For anyone who may be fed up with the feds, there's a petition to have the UN monitor our next election to make sure no more fraud occurs. https://secure.avaaz.org/en/petition/United_Nations_Department_of_Political_Affairs_Request_for_Assistance_Request_UN_election_monitorsobservers_for_Canadas_/?copy

I just figured maybe aquariums were looking to add new attractions since the backlash from Blackfish has everyone demanding they free orca from captivity. You know... like a Tijuana donkey show, but aquatic :P

Welcome to Lyla! It's a friendly place and there's a heap of information and fun threads. You'll feel quite at home here, I'm sure! :) -
You can get English translated manga if you're not into learning the hiragana and katakana. AoT is a popular anime, for good reason. They're not all created equal and every now and then you find one that is just amazing. I haven't watched AoT yet as I have so many other anime I am catching up on or just starting to watch. But I don't mind being behind since I won't have to wait a week between episodes that way :D

I'm bumping this up 'cause there's some awesome stuff going on in the anime world!! Firstly, has anyone else been enjoying the new Sailor Moon Crystal series? It's awesome!! Similar to the original, but better, I think. Also: they have announced a new Dragon Ball series to start in July. I am beyond excited for this!! Goku and the gang are back :D :D My fave series from this past winter season: Death Parade Assassination Classroom Akatsuki no Yona Durarara!! X2 New series for the spring season I am enjoying so far: Re-Kan! Owari no Seraph It's a good time to be an otaku! Also, if you're curious, you can look up what's airing here: https://www.livechart.me/spring-2015/tv As for downloading, kickass torrents is my recommendation. :D

Same here with the "claim your profile" nonsense. I had no trouble getting through when I clicked the "contact us" tab at the bottom of their website, I got through just fine. Gave them a friendly reminder of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and my photos were removed a couple days later. They've been trolling BP for pics and I have warned many ladies out here in BC to be aware they may be on there. Some don't mind, some do. Never occurred to me to share it on Cerb :( Sorry! You should be able to reach them through their host, as Emily suggested. And not sure if you have any sort of watermark or copyright on your pictures, but if you don't you may want to. Makes things easier when the images in question clearly have a copyright on them :)

Single. I know I'll treat myself right. I know I will be able to rely on myself. Also I just don't get the idea of living with someone, sharing the same bed and all that. I like having my own place. I like being able to sprawl out on the bed ... well, when the cats don't beat me to it! I am not driven by the need to be close to people. I keep very few friends (three actually), do not bother with acquaintances beyond pleasantries, make little effort to maintain a social life, and am perfectly happy going for days without speaking to or seeing another human being. So for me, being single works out great since I genuinely love to be alone anyhow. Now I'm not a weird shut in or anything. I do enjoy being around people, I just don't enjoy having to interact with them constantly. It's draining. So when I'm out volunteering or taking classes or doing whatever else I do in my life, I am usually quiet and keep to myself with occasional bursts of socialization. Being in a relationship requires a lot of socializing. Not just with your partner but with their friends and family. It's just too much for me. And I don't feel the need or desire to have anyone in my life, so for now I am completely and utterly content, happy and satisfied being single. Seeing clients for an hour or two here and there is perfect for me. Bit of socializing, bit of hanky-panky and that's all she wrote. I love it and it doesn't leave me drained - well, it leaves me drained in the right ways! But I'm a rare example who is off on one end to the extreme.

Divulging your name

Oh Berlin, this is why I admire you so much! Callin' it as it is. I'm 100% with Berlin on this. Sorry guys, but she's bang-on: you just aren't important enough to be a target for any extortion or hacking. We don't give a crap about your profile or status in society, we give a damn about our own safety and how you conduct yourself while you are with us. You can be a cash-strapped student who saved up for two months to visit us, or a wealthy executive and you'll get the exact same treatment and will be held accountable to meet the same guidelines and expectations each of us lays out for our clients to abide by. It's not about you. Truly, we don't care enough one way or the other about you beyond ascertaining if you will be a gentlemen during our time together. It's about us making sure we feel safe and whatever precautions we put in place to create that feeling of safety. -

Thanks everyone for an entertaining read... Of course the bottom line here, as has already been pointed out a few times, is that you are either okay giving more detailed personal information or you aren't. Yea or Nay Arguing the reasons why a companion chooses to have certain specifications in order to spend time with her is not accomplishing anything. A lady chooses her rules and what she's okay with and that's that. I'm not even going to go into reasons why saying shit like "if she wants your real info you should have hers, too" is skewed logic at it's best. If you don't understand why you're being obtuse, me adding yet another explanation is hardly going to enlighten you. I get that guys want to protect their privacy just as much as the ladies do. But again: if you don't like the way a lady handles her business, then find someone who is more suited to you. No need to try to use weird logic to justify your stance. Move on to another companion whose expectations and requirements are at a level you are willing to meet. Wow! Rocket science! Okay kids, let's all make nice and go about our lives.- 114 replies

If women can face down the Pear of Anguish every time they need to get their lady-parts checked out, I think men can handle a little snake up the bum. And you guys get drugged to make it more comfortable! Your health is not a joke. Get checked!

Have you watched any good movies lately?
Kate von Katz replied to CristyCurves's topic in Fun Threads
Watched What We Do In the Shadows... so good! It's a documentary style film about a bunch of old vampires. That makes it sound lame but it's not lame; it's a must-watch! Laughed my ass off. Also recently watched The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness, which is a look at the great Hayao Miyazaki. He's an interesting man and if you enjoy his films and are interested in peeking behind the curtain you should check this film out. -
My approach to just about everything in life is to boil it down to the simplest forms I can and then go from there. So from my perspective, some factors to consider are: MONEY As an indy you keep all your money, but your overhead (ads, phone, etc.) has to be paid by you. Take the time to do a bit of math - factor in reasonable estimates for monthly income, then subtract overhead from your indy side and agency fees from your agency side, and see which option makes you more satisfied. TIME As an indy, you have to invest some time into making ads, posting ads, fielding phone calls, e-mails and text messages. Now, you can control these things if you so choose as well. If you really don't like text messages, just state "no texts" in your ads. Done. But there is still a fair bit of time put into these things. And let's face it: not everyone who contacts us is polite and friendly. You have to decide not only what methods of contact you prefer, but also if this is worthwhile for you after taking into account the difference in monthly income as an indy vs agency. CONTROL As an indy, you are you. Unaffiliated with anyone else. As an agency girl if the agency gets a bad name because of a few bad seeds, your business may also suffer. There is also the hazard of having a manager or drivers who make you uncomfortable or are not professional and pleasant to you. And as an indy, you have the added bonus of being able to have the client's phone number and/or e-mail and/or board handle rather than the agency just giving you a name and a time he'll be coming by. It's pretty easy to see that I am biased towards being an indy, but that's my own love of total autonomy speaking. You should consider those factors, in the order I mentioned them: money, time and control. Really take the time to think it through, every little detail. Write it out if you like to have visuals.

I'm going simple tonight and also I have a ton of fish and lamb in my freezer. Am I the only one who keeps buying meat every single time I'm at the grocer, regardless of if I already have meat at home? So I'll do a simple filet of red snapper on a bed of lemon and fresh thyme, roast potatoes, boiled asparagus and a red leaf lettuce salad with a whole cubed avocado, half a red bell pepper diced, a third of a cucumber diced and a generous amount of creamy poppyseed dressing. And a nice bottle of Unibrioue's Maudite to go with. :D
