  1. Congratulations Penelope! Hope everything goes smoothly with your little miracle :)
  2. A great place to go into hiding is a cave Cave - Muse
  3. I like Roamingguy because he just seems like an overall good guy and is great contributor to the community.
  4. Hi Peachy, I just wanted to second most of what the General said. I thought your idea was a good suggestion. I can understand there are different points of views on the subject but even still it never hurts to suggest change. Suggestions and discussion are always good things to promote as it can lead to positive changes or even lead to new ideas that can help out the community, like the sp/mp split. If everyone kept their opinions to themselves nothing would change, and things that don't change tend to die out and I would hate to see that happen to this great community. I just wanted to add that I always enjoy reading your posts too and I can definitely see that you put the effort into your ads, definitely keep it up :)
  5. Looks like I'm in the same boat as you Areez, last players in my pool team got eliminated last night along with my Sens :( but C'est la vie. To be honest though the sens gave us one hell of a season, considering most people at the start of the year predicted they would be in the basement. I was happy with the play-offs we got. Looking forward to next season too! Go Sens Go!
  6. I recently read night of the living trekkies by Kevin David Anderson and yes it is as corny as it sounds but it's actually pretty good, especially if you enjoy a silly read. http://www.amazon.ca/Night-Of-Living-Trekkies-Unauthorized/dp/1594744637
  7. My first time with a SP was actually not too long. I had been thinking of finally taking the plunge for a little while, and had been surfing the web trying to find information on this sort of thing and than I stumbled upon cerb and you could say that it changed everything. I'll admit that at first I had my reservations about this sort of thing but after finding cerb and reading the posts from hobbyist and the ladies my views changed. I also loved that that this community was so positive and non judgemental and that made things easier to take the plunge. So after doing a bit of research I finally got the nerve up to pm a very well reviewed lady and we exchanged a message or two. The next day I decided to see if she was available and by chance she was. We exchanged a few more messages and I decided to go ahead and meet her. Now I should add that not only was this my first time with a SP, but it was my first time. And to say that I was a little nervous would be the understatement of the century. So I finally get the nerve to call to confirm and I can honestly say that I've never felt more like a dork in my life as I was stammering something fiercel. She was very sweet on the phone though and that made things easier. The drive up to meet her was something of a roller coaster though as I had every feeling you could imagine but finally made it to the meeting and I have to say it was well worth it. I make it to the room and give the door a knock and hiding behind the door is truly one of the most beautiful women I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. As great as her pictures are she is even better in person. When we get into the room she gives me a hug and I have to admit that I had another bit of a dork moment when I was trying to figure out what to do with the donation but without really saying anything directed me to as where to put it. So we proceeded to talk for a bit to get a little more comfortable first. She knew about my circumstances, as I let her know ahead of time when messaging. And I have to say she really made me feel at ease and I can't describe how much that helped. She has a truly sweet personality which also helps to put people at ease. As a gentleman I don't want to get into a play by play but I truly enjoyed our time together :) I also really enjoyed talking to her afterwards. After we hugged again and parted ways I can honestly say I had the hugest smile on my face the whole drive home. Like someguy I'll only be able to hobby occasionally due to a limited budget and other circumstances. But hopefully I'll be able to visit her again sometime. Regardless of my circumstances I still enjoy reading the stories, jokes, and posts here on cerb as well as the company of such positive people :)
  8. We are now the Knights who say... "Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-PTANG. Zoom-Boing. Z'nourrwringmm.
  9. If I may provide an alternative point of view. I still go to church and to me personally if someone shows up in a jeans and T-Shirt I have no problem with it. To me it's not so much what someone is wearing in church but how they behave. I get annoyed when people are yacking away in the middle of a service or let their kids run screaming up and down the isles. I could care less if a person is wearing shorts or a suit as long as their respectful during the service, although I do realize there is a certain irony to this. I've always felt that you should behave respectful in a church/mosque/synagogue as even if you don't believe the same thing, faith or beliefs can be an important thing to people and you should treat their beliefs and place of worship with respect. Now I definitely agree though that at certain formal occasions like funerals, weddings, and other such events that you should suit up. But as for church it's not a stickler for me :)
  10. I have to go with the pairing of two of my favourite actors, Sean Connery and Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the last crusade. I'm a huge indy fan and just love that pairing. A close second would be Al Pacino and Robert Deniro in heat. They're really only in one scene together but it is an awesome movie.
  11. Blue has always been my favourite colour, and have to say the description matches my personality pretty well.
  12. I for one would favour visiting a SP over going to a club, especially since I am somewhat of a shy guy in public. I did some clubbing back in my univeristy days and can honestly say it just wasn't my scene. I much prefere the company of a few close friends than to go cruising at the bars. Also, as has been mentioned when you go to a club to pick up you can easily spend a lot of money and end up with nothing at the end of the night. When you visit a SP, especially a cerb member, you know that you can look forward to a great time with a wonderful lady.
  13. I like Sophia because she has a crush on Beaker and has a great sense of humour! Kinda glad I chose Beaker as my avatar :)
  14. I have to second much of what porthos said. I'm not really sure how you ladies put up with some of this stuff. I for one would never think of negotiating rates with a lady because I realize that for many of you this may well be your sole income and your rates are what they are for reason. I am still relatively new to this world but I have to say from experience a cerb ladies company is worth every penny and than some :) I came to cerb through other sites and wouldn't dream of going back now. I love the positive, friendly, and informative community here. And also some of the stories from respected members here about non-cerb meetings is less than encouraging. What draws me to a particular lady is reading the reviews of ladies from members I know, reading the ladies posts so I can get a feeling for their personality, and looking at their profiles/websites for more info and pics. It's not just one thing that would make me decide who to visit so even if I saw a bad reco of lady I'd attribute that more so to that particular gentleman, especially if all the other reviews were positive and I enjoy reading her posts.
  15. Another gem of a movie that I've seen recently is The Super Inframan! It's not a direct to DVD movie, it's a Hong Kong movie inspired by 1970's japanese TV. To say that it is interesting would be an understatement. The best way to describe this movie is a 1970's version of the power rangers except way more cheesier and completely ridiculous at points. Here is a link to the trailer if anybody is curious
  16. Congratulations Porthos on reaching God Status! Looking forward to reading many more posts from you :)
  17. I like mrnice2 because his posts are always positive and I enjoy reading them. I also like him because he's also in the hockey playoff pool :)
