Very interesting article and many facts are in that article too. I think it is more applicable to high class hobbyists seeing high class escorts rather than hobbyists and sex workers in general. But many factual statements are in there kudos to OP for the thread. A concept which to my surprise is missing was a concept brought up by myself 2 years ago and that was to perceive my encounters with ladies I see (escorts and dancers alike) as DATE (Rendez Vous). This concept though reputed by many 2 years ago was also opposed by majority of SPs and hobbyists (majority of those who posted). That said, later some of very same hobbyists/SPs used the word "DATE" when describing their encounter or advertising. In my view absolutely as the article said it is a girlfriend experience and I perceive it as a DATE for which I am paying for the lady's time and companionship same as I used to 10 years ago when I was dating my GF and back then I was paying for lady's dinner and drinks and bar fee. The lady is a guest in my house and treated as a date and precious guest ( and we both have great time like dates or at least I do what I can to maximize the chances that she is having a great time) and I select my date too based on the looks first and reviews (services which I prefer safe GFEs and kissing is the only requirement) as a compatible date same as dating when I used to select my GF based on looks and compatibility. In summary I agree with the article findings. It is girl friend experience we are looking for (not sure about the not getting at home part) but rather I believe that I am not paying for sex but I am paying for date and my guest's time and companionship. This concept will be a torn in the eyes of those religious zealots and ultra conservative, extreme feminist elements in the current government who want to impose the psychology of seeing escorts perceived as violence against women and thereby make it illegal (the so called idiotic unsafe Nordic model).

That said I am as guilty as I also make Daty a requirement when I first contact the provider and some may not wish to provide that may feel pressured in doing so because they want my business. However, I could be wrong but I think unlike BBBJ most providers are okay with providing Daty (as per lower health risks associated with Daty, especially HIV) but still I may have come across a case or two when Daty was provided under pressure. I very much prefer if they tell me that they don't wish or prefer not to provide the service and I just move to another who may have no problem providing it and honestly I feel much better this way than the case when one may provide under pressure. I completely disagree on paying extra for any service, If the provider is concerned about health risks associated with BBBJ then she must not do it no matter what. You can't bribe the virus lol. Extra payments is not going to make the service less risky. So, I never pay extra for daty. As for BBBJ/CIM/PSE I will not partake even if the provider pays me lol as per my comment above. As my last comment, I think that providers (indies or those working for agencies) should not offer services that they don't feel comfortable no matter what. You still will get almost 2/3 of the business according to poll results. Hobbyists alike have the equal right to refuse those who decline services they desire as well. This way every one can find his or her match. My views for whatever it's worth.

To the OP: The communication standard is to look after our own health by not engaging in risky activities or risky individuals. You can reduce the risk by abstaining from bare services like BBBJ and PSE services (CIM, COB, Greek ......) and having protected FS, BJ, using latex condoms AND be picky on your SP of choice. If you wish to be ultra safe then abstain from kissing and Daty as well or use cover for daty too (not a choice I would make but again the choice is yours). All said, you can never eliminate the risk. Ultimately, what services one asks for or what activities one partakes is a personal choice and depends on the individual's risk tolerance level, mine happens to be very low and if yours is too, then you may find above standards useful in reducing the risks. The good: Yes I agree that BP is another resource for SPs to advertise and for us to find those SPs to our liking and there is a lot more variety on BP and new comers as well on a daily basis.
