  1. Yes, I believe that is where some of the members "down my way" are coming from. Sometimes what happens in bigger centers does not occur in smaller areas/communities. I wish more guys wrote recos. but not all do. I wish all ladies had recos. but they don't. Is this a reason not to see a lady, no, at least not without other reasoning. As I said before recos. are both important and not important all at the same time.
  2. 2500 posts in "Dog Year Posts" is like 10,000 plus in human posts so well done and congrats!
  3. A few more off the top of my head: David Gilmour Billy Gibbons Ace Frehely Steve Howe Frank Zappa Slash
  4. Twenty five years later I asked myself why didn't I watch She-Ra when I was a kid??? Obviously a photo shopped pic. but I don't care! It's my fantasy and I will pretend however I want.:icon_biggrin:
  5. Anne Hathaway, she could read me the phone book and I would be turned on! Can't wait to see her in the new Batman movie as Catwoman. Addendum: Anne Hathaway in any role in any movie could read me the phone book and I would be turned on! Thanks Andy.
  6. A few off the top of my head: Pete Green former member of John Mayalls Bluesbreakers AND founding member of Fleetwood Mac. After all he is a Tony Iommi author of some of the hardest and heaviest riffs of all time. An especially difficult feat to accomplish considering he is missing the tips of his middle and ring fingers on his right hand due to a sheet metal accident at his former place of employment. Although not the sexy version of Sabbath check out the riff in Voodoo by the Ronnie James Dio era version of Sabbath. Eddie Van Halen of course from late seventies and early eighties powerhouse Van Halen. He invented a new technique referred to as "tapping" which he does very well on his axe of choice, for further proof see Richie Blackmore the temperamental guitarist, and founding member, of Deep Purple the critically acclaimed but underrated British quintet. "The Man in Black" is THE man responsible for one of the most recognizable riffs in all of rock and that is of course "Smoke on the Water." If that isn't enough proof please . Angus Young of Aussie rockers AC/DC and the man responsible for the catchiest grooves and riffs of all time, need proof here it is. Zakk Wylde, yet another in a long line of guitarists for Ozzy Osbourne. Wylde can and should be considered a Slash clone in that his influences and tastes range from Country to Blues to Pop. Zakk Wyldes talents are varied but consistent at the same time due to his varying talents. Examples can be found here, and of his metamorphosis.
  7. Marge aka Mrs. Simpson Jessica Alba aka Nancy Callahan Barbara Bach aka Major Anya Amasova aka Bond Girl Lauren Graham aka the annoying mother from the annoying show The Gilmore Girls...doesn't change the fact she is hot though.
  8. Excuse me for a moment please, I am off to borrow some of antlermans kleenex.
  9. Are women in neck ties sexy? For the definitive answer please check out Megforfuns new avatar! If there was ever any doubt it will be squashed after you see her new photo.
  10. I had to look twice just to be sure but pink hair and pig tails...aaahhhh!
  11. There are a lot of different factors that apply when a guy finally decides to book with a lady and yes recommendations are one tool that is available to us. I must include that they are not the ONLY tool available to us however. If recos. are the only benchmark by which to go by then how do you explain all the ladies who continue to advertise and contribute to Cerb. Surely they are not donating their time and services so one must conclude that something else is at play. Could it be that for the most part recommendations don't get done for every lady after every date? Possibly some guys just don't write them, yes? Could it be, and this is my favorite option, that some guys want to read them but NEVER write their own for others to read!!! I like to write recos., actually I really enjoy it for a multitude of reasons but that is me. Just because I enjoy putting key stroke to virtual paper doesn't mean the next guy will and that is okay. However, the continued search for recommendations on new ladies coupled with the lack of written recos. for these same new girls will eventually do harm to her, her reputation and her business. It doesn't take long for assumptions to be made and opinions formed and I fear that is where this thread is now. After pages and pages of guys asking about a "non recommended" SP sooner or later opinions and prejudices will form. Eventually people will form their own opinions and business may dry up for this, or any other lady, at which point the focus will be on a new thread entitled "Where are all the local SP's?" I say end this conversation and give the girl a chance to create herself and her business because I am not interested in a witch hunt to find out why she has no posted recommendations!
  12. Far as I am concerned it never hurts to ask for information. Not saying that I am a huge fan of the "anybody seen" threads but most of us have asked that very question at some point!
  13. Bet this button is gonna get used sooner than later.
  14. Mmm, I would say he won't be around as early as tomorrow morning and that is probably being generous.
  15. I was originally going to use the name George instead of my real name of Steve in my handle. Thankfully I didn't because if I had when I introduced myself a la James Bond it wouldn't have sounded quite right....Curious, George.
  16. Andy...I have come to enjoy his posts/thoughts and for a relatively new member he composes himself as a seasoned Cerb veteran, confidence without arrogance one might say.
  17. Congratulations and well done on reaching such a large post count. I am quite sure I am not the only one who enjoys, and values, your continued contributions to this board!
  18. To me meeting a "non recommended" lady is much the same as meeting a lady in real life. By using you God given ability to speak, listen, understand and think for yourself you can make a wise and informed decision. Don't ever underestimate the power of conversation when you wish to meet someone here on Cerb. As said in countless threads before if you are respectful the lady will answer your questions and respond to your comments, and she may even ask you a question or two...thus a dialogue is opened. A date, much like a relationship, is forged on trust and communication and YOU can't trust somebody by relying on someone else's opinion! So basically recommendations are both important and not important at the same time...quite a paradox, no?
  19. Although I am not the first to offer my congratulations let me be one of the many who have and will offer their best to you on this Cerb milestone. Congratulations to a lady whose opinion I admire and whose friendship I cherish! Thanks Isabella for all of your past and future contributions!
  20. Just wondering if anyone has met Lovely Lexis from the Moncton area? She is not a member of Cerb so I can't converse as I usually would. If you have met her please respond either here or via PM. Thanks
  21. :Dhttp://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/member.php?u=54553:D
  22. I believe Homer Simpson is my hero. I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I believe some people get too many second chances. I believe you will eventually get what you give. I believe life is too short and regret lasts too long. I believe in love at first sight. I believe mothers in law were sent to us by the Devil!!!! I believe in standing up for yourself. I believe heartache is something that never heals. AND I believe that every year is THE YEAR...GO SOX!!!
  23. I equate this thread to the picture below because that is what it has become...a car wreck! How can a thread and by default an award for excellence come off the tracks so much by a community of adults that we claim to be? I say we all need to take a step back and apologize to ourselves, the community and each other!
