  1. I'm gonna say true. I was once a "Big Brother" to a child who didn't have a father.
  2. Perhaps she had a "good laugh" when she read certain email inquiries. If a land line confirmation is not possible then just move on. This is her chosen method of screening/confirming and if we don't approve we don't have to call, right. I know I can not, and therefore, will not ever call from my residential number so obviously a lady that screens via this method is not for me, so I (regretfully) have to move along.
  3. You posted almost the exact same thing within an hour and a half, a mistake or...
  4. Ya well... ...if it were a male who said women are simple creatures could you imagine the inevitable comments. As far as what Google has to say I don't much care as that is Google and this is not! By the way I was never one to laugh at dumb blonde jokes but as you say ya well.
  5. If you offer services that both you and your client enjoy then that should be quite enough. Judging from what you mentioned and from that time we met your menu is extensive. My advice is be comfortable with what you offer/don't offer and stick with pricing that is fair and fixed.
  6. To echo Andys comments Cerb is indeed NOT CL or anything that remotely resembles it or its competitors. What flies on those sites does not fly here as Mod runs a tight ship with his "town councilors" also patrolling the fence. We (the general membership) also tend to want to keep things as drama and BS free as possible. This site, although not perfect, is the absolute best that we as hobbiests and SPs have to maintain civility without the fear of CL style ads, etc. That said I sincerely doubt anyone will take the first shot sort of speak but there are lots of people here who will stand up for themselves, each other and the board as a whole! That is what Cerb and its members offer, what Cerb and its members don't offer is a place to deceive and be less than truthful. No one will instigate here lest they be "spoken to by Mod" but we as a group will defend each other and the boards principles. As you seem to allude to no one likes to be misled and there are those of us who will call foul when they see it! As far as the issue with your photos go yes your erred and you were called on it BUT apologies were given and the issue seemed to die...perhaps it is best to let bygones be bygones.
  7. I am far from a morning person, I don't enjoy the alarm clock or the thought of having to get up. The feel of the cold hardwood floors on my feet and the inevitable stumbling in the dark as my eyes adjust to light is not pleasant. The funny thing is the morning is my favorite time of the day...I just wish I didn't have to get up early to enjoy it.
  8. I was always led to believe that a soulmate was the person whom you were destined to meet, fall in love with, marry and eventually die with. That, as I said is what I was led to believe and because of that I never thought much about the definition. After reading some of the responses and doing some "inner reflecting" I am not so sure any more. Lately I find myself challenging a lot of my long held beliefs and the subject of soulmates I suppose is no different. I would have to say that the definition is different for each person just as the application of the title "soulmate" would be different for each person. By my own definition of my long held belief I have found my soulmate in that I had met someone, fell in love and married. With only the inevitable left to come. That said I am not sure if I could say that I have met my soulmate??? I find myself questioning my beliefs, not to say I made a mistake but I am wondering if there is indeed more to come. More pieces of the puzzle that I have yet to find a home for. Is the grass greener on the other side of the fence? Have I found my soulmate but am just to blind to see? Perhaps there is no such thing as a soulmate...I really do not know! One thing I do know is sometimes the grass is NOT greener on the other side and your soulmate is someone who is staring you right in the face but for reasons unknown we can not see them. Long of the short my definition may not apply to someone else but it applies to me just the same as all the previous responders definitions applied to them. I guess after it all my definition of a soulmate and and what I have are two different things but if the end result is happiness and fulfillment then I indeed have the best of both worlds...
  9. Excuse me but I consider myself to be far from simple, thank you very much!!!
