Making some business changes.
rileydaniels posted a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I just returned from Las Vegas from attending Desiree Alliance, and I have been considering some business changes being a woman of colour service provider. I will be taking appointments Thursday which I will post my schedule once I figure out my new business plans. I consider myself to be above average to most of the Independent escorts in Toronto (service providers 18 to 25). I would consider my base hour rate above $200 I even considered going to $300 an hour because I know I am worth. I have also considered the current market [research market: current women of colour mostly black who are independent for more then 6 months to current not including those who advertise exclusively on craiglist], economy, and other factors. I am not trying to copy myself to anyone else I know me being authentic to myself shows in my work and my overall well being and happiness. The reason I am making this post in a public forum but I am interested into see what some of the members have to say. I wouldn't be changing my name but I am considering a few changes in my business model. Location, Incall/Outcalls, rates and touring. Additional Comments: input from everyone would be really appreciated. Additional Comments: I think I can bump this since I really need some input from other perspectives in the industry. MOD got any opinions. -
I thought you were talking about Adonis in Toronto. I am actually consider making a visit and getting my own servicing done.

Majority of the time I have been answering the door in a panty and bra set ... no heels but I have been known to answer the door naked.

rileydaniels replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I nap all the time, but I am lucky I use to nap for 4 hours and be up all night, but with the cats they wake me up in 2 hours when I nap. so I am not drained at night. you basically go lie down in a comfortable room and relax eventually you fall a sleep. -
Found by GenevieveLajoi Someone on another board posted a link to a very interesting research project exploring the regulation of the escort agencies, strip clubs and body rub parlours through Criminal Code and municipal by-law in thirteen municipalities across Canada. The research project is undertaken by Dr. Mary Whowell from the School of Criminology, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver. As she mentions on the website for the project, the voices of adult entertainers are crucial in debates surrounding the regulation of the adult industry. She is interested in interviewing: Managers of escort agencies, strip clubs and body rub parlours. Men and women working for escort agencies, in strip clubs and in body rub parlours. The researcher comes from a perspective which recognizes and supports the rights of individual sex workers, including their rights to remain in or leave sex work; she has done quite a bit of volunteer work with sex workers organizations and support groups; and from skimming some of her publications, she sounds like someone I would trust to produce a very interesting analysis of the regulation of sex work in Canada. Her methodology looks rigorous and in line with any academic methodology which involves the participations of at risk population - note that as it is standard practice with any academic research, she had to have her project and its methodology approved by the SFU Research Ethics Board. I would encourage sex workers to contact her to participate in her study. Also note that should you allow her to, the interview will be recorded and transcripted, and participant may request a copy of the written transcript: I strongly suggest you do request such transcript, and carefully review it to make sure that you were understood and quoted properly. I have myself already contacted her and scheduled an interview with her. For more info on the research project, the researcher, and her methodology, check out her website: http://www.regulatingsex.com/ http://www.regulatingsex.com/

I am in Toronto, when I got this place I didn't have a job but I was in my previous apartment for 3 years. They usually ask for a bank statement with your deposits if you can't prove your employment but you can prove income, which is what I showed them for this place when I moved in 2 years ago. I still have the letter from the contract for shopping channel which I am more then happy to give out. because the website http://www.contractxchange.com has the overnight staff work from home and are contracted from the website contractxchange.com

it almost felt like a waste when the laws have to change before people can accept prostitution as a profession. -
Industry Workers Discounts
rileydaniels replied to Kate von Katz's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
some do in Toronto, but its just a hassle, so i just pay for it and write them off on my taxes. some of them only give them to strippers and want you to show your stripper liscence i think its a bit ridiculous when they arent offering it to everyone in the industry. -

I don't have a formal business plan but I do reference myself to the book The Internet Escorts Handbook from time to time or I will send the author an email when I am not sure about something. but I think once I return from Desiree Alliance conference I will have a good solid foundation of how I want to run my business of being an escort and aslo a webcam model. here is her quick online version, but her book does have alot of info http://www.theinternetescortshandbook.com/notebook/ -
