  1. Respectable and professional ladies do not call gentlemen and solicit them. Of course if you know each other well, and you have the kind of relationship where calling each other as friends was discussed and mutually agreed upon, then there's obviously an exception. I'm both shocked and sympathetic for you over this. Not a good move on her part.
  2. Personally, I'm not offended so much as just annoyed. You don't haggle with your doctor or your pharmacist or any other professional. We're not girls lined up in a market place to be negotiated for. When people message me with anything that tips me off to the fact that I would not enjoy my time with them, I simply don't reply. They get the hint and so far none have messaged me twice. The rates we charge are reasonable and if they think it's too expensive, then it shows that they are more concerned with price than they are about quality and class. And I fully agree that if they want a low price, they are welcome to see the uh... less professional ladies. Their loss, but we don't need guys like that anyways! There's plenty of proper gentlemen to share quality, frisky time with.
  3. Sounds like an interesting read! Have you tried local used book stores or Amazon.com?
  4. I heard a whisper about this last year, and I'm thrilled it is up and running. DAWG FM 101.9 is an all blues radio station right here in Ottawa. And all I have to say is it's about time! Apparently the one and only Elwood Blues hosts a regular show on the station. Can we say awesome! Figured I'd share this for all you blues fans out there!
  5. Right now I'm slowly digesting Homer's The Iliad. And in between reading bits of that, I'm reading a biography on Beethoven. And of course - my favorite - the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Posted via Mobile Device
  6. For myself I have no real preference for chest hair or not. That being said, if you do have longer hairs around the nipple (which is quite common) if you enjoy being bitten and nibbled it would be a courtesy to trim/shave them regularly.
  7. Never heard them, but I'll youtube it now  Not bad. I think I have heard of them before! A bit too girly for my everyday listening tastes, but I think I found a new favorite girly music band!
  8. Hey, I found some cool new music thanks to all these links! And I just have to shill my favorite chill band - Amethystium. They're not well known, but if you like Enigma, you'll enjoy this. And Dead Can Dance. Don't be put off by the name! It's chilled out with a hint of middle eastern style vocals. My ultimate hippy music :-) And how could I have almost forgotten Deep Forest? They take samples of cultural and tribal music and remix them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqoGElJmvjE&feature=related
  9. You know I could make a comment about free rides.... I figured it's probably easier to just have a group, so here it is! And I've got the first proposed meeting set up! See y'all there! http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/group.php?groupid=40&gmid=2260#gmessage2260
  10. Yes I was thinking downtown is best. I'll keep you all abreast (ba dum dum chhh) of when the first get-together will be. Posted via Mobile Device
  11. Reading the post about the film shedding light on the industry in Victoria, BC has made me nostalgic for the beautiful west coast. And it got me thinking about something that used to happen in Vancouver (and may still be happening). It was basically a let's all go for a beer. Ladies and gentlemen were welcome, and you didn't have to use any name other than your screen name, and we all just met up and went to a strip club or to a pub. So I wonder, what would the reception of this be in Ottawa? How many of you would come out for a beer or martini if I organized it? Suggestions? Reservations?
  12. My personal fail-proof ultimate chill music is Amethystium or Dead Can Dance. It also makes good background music
  13. Whores: Women Who Have Outstanding Resourcefulness in Eroticism and Sensuality. I should get a job making up acronyms... lol.
  14. A lot of people - surprisingly - don't know about the international Doors Open Day. Loads of countries (and their major cities) participate. And it is exactly what it sounds like. This year's list of participating venues range from a masonic lodge and a mosque to the embassies of Croatia, Hungary and France, respectively. Museums and the supreme court, historical houses and private clubs. Check it out: http://www.ottawa.ca/residents/heritage/doorsopen/index_en.html It's a great way to explore the city, and to explore other cultures. Be sure to read the rules on photographs and backpacks for some venues. And look it up in your own city as well for those not in Ottawa. Technically when you enter an embassy you are, for all intents and purposes, in that country. When else will you get to hop around the globe without leaving home?
  15. This is my largest issue with feminists and women's rights groups. They're a little too extreme about things. It started as a great idea, but now they've just gone overboard and lost their sense of humor. You don't see men's groups running around complaining about how we cat call male strippers, immerse ourselves in phallic memorabilia for our stagette parties, and then screw them over in divorce court, do you? No, didn't think so. Let the urinal stay!!
  16. Glad to hear you enjoyed your time in Ottawa. Minus the nasty chest cold :-(
  17. Victoria is my hometown, and where I worked (with the occasional working visit to VanCity) until I came to Ottawa. The mentality in BC is extremely different than it is here, especially in Victoria. All the agencies are licensed, and each individual girl is licensed. There is no harassment or malice from law enforcement, and you never, ever have to worry about calling them for a bad date. Society seems to have made less of an issue about the industry, making it easier to work and to access vital medical and legal care when needed. The idea of a co-op is not unlike a union in the respect that everyone gets taken care of. And I'm all for it, personally. I've always chided the government for failing to recognize that this profession will not disappear because they made a law about it. And if it was legalized and all the girls had a license and had their own medical testing clinics (or at least a few doctors here and there) and there were police who solely dealt with reports of bad dates (assault, non-consensual sex [rape], robbery, etc) everything would be so much better. The girls would have no excuse for not getting tested, which will cut down on the spread of STD's and STIs - curable and not. It will also allow for a greater sense of community within the community. These review boards are great, don't get me wrong, but they are no substitution for a strong, visceral social network. I wonder how many people I will recognize on this program? I'll download it after it airs for sure! Additional Comments: Victoria is my hometown, and where I worked (with the occasional working visit to VanCity) until I came to Ottawa. 18. I side with Carrie on this one. I don't believe a word - or an acronym - is inherently bad. How it's used makes the difference. There are countless examples of good words being misused to convey a more derogatory or disdainful attitude.
  19. Speaking solely of sports, there is nothing equal to the excitement of the world cup. There are plenty of other hair raising, pulse racing activities.... Stanley Cup - less than 10 million watchers. Super Bowl - around 50 million watchers. World Cup Soccer - over 1 Billion. It ain't called the world's game for nuthin'!
  20. There is nothing equal to the excitement of the world cup. Not the Stanley Cup, not the Superbowl. Depending on when in July you're going the cup may be won and the major festivities over. Either way, have a blast and if you see Totti, kick him in the nards for me! :-) Posted via Mobile Device
  21. Ghana impressed the hell out of me last time in Germany. They impressed a lot of people. I would love to see them go far!
  22. I think the Chelsea Dagger song they play is the best in the league for goal-scoring song choice. Sadly I missed the game last night, but they won!! It's such an exciting playoffs with two teams so deprived of the cup. I'm rooting for Chicago, though. Nothing against Philly, but I want Chicago to take it home.
  23. Cup size... LOL. I knew I liked soccer for a reason! England? Really? REALLY? Well, I'd rather them than Italy *running away now before I get lynched*
