  1. I think you may be right Angela. As clients we do very much enjoy doing that but in my case it's my version of YMMV :) I'm definitely more inclined on the second and subsequent encounters and only if there is mutual interest of course.
  2. I'm glad you started it also RG. Seems a few didn't realize that the most common one is sometimes known as the "silent" STD :) (e.g. no symptoms) But beyond that we all need to take responsibility as responsible adults. Most STDs (aside from the sensational ones like AIDS) are really a non-event, easily treated, quickly taken care of and more of a simple annoyance than anything else but with some you will never know about it until it is too late without testing. Certainly as a result of your thread, I will be tested much more often :) So Kudos to you for bring it up... It's sometimes a bit of a sensitive topic around here and probably shouldn't be.
  3. I think you are right. My Doctor is in a very small town and there are no clinics. So until recently I wasn't getting tested at all often enough and should have been: Once in a while the tests were done just to rule that out as to what is causing this or that symptom. So when I asked him to add a full STD panel he agreed easily enough but then wanted to know why. Did I suspect my wife was cheating? Was I? Was it any of his business? Probably not but then I think his questions were just genuine concern and so I took them that way and he once I told him of my wife's medical condition (she has a different Doctor) as a Doctor he was able to recognize that intimacy was impossible and further that I had her permission, which he thought was neat. And then yes, exactly as you say, he was going to limit some of the tests so I had to come clean and tell him it was professional ladies from many different cities and he thought that was really cool also and then willing to do the full round of tests. At least now we have this understanding and so he will no doubt order the tests as a matter of routine every time I see him (says he will).
  4. They are two good questions and I do have a solution when the schedule permits. I'm not one for one hour visits. In fact schedule permitting I'd much prefer 4 - 6 hours or even more if I need help with shopping, want to see a movie or go somewhere not alone (and she is ok with that) most of which is some activity other than what one can do with an hour. So I do like to invite a lady I haven't met to a one hour restaurant lunch and I think that's all about chemistry and compatibility. I try not to talk about this business, just try to have a fun lunch, listen to what she has to say to me more than anything and of course answer any questions she has about me. Then when I see her again on another day (or even later that evening if she is available) we already know each other and have a much better idea if there is going to be compatibility and chemistry. It's just as important to me that she likes me also.
  5. An I like Mr. Nice for his continued presence and contributions to CERB (including trying to get this thread reset) and be darned if his CERB handle isn't pretty accurate, from what I hear and read he really is Mr. Nice :) And there we go again, with megforfun getting in their a few seconds before me so that's how easy it is for this thread to be jumbled, I like her for many reasons and I'll be dammed if I don't soon see meg-for-fun :) If she'll have me of course. Yes, and I also like her because she obviously got the drop on me :) Quick-draw meg-for-fun. Fastest post in the west (or Ottawa at least) :)
  6. Sounds sensible enough Cristy. Probably worth mention though that some very common STDs don't always present any symptoms at all. For example, the most common of all (in North America), Chlamydia causes symptoms in only 1 in 4 men and 30% of women, is very easily treated and when left untreated causes complications. So the most common one of all only presents symptoms caused by the damage it does when left untreated in the majority of people. I'm inclined to suggest that RG has it absolutely right, certainly if you are getting the blood work done anyways, why not throw these tests on there.
  7. I once had a girlfriend that was really bad for amychesis (AM-i-KEE-sis) - The involuntary act of scratching or clawing your partner in the heat of passion. Now I just have felis silvestris catus :)
  8. Thanks Notch but speak for yourself! Actually you did :) so just kidding. This is one of those things that probably varies from person to person and while I found it quite medieval I wouldn't want a few seconds of discomfort to discourage anyone from the obvious benefits: They far outweigh a little discomfort for a short period of time so even if you are one that is ready to rip the Doctor's head off the inclination to do so only last a short time. It is well worth the peace of mind even if was worse than it is but I'm sure different people have different levels of sensitivity to this, perhaps it won't bother you at all. In fact, that's what my Doctor said when we was about to perform the procedure, some people really mind it, others not so much or at all.
  9. I've seen a few ladies that certainly make it clear they don't offer BBBJ so it's obviously not a deal breaker (for me). Oddly, even though it was made clear to me no BBBJ (by their ads or correspondence, without asking -- I didn't ask), seems BBBJ was more often than not... well let's just say it must be one of those YMMV things even with some that are clear up front it won't be available :) But then I have no agenda or expectations and have walked away from several very nice visits with some wonderful ladies and it just seemed we never got around to first base, maybe next time :) Maybe never.... Oddly to me, sexual services are, well nice to know it's pretty much understood to be available, but not always necessary. I admit to once kind of being disappointed a little when I was warned ahead of time I would be raped (not that you can rape the willing) and wasn't but other than that one time never disappointed.
