  1. These shows are geared to advertising and that in turn is geared to the demographic that the show attracts. It's designed to deliver what the viewers expect, a self righteous view of the World According to Middle America. It is one more reason why I watch VERY little TV any more! CB
  2. I really rather like toe cleavage. I think it subtle, understated and a turn-on, so you are not alone. Mind you I like ladies' legs and shoes in general. The "chevrons" are actually anatomically the inguinal ligaments, but that phrase really doesn't evoke immediate limbic responses! (I will now re-cage my inner geek) CB
  3. Chemistry and conversation. I may look a bit old but I'm not stupid and can spot a lie. While there is a role for the "little white lie" in good conversation/flirting, much else is an insult to my intelligence and the fastest way to throw cold water over an encounter. I wonder what the ladies would say if asked the same question... CB
  4. A weekend of rest; no responsibility save for making the turkey gravy and passing out cold beers to pleasant company. ...and the sun shone for two straight days!! CB
  5. From my limited experiences in this area, I would suggest the only people who wreck homes are the ones who live therein. All else is smoke and mirrors - "blaming and shaming". There are whole groups of "outside agents" who get paid to try and achieve reconciliations. I would accept the possibility, or even probability that an outside agent can rescue a rocky relationship, even if their initial purpose was for something a little more prosaic. There is a facet of the SP/Hobbyist interaction which leaps off this Board that I have not seen mentioned, let alone discussed elsewhere. It speaks to the relationship or "chemistry" in such encounters which is mentioned all over the place here. For me and my albeit few interactions with the ladies here, I have found that alchemy a true delight. Whether or not those interactions have made me an easier person to live with, I am not the person to ask! CB
  6. Funny about that cooking thing, eh? I am off into the boonies where there is no laptop! I have a lot to celebrate one way or another - hope you do too. Have a good one! CB
  7. Such a clever guy. Despite all his successes he lost his health. In the end that is something we should spend a moment to treasure over this weekend's holiday. CB
  8. For mentioning the disease and its effects on you. If you have a physical illness you can see or feel it, but depression doesn't work that way. It becomes the way you see your life: it pushes and drags you down into a well of despair from which you can see no way out. I am struck by the number of people on this board who have the courage to name and out their demons. with admiration, CB
  9. did you know the first condoms and sausage skins were one and the same food item?
  10. The safety issues trumps all! Much as i like the flirting and would love to continue I can manage without it too, at least via this medium. I think it a testament to the "knowledge of the commons" that by keeping calm, expressing our honest opinions and listening, MOD may have a solution that balances these views. Yay 100!! CB
  11. If you don't have some degree of "nerves", you aren't normal! All the advice here is excellent. Remember they're ladies, each and every one CB
  12. Do you mean The Erdos-Bacon score. It uses two axes, with Bacon on one and the mathematician on the other. Sorry. Inner geek now fading.......... CB
  13. Try scratching your leg above the cast. You'd be surprised how it can work! Alcohol may not help :-( CB
  14. The show is free to be offensive and, worse still for "comedy", completely lacking in humour. In a sense I am not especially surprised at such scenes, deleted or otherwise, as by and large TV continues its downward spiral with respect to originality, style and content. Likewise, I am free to ignore the show's existence as I have for the last few years. CB
  15. I'm a turducken virgin too - and a bit oif a traditionalist at Thanksgiving. Keep us posted though. It sounds different. CB
  16. Puts the ladies' screenings in a whole new light. CB
  17. Yes - I have a spare! variation on the theme above: Does what you do become who you are? (<3000 words double spaced please) CB
  18. That's probably an indictable offence. We need more volunteers to fill up the new jails we're building! CB
  19. Well done. It takes a lot of interest to rack up that kind of score! CB
  20. There was a feature in G&M recently on these appointments. It suggested the appointees did abandon partisan views after assuming the Bench. Maybe I underestimate them after all? CB
  21. I like RG coz he was nice to me, but he's nice to most everyone as far as I can see. And I do like his jokes: I can never remember punch lines! CB - home in one more sleep!
  22. Thanks for the link. Another bit of the not so thin edge. What makes them think they have any right to be rummaging around my emails? I thought we had a Charter..... CB
  23. I like Melia-Rae coz she wears nice lingerie :big clap: CB
  24. You will get aches and pains there for the first couple of weeks. Any local tender spot, particularly if it is over a bony bit of your foot or ankle and away from the tendon may need to be checked out. Casts can rub and create hot spots. Maybe Samantha's suggestion of a bit of Tender Loving Care may be a good prescription..... :icon_biggrin: CB
