  1. I like Sophia for starting the Ode to gentlemen thread. She is a real class act and I really enjoy reading her posts. Sometimes her posts are serious but other times there fun, but they are always worth a read :)
  2. House of the rising sun, great song btw, is one type of house. Another type of house is a.... Brick House - The Commodores
  3. My opinion is be proud of who you are. Regardless of gender, race, or sexuality, were all people in the end and we each deserve to be treated with respect. It takes a lot of courage to be open about something like that. When I was younger I'll admit that I was a lot more judgemental than I am now but I guess one of the benefits of university was that I met a lot of different people with a lot of different backgrounds. I met people from many different lands, with different religions, and even different sexualities than my own. And it teaches you to look beyond the colour of their skin, the god they worship, or whether they sleep with the same sex or opposite sex, and just see the person they are and who knows you might end up making a great friend in the end. And so I say with great enthusiasm welcome to Cerb :)
  4. The kids in the hall are an awesome Canadian comedy troupe. Probably one of the most famous comedy troupes though is Monty Pythons Flying Circus. And of course who can forget the lumberjack song, lol
  5. I can sympathize with the whole allergy thing. At one point I was on shots for my allergies and I would say that they definitely helped. I used to be allergic to pretty much everything, and now well I still get affected by certain things but not nearly too the same degree. If you can you might want to talk to your doctor about shots. As for the headaches I find that drinking water, staying away from caffeine, laying down and sometimes an ice pack will do the trick. I hate taking meds unless I absolutely have to as well, but one med that I do find helps with allergy related headaches is sinus medication like sudafed. Now it's not good to take often but allergies and the sinus tend to go hand in hand so it might help.
  6. I personally think that bald women can be very attractive. Loopie beat me to Ripley but I'm gonna let my inner geek shine through and throw out Lt. Ilia from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Women wearing wigs can be attractive and fun too, but I would say in both cases it's the woman that makes the hair do. So I don't think being bald would stop me from seeing a particular woman.
  7. Happy Birthday Angela! Hope you have a great day :)
  8. Sorry to hear that theliquor, hope everything works out ok!
  9. Congrats RG! I always find your posts very insightful and looking forward to reading many more!

  13. Just found this thread and it's awesome :) Well there are a couple of things on my bucket and while I'll admit that most of the things on my lists aren't too exciting there things that I've always wanted to do. 1. I'd love to spend a season storm chasing tornado's in the south, or at least see one tornado in my lifetime but hopefully not under dire circumstances though. For some reason I've always found stuff like tornado's, hurricanes, and volcanoes interesting and would love to see them up close. I guess I have to add seeing a volcano now too, lol. 2. See AC/DC in concert, they're my favourite band so I got to go see them. 3. I've always wanted to visit London and Rome. Kind of a history geek so would love to see all the monuments and historical places. Especially would love to visit the Vatican in Rome and the Sistine Chapel. 4. Love movies but one thing I haven't been to yet is a drive-in movie. I just love the idea of jumping in the car and watching a movie outside. Especially great if they were playing some kind of cheesy 70's flick or horror movie. Doesn't hurt either that I hear it's a prime make out spot, lol. So who's up for a drive in movie? ;) 5. Not really a party animal but would love to see a Boxing or UFC match in Vegas. And while I was there I would probably have to visit the pawn shop from Pawnstars. 6. I would love to see a baseball game at an old time park like Fenway or Wrigley Field. 7. This one is kind of out of my control but would love to see the Senators win the cup. 8. And I guess for the finale would love to spend the week at a practically deserted beach or at least private beach in the Caribbean or somewhere tropical. Just basically enjoying the moment.
  14. Congratulations Sophia! Looking forward to the next 1000 posts :)
  15. Happy Birthday Porthos! Hope you have fun :)
  16. Guess I'll be paddling out to the middle of the St. Lawrence sooner than I thought, lol.
  17. I remember this video, awesome :) And as much as I would like to argue that it's not I really..really can't, lol.