  10. I got really bad news of this sort this morning and only after reading your post did I realize why perhaps one of my posts was so intolerant. I guess we are all affected the same way about these kinds of things.
  11. Post retracted by author. Changed my mind, hopefully this time got a good one. :)
  12. Malwarebytes is good also and Super Anti-SpyWare (but this one you have to be careful of as there are a couple of fake versions). So when looking for this stuff you even have to be careful to get the real deal (as opposed to a look alike) or you'll really learn how much malware bites :) Often Spybot S & D will find something or nothing and then a second scan with malwarebytes will find more, you definitely can't trust just one program to find them all and in fact you no longer can trust all of them to find everything. It's so bad I gave up on my Trader Workstation. I won't even check my email or do anything other then running the software I need to. Everything else is run under a VMware instance in a sandbox and I keep a copy of the "virtual" hard disk for the "virtual machine" so I just overwrite it once in a while. The equivalent of formatting the hard disk and re-installing but it only takes 20 seconds or so. Some stuff can't be removed easily at all.
  13. And very dangerous too. Browser high jacks can control what you see but they can also see what you submit on a form (like logging into CERB) so they end up with a lot more control than is immediately apparent. So until you identify the exact variant and get rid of it and make sure there is no more (of another sort) one wonders what other evil things such malware might be silently doing. I did catch a browser high jack phoning private data home once when I was monitoring network traffic for a business in the course of my duties at the time.
  14. Yeah, you have some malware on your computer. Sometimes these things invite their friends to the party who in turn invite more friends.
  15. The cat chose me :) We have three cats (not by choice) but the nicest (and most recent) of all found us and came to my door one day limping with a completely broken paw and near death from starvation. A lot of money on vet bills later, she is the nicest cat I have ever known. I knew that if I didn't take her in, it was a death sentence. During the 6 weeks it took for her paw to heal we kept her in a spare bedroom with a kitty litter, food and water, a radio (for some faint ambient background noise so she'd never really feel alone), a desk lamp so it was never completely dark and each evening I would take my note book computer or a good book and lay on the floor next to her for hours to keep her company because I knew the rest of the time she was all alone. Of course I also knew that cats do sleep about 16 hours per day so if I spent at least 4 hours a day with her that would be at least half the time she was awake that someone would be there to keep her company. I guess in those many weeks and hours each day we bonded. Now she follows me everywhere though out our very large house, more like a puppy dog than a cat. Every morning absolutely without fail she is waiting for me to wake up so she can make the trek downstairs with me for my morning coffee, I don't really understand the purpose of this ritual but it seems of the utmost importance to her to never miss a day. I know she will be waiting for every evening when I come home (as she knows exactly when that will be without the aid of a watch). They really are or do quickly become members of our family with their own personalities.
  16. Well of course I wasn't in love with her and you must have been to be willing to get her the house of her dreams... That's the RG gentleman we all know and respect. The affair aside for a moment, the #1 marriage ending nightmare is money problems (not affairs) so it really sounds to me like you dodged a bullet here RG. Perhaps what ended the engagement was a blessing in disguise? Just the way it seems to someone so far removed from the situation I really have no idea for sure... but I know my first wife was absolutely wonderful for the first two years and then she started gambling and that was the tip of the iceberg... looking back on it (20-20 hindsight is a wonderful thing) I was quite a fool at the time and I now regret being faithful to her to spite so many lucrative opportunities to not be and now knowing that she wasn't.
  17. How about a leaky electric water heater and two leaky pipes (inside the walls of course). Not a landlord by choice I assure you. .
  18. Burger King's Double Whopper with cheese but it's got to be 6 million calories :) So if I have one around lunch time I won't be eating again today.
