Whack jobs, nut cases and sickos
futileresistenz replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Sorry you have to go through that type of anguish, Cristy. The best course of action for these mental midgets is indeed to ignore them, and ignore them always. Nothing good comes from engaging, ever! Except to make you a martyr to them. Whether it's ignorance or simply as a game is immaterial. There's just no excuse. FR -

How important are looks to you?
futileresistenz replied to toklat77's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Looks aren't very important to me, attitude and engaging personality is. Having said that, sure it is nice to be in the companionship of an extraordinary beauty, but I define beauty very broadly and if there is personal chemistry, that's much more important! JMO :) FR -

Congratulations to "Mr. Spud" on 7 years of CERB membership. Spud joined on May 2, 2006 - and we're proud to have this long-standing contributor amongst us! He's probably seen many, many changes over this time and effected some as well. Hope you keep enjoying this "home" and best wishes for the future, Spud! How time doth fly!

Sending a text just saying 'hi'
futileresistenz replied to Cleo Catra's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
This also baffles me. So far, I've never booked via text and always do so via introductory email and it's worked out very well for me. I suppose it could be nerves, feeling intimidated, or just the incapacity to deal with five words or more at once. ;) ["Monkey brain"] Or it is a desire to make a connection over a period of many hours (even days!) with your intended 'target' via a ping-pong game of short text 'blurts' fired back and forth. Just a hare-brained thought. Or is it monkey brain? But consider this: The lady in question may just get a little frustrated with aimless texting, and most likely would rather be meeting with you (or another booking client) than waste time trying to figure out what it is that you are after. Guys/Gents: If you'll permit a little piece of advice, when you do text that lovely lady, make it just long enough beyond the 'Hi!' to let her know what you want! You may not be quite ready to book and have a question. It doesn't hurt to give her a compliment by saying why you chose to contact specifically her and not someone else. This is likely to flatter her and lead to more interest on her part to continue the conversation. Ask any question you might have, but have some respect. Questions like "Can I just pound you for the full hour?" are likely going to put her off you altogether. For a large part of this audience I am preaching to the choir, but just doing my community duty to advise those new to this board or who might be unsure about booking their first encounter. There are many threads here that cover topics just like this one. It is a gold mine if you just look. Now go forth, educate, book and conjugate! :) [tbc] -

Sex Work: A Hobby or an Art Form?
futileresistenz replied to PatrickGC's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have adopted this lifestyle for the time being, as I prefer not to invest the emotional energy and time into a bona fide, long-term, committed relationship. This may just be a phase, or an enduring choice. I am not yet able to answer that question. As many would agree, the terms hobby and hobbyist are unsuited as a moniker to this way of life, for reasons that I won't go into detail. They imply a non-serious, whimsical mindset, which at least to those who (as repeaters) over time have formed long-term bonds, seems like a devaluation of the comfort and well-being they have been able to find within our like-minded, accepting community. To them, the primary gratification derives from having meaningful, supportive and sustaining relationships, and only secondarily in the purely physical aspects. In practitioners who have perfected the skills of seduction and who genuinely love what they do, I consider this a true art form worthy of lofty esteem. We operate in a part of the real world where the stereotypes fall away and the warmth, companionship, admiration and respect we share with each other resembles little of what the rest of the world believes this industry to be about. Tongue-in-cheek I will add, "Leave them in their ignorance." I hope I'm excused for the very brief and furtive dart off topic. FR- 14 replies

Blocked Phone Numbers
futileresistenz replied to sneezy1963's topic in Escort Discussion for New Brunswick
There is no reason for paranoia. If you stick to reputable providers with good reviews, chances are that they haven't gotten to where they are by being loose-lipped. That would travel pretty fast and ruin a reputation and business. If you want to see a lady, it will serve you well to get a pre-paid phone, or else find another lady that has a different procedure. I do not want to tell anyone how they should run their business or how to pick a provider, but IMO it is the ladies that don't have an effective screening process that may also have little regard for your own safety and overall experience, and it is they, not the well-known professionals, who you (or any client concerned about discretion and safety) should screen out. If you stick to providers on this board, you more than likely have nothing to worry about. Just have fun! My nickle's worth. FR -

There was a query here some time ago which I don't see answered in this thread. It is a bit late (sorry, Gabriella), but better late than never. :) [original post here] From the Rules and FAQ forum, here's how to do it: Can I block posts, emails and messages from specific users? If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'. There are several ways to do this: Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'. That is one way of dealing with it. Alternatively, if you see an offensive or illegal post, you can make use of the red Report "button" at the top right of a post to alert staff of any abuse of the system. I hope that helps someone, either now, or in the future. FR
