could program his GPS. So after getting off the phone, I immediately texted my address. This was 2:33PM. He texted me at 2:42PM saying he's on the way, and also he prefers jeans and a t-shirt, not lingerie. 2:45 rolls around and nothing. 2:50 and still nothing. So I texted him to inform him the appointment is cancelled. If he really was at Bank & Heron when he called to confirm, he should have been on time. Furthermore, it states on my website that requests for attire should be made at the time of booking (not 3 minutes before the appointment). I face the front of my building and I saw no cars driving around looking for parking. He had absolutely no excuse for being tardy, IF he was being honest about being less than 10 minutes away when he confirmed 15 minutes before our appointment. (Yes, maybe my 5 minute rule is too severe, and I'm going to change it to 10 minutes. If after 10 minutes, you don't call to let me know you're running late, no appointment.) Does the animal comanion (or companions) in your life do amazingly cute stuff? Or really annoying stuff that you can't help but to chuckle at? Or just plain amazing tricks? One of my kitties has recently developed the habit of leaping from the floor onto my shoulders, where he sits purring like a fiend. Sadly, he chooses to do this only when I am in the kitchen. It's a wonder I haven't nicked myself with a knife or burnt myself on the stove! My roomies dog at home has this strange mooching technique: belly-crawls towards your chair, hoping you don't notice. If you make eye contact, she starts all over. If you don't make eye contact, she slinks up and rests her head in your lap. If you ignore her, she'll eventually rest her chin on the table beside your plate and lick her chops. It's hard not to give her table scraps when she's being so cute! Guys, guys, guys.... You've heard it all before. Please, if you tell a lady you are close-by when you confirm, be honest! If you say you have a GPS, then use it. I don't understand the need to tell little fibs like that. I am expecting you at a certain time, and I ask that a phone call be made when you are running late. (In fact, there's a little blurb about punctuality protocol on my website). Do: be honest with me. If you're not in the area, tell me and let me know you may be late. I'm on a public computer (internet cafe) downtown, and I am having a heck of time accessing Cerb properly. It wouldn't let me login, then I had to reset my password, and now whenever I try to access my PMs (to ask Mod if he knows what's going on) I get booted. I'm thinking maybe this IP address has been flagged? Anyone have any ideas?

I tell people I've been travelling around Canada and working under-the-table jobs like fruit picking in BC orchards, or working at hostels in exchange for room and board. Though I actually have done these things, and really have backpacked around the country, so I can back it up if they start asking questions. Just say you were self-employed, and leave it at that. And of course, going to school for something always helps! (I don't know what your secondary education is, but even a quick six month certificate in something helps.) Posted via Mobile Device
