It's all in the connection for me, which has been stated several times. Time and finances don't allow me to hobby too often and I love to window shop, but when I do find the opportunity to visit a lady, I tend to avoid the price extremes. However, those price extremes too often do not reflect the experience. There's a true gem or 10 at every price level for me. I have met ladies in very humble surroundings (not dirty.....just humble) that I really fell for......genuine human beings. I have met the mid-range ladies that I felt soooo comfortable with. I have met the odd slightly more expensive lady that were the most down-to-earth people you'd ever want to meet and never regretted the extra money. Like another poster said, I'm not cheap, but I am frugal. If we enjoy ourselves- at whatever price point- you've made me happy. So far, the ladies I have met have either been incredibly good actresses or we have both just been normal human beings who have enjoyed each others' company. The ladies I enjoy are the same ones I would enjoy regardless of circumstances and price is not the determining factor.

A biking buddy's son died tonight following complications from cancer surgery. Early 30's. I cannot imagine losing a child. Additional Comments: Be sure how to react......move on. They already have. Harsh, I know, but it easier for an outsider to interpret.

My old (16) dog's having a dream in the other room and letting out some "yips". She's had a harder winter this year. Hopefully, she's having puppy dreams. When I went to check on her, she licked the hell out of my face. Bless her heart........and she still went out for a pee.

What's your fantasy encounter
cometman replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think I may have already had my fantasy encounter. I have had some memorable ones- actually, most of them- but have only repeated with one. I'll 3peat with her......it was truly memorable. -

Congrats, bud! Nothing counts until 20,000 now! LOL -
Had to euthanize 2 cows in 4 days due to injuries unobserved and unpreventable. Wtf is going on? Now to play Mr. Mom to some kiddos. #realworldproblems. LOL.......was that a hashtag?

Something to ponder

Here's one for you. I own a farm. I get cats dropped off way too often. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay to get them all fixed. However, I like animals, so I cannot just dispose of them. So.....I buy cat food. Short of setting up trail cams and shooting the perps that drop them off, any suggestions? Cristy, I'd consider some sort of barter system if you have any suggestions. LOL -
It's been awhile for me. Life interferes and no matter how intrigued I am, time is an issue. Whenever I become slightly bewildered, I think of three things. Who are the reputable ones from my home area? Who have I met with and connected with before? Which ladies from CERB are travelling this way? Tried and true always beckon to me in times of uncertainty.

Note to self. Don't leave here for awhile and then come back to this thread....it's a long one. Chin up, everyone. Life's tough for all of us at times. Life's tribulations suck at times, but they define who we are. If they didn't bother us, there's something wrong. If our troubles didn't bother our friends, there's something wrong with our friends. We're a good bunch on here, over all.

Good Lord......what happens if it's dark? Good advice, nonetheless. -

What phone are you using....
cometman replied to Ice4fun's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Good Lord.....why am I even replying? I am a throwback and a holdout. I use a tough old flip phone (Samsung Rugby) that does everything I want it to do. I don't surf, tweet, snap, email, or insta. I make and take calls and texts. I consider myself the Jeremiah Johnson of cell phones by choice. Having said that, I know the day is coming and I would love GPS for bike trips. When it happens, if they are still here, I'll be a BB man. -
Sorry to read of your decision, bud. Hope you reconsider or re-appear at some point in time and I hope you have a great Christmas!

Was thinking about you tonight and hope you're doing well, bud. -
My mom is 84, lives alone, and called me tonight because her new furnace stopped working. My brother went down first but couldn't get it working, so I drove the 10 miles to her place, put 40 liters of diesel fuel in the tank, bled it, and got it fired up. She wanted to pay me for the fuel and I refused......reminding her of how many times she and dad helped me over the years. Then I sat down with her and went over her bank statements. The part that sucks? Mom was sharp as a tack all her life and now is slowly starting to lose her memory. It's time for the son to become the parent and she deserves it.

Owning a farm and having kids.........it's been a ride, for sure. New calves that need names and attention- especially preemies. Litters of kittens every time I turned around and being torn between showing them to my kids or praying the kids didn't find them. Accident-prone foals. Baby birds......omfg......my kids would find them, bring them to me, we'd work out a mothering routine for them, and then my kids would disappear to grampies house for a few days.....grrrr. Friggin' things were usually too young when they were found and they would usually die just before my kids got home, but the kids just moved on to the next adventure without a "thanks for trying, dad"! Dogs....love 'em. I grew up with Border Collies and my current girl is now 15 and showing it. Loves the indoors in the wintertime (like me) and, when the time comes, my wife will have to take her to the vet because I cannot. I'll bury her on the farm in a special spot and cry when nobody's watching. My wife has a useless furball that she loves and spoils (okay, I kinda like her, too) that is a Lhasa Apso- Schitzu cross.....sorta like a cat. Oh, btw......cat lovers......you don't own cats- they own you! LOL . -
I'm with Katherine on this snow bit. Snow caused me to break my leg 3 years ago and I'm done with the love affair. Snow ads hours to my work day and I cannot wait for winter to end. Winters are getting easier in NS, but if they get worse, I'm heading to Florida for a month or two every winter.

I love threads like these for the same reasons that I talk too much when I first meet a lady from CERB.........because I love learning about people and what makes them tick. I'm a farmer and a family man. I love animals, plants, and tractors. I'm not religious, but I abide by the Golden Rule. I am a good friend because I care more about helping you than my personal wealth or well-being. My kids are my legacy and I'll do what I can to mentor them and get them further in life. My wife........okay, let's not go there except to say she's a terrific person who everyone loves, but she forgot what makes men happy-sex and sandwiches. I was ready to retire about 5 years ago, but now may have 2 youngsters returning to the farm, so I'm working with renewed vigor even though my body isn't 25 any longer. I consider many of the people on this forum friends and, when they disappear, I hope all is well with them. The ones I interact with on here, I'd love to meet someday. My bike is my solitude and I treasure those times alone.

To a special lady on here who lost a family member..........huge hug for you.

Got a call tonight. The boys are talking a bike trip to the rally in Sturgis in August (http://www.sturgismotorcyclerally.com/). Holy crap.....somehow, I am in. Two weeks on the road and likely 8000-9000 kms. Have to start doing squats.......this butt has to get toned up.

If in doubt, stick to CERB and drive the 60 miles to Halifax. I WISH I lived that close. However, as stated above, Penelope would be an excellent choice.
