In my opinion authentic trumps artifice every time. However, there is a place for subtle fakery. What if the provider is not in the best mood? What if she or he is slightly irritable? Two weeks ago I was in Las Vegas. But that was not the stupid part, that comes later. The day before we were scheduled to depart I noticed my credit card case was missing! Shift to high alert, worked the phones and cancelled credit and debit cards, major hassle but at least I was safe from rip off artists. Fast forward one week. Emptied our my carry-on travel bag and what did I find? Yep the aforementioned card case was hiding under a pair of used boxers. Doh! Well I guess better safe than sorry, but do I ever feel stupid!

Steak or Carne pizzaiola. Made from scratch with onions, peppers, garlic, strips of leftover steak, chopped tomatoes, olive oil and penne pasta. Cook the pasta, sauté the meat & veggies, mix in a casserole add cheese and bake for 20 minutes. OMG the perfect munchie food. Easy to serve, easy to eat and tastes like a lot more! Yummo!
