I love Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged! HHGTTG is already a much-loved part of my library! Have you seen the old BBC series? It's old, so the SFX are not very good, but it's way better than the movie. The trekkie book is definitely being added to my reading list! Posted via Mobile Device -

OMG!!!! *nerdgasm* I heard a rumor of that, too, but it seemed a bit iffy. Posted via Mobile Device -
I've been on a bender of silly literature lately. Chistopher Moore is a new favorite (thank you lowdark for introducing me to his work!). I also discovered a series by Quirk Classics which includes: Sense And Sensibility And Sea Monsters, Pride Prejudice And Zombies, and apparently a book about Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I'm thirsty for more, so please, share some of your favorite irreverantly silly books! Posted via Mobile Device

Perhaps sticking to threads of a more light-hearted nature would alleviate you of the stress of dealing with opinions which differ from your own. Ultimately, you are in control of yourself. The things you say, and do not say; the things you do and do not do; how you choose to percieve things, and how you choose to feel about those perceptions. I am sorry you seem to be so ruffled, however, no one is forcing you to participate in something which causes you so much distress. Posted via Mobile Device -

Hun, you take some of these differences of opinion a little too personally. No one is telling you how to run your business. We are exchanging thoughts, experiences and perspectives. Lima, Peru. Always wanted to go there. Posted via Mobile Device

Marcus Aurelius. He was a Stoic (think western Buddhism), so on that alone I'd love to pick his brain. He was also an accomplished writer and leader. Posted via Mobile Device

Gee.... I wonder who Cato's new favorite lady is??? :P Posted via Mobile Device

I find it offputting in the respect that you come across as puritanical. Posted via Mobile Device -

I agree with Emily. Your comments are quite judgmental and rather offputting. Posted via Mobile Device -
What is one's definition of "education"? There is formal education and informal. Much can be learned without a college or university to teach it to you. At the very real risk of sounding terribly cheesy: education is completely in your grasp. The library is free, and packed with knowledge. One need not spend small fortunes on formal education to broaden their scope of the world. It comes down to motivation and discipline. If you want to learn more about something, you will. I have never held formal education in higher regard than informal education. And never will. As long as you can carry on an informed, rational and logical conversation, I don't care how you came about your knowledge. Though some are bound to obtain that little piece of paper avowing that you know something. More and more careers require at least a Ba/BSc. Posted via Mobile Device

Personal Relationships and Services

As counter-intuitive as it sounds, I find, looking back, that my service is at its best when I have a relationship. I think this has more to do with an increase of patience for undesirable behavior, since my actual physical services are always the same. I find when I have a partner in my private life, I am less likely to let a rude comment or tardiness ruin the session. (That being said, I encourage neither!) Posted via Mobile Device -

Welcome to the board where maturity and civility prevail! Refreshing change, isn't it? Posted via Mobile Device -
No, I don't use tapatalk. WIT's suggestion was bang-on. Out of the plethora of books I read, I should probably add a few on computers to the list.... Posted via Mobile Device

Nope. Is it really that simple? Good thing I'm going blonde! It'll suit me :D Posted via Mobile Device

My first time was awful. I was with an agency back in BC, and of course with an agency, you don't have nearly as much control over your clients as being indy. He smelled awful, was rough, and hovered less than 3 inches from my face the whole time. Basically he embodied all the worst things a client could do. After becoming an indy, I made damn sure to make no bones about my expectations as far as cleanliness and behavior. I also had similar issues when I moved here and worked for agencies. It's my body, and I will be damned if I give any old Joe admittance! I love being indy because I have the final say in whose company I wish to share. Thankfully it's rare I have to restrict or refuse service based on bad attitude or poor hygiene. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I don't settle for mediocrity. Which means, unfortunately, I do a fair bit of weeding out. But ultimately this is to everyone's benefit, since we've all had lackluster encounters, and they're no fun. Posted via Mobile Device

I believe that if someone is using Cerb to advertise a service, the rules should be across the board. (Pardon the pun.) irrespective of the service itself, advertising should be limited to posts in the appropriate forums and the use of banner ads. I don't think an advertiser - whether a lady or someone offering to be a driver/security/whatever - should have two sets of rules. It doesn't make sense. If you are advertising, do it appropriately according to the rules. Posted via Mobile Device

Hey everybody! (Hi Doctor Nick!) I use my mobile for my Cerb activities, and when I put my web address in my ad, it is not... what's the word? Hyperlinked? So it's just the same as all the other text in my ad and clicking on it accomplishes nothing. My question is: is there some sort of code or something that I need to type in before/after the actual URL to enable it as a link? Mobile surfing is a lot better than it used to be, but not being able to link to my website has been frustrating! Mucho grassy ass for the help ;) Posted via Mobile Device