  19. It's not like ordering a book on Amazon :) It pretty much just sends them an email with all the information you have filled into their form so really just an initial contact method. To bad it wasn't like Amazon's one click ordering, one click and the goods arrive :)
  20. Of course... but I suppose if you didn't know about CERB or were one of the many people that still have a total lack of understanding for this industry and believe all the crazy stereotypes and incorrect information so we eliminate lovely CERB ladies from your available choices (through ignorance or economics) then an affair with another married person is likely safer in many ways as they have a secret to keep also and it's more difficult for them to form an emotional attachment, be indiscreet or for things to get really messy? That said, it is a far better approach indeed to keep the company of a professional companion :) And I really believe the lovely ladies provide an invaluable service to us married folk in many more ways than the immediately obvious ones. Just the same I think I'd be chicken enough not to dare attempt either approach without my SO's permission. I think my morals would also play a role but I'd be the last to judge anyone that doesn't have permission -- in fact I'd probably admire them for taking action and putting the risks aside :)
  21. And I agree with you my friend. I don't want to be negative here in fact just the opposite - if I knew how to handle this problem and make it go away I'd be very inclined to simply do so as a no cost service to the CERB community. But we are only going to be able to easily determine the web hosting company, the legal name and address of the true offender is much harder and expensive to obtain, in fact we might have to start formal legal proceedings against the web hosting company (beyond the small claims court limit) to get that information on discovery, could take years. So we pick on the web hosting company and send them notice that they are hosting copyrighted content in violation of the Copyright Act and to cease and desist - in all likelihood they do take down the content. But the offender can buy a new web hosting package and upload the content to a new web site in a few minutes and then we have to find it again and send another letter. Eventually we are dealing with a web hosting company well outside our reach who specializes in hosting questionable content (there are a few) and they don't comply. I can't see how we can tip the scales and make it more expensive for the offender than it is for the complainant. If anyone does, please speak up! To make the offender require a legal counsel we have to sue them directly (which requires we know exactly who they are, where they are, file and have them served and process servers cost money too) and then they still don't need counsel, they just ignore us, the applicant shows up to the hearing at their expense and wins by default as no response or defense was offered and gets an unenforceable order. My off shore web hosting company doesn't know who I am, all they know is my email address I used with PayPal to buy the web hosting package. If they want my name and home address they need to go to PayPal to get this. Paypal probably won't give it up easily, they are more interested in processing payments and payment disputes. Of course the mail exchanger (MX) records for my domain are pointed at Google as they host my email, so we know I am Google's customer and they probably know who I am. Ask them to give up customer data, not without great cause and almost no choice legally will they do this. It's been mentioned that exposing this is an option, in the case of one CERB lady stealing from another I agree, it's not unladylike to do so as the gentlemen of CERB want nothing to do with these copy cats and even deserve to know but alas you can't even post that negative information on CERB.
  22. I agree completely with your sentiment RG. Unfortunately in a civil matter (and I don't see LE bothering with this) the applicant has to pay the initial filing cost and show up to a hearing, the respondent need not even appear (therefore no cost to them). Emily Rushton can't file suit (unless of course that is her legal name) and then we need the legal name and address of the respondent also and have to serve them with 5 days of filing (in Nova Scotia, something similar in every province I suspect) and provide proof of service to the Court. How do we calculate damages and in a provable and quantifiable amount the Judge can understand? So the only relief we can seek would seem to be an order to compel them to take down the content and it is basically unenforceable. If it is hosted outside Canada, Opps, no joy. We might get a web hosting company to take it down but the offender can put it back up with another web hosting company the same day for far less costs than it took to take it down (in fact for pennies on the hundreds of dollars). An so the Whack-A-Mole game continues.... There are legal ways around all of this but wow they get expensive fast. Yeah but McDonalds is an 89 billion dollar company, a million in legal fees is nothing to them. That's 89,000 million so if you have $89,000 and have to spend $1 on legal fees, seems affordable.
  23. Yeah I've never been a big fan of this (contact me from the parking lot) but I do understand it. One day a backhoe dug up and severed a fibre optic link and all cell phones and Internet service were out for most of the day. Fortunately land lines were still working (within the city, no long distance possible) and I knew the lady's real name so went to a coin phone, called the hotel and asked for her by name, spoke with her directly and got the room number. Lately the ladies I know email me the information shortly after their arrival (as soon as they know the room number) as it's not like I'm going to do surveillance on them and for them (that I know and trust) I always prefer to prepay which means I can't be late, just reducing the length of my appointment by not showing up on time which is rare and I would still call the lady if going to be more than 10 or 15 minutes late (if possible) so she wouldn't be worried about me. These kinds of unexpected events will always happen from time to time and it's how we handle and react to them that matters the most when the unexpected happens.
  24. I think RG only went that far afield because he has no experience or recent experience with alcohol so he is understandably a little scared of the stuff because he can't touch it at all. I know he is a complete gentleman and meant no disrespect. And Ameila is just trying to overcome the nervous pre-encounter jitters which I guess I am a dead man as I no longer get them. I say we cut them both some slack :)
  25. Very well done Samantha, it would have been easy to slip up and just casually tell them the answer and then if the client was the sort to play detective or just spoke to the breeder genuinely interested in a dog like yours information could be disclosed you didn't want disclosed. This is kind of a secondary seemingly innocent question that can accidentally be asked by a client without any intent to gather personal information. We need to be careful of asking those as too often they do get answered. But the worse faux pas I remember once an SP tucked me in for the night, whips out her cell phone to phone a cab, gives them her real name and her apartment building she is going to and then it struck her, OMG I just did that in earshot of BackRubMan and then it struck her again, no worries. In a way it was a compliment as she said "I'm glad I screwed up like that in front of you who I do really trust" and trust me she could.
