Yes decided to drop by Barbs around 4:00 pm but it was very quiet then so I left for a while and came back at around 6:00 pm. If that is true (and again it is a speculation) then only those few votes should have been removed not all the 37+ votes. What we say is an issue of fairness. and as someone said the 37 votes could have gone to someone else and a totally different outcome may have resulted. So yes it is invalid now, however, Her removal without any apparent reason made Erotic Emily a winner in our hearts. Additional comments; Criterion for electing a service provider for most voters had been obviously qualitative rather than quantitative, that is THE QUALITY of the posts and time spent on cerb and NOT the Quantity. The Quality means POSITIVE contributions making cerb a better place to be rather than the opposite. I totally agree we must now stop speculations and unfounded accusations and kiss and make up.

Well she was allowed in because she was NOMINATED by not one but two members. One valued member (Cato) and one long time member (myself) and likely not by more because it was indicated that we should not nominate someone who has been nominated already. There is NO RULE as how long a member should be a member before she is nominated. On the second part of your paragraph as why she was removed (and she was removed as soon as she was placed in the lead by cerb voters), well, I haven't got the faintest idea and am very eager to learn of the reason too, if there is any, and yes a big AGREE.... yes any result is now invalid and yes it is an issue of fairness. Whatsup said it best lol. It is not about cash or free trip but the valued member banner is a token of appreciation by cerbites to the legitimately elected service provider or member.

Well said whatsup. I have the same feeling and my heart goes out to Emily and also sad to see the recent direction that cerb is going lately. I would like to have my old very fair and friendly cerb back please :(. Emily was nominated legitimately. She was voted on legitimately and put to lead legitimately and therefore in my view her removal without her consent was likely illegitimate since she did not break any current rules of members choice award to the best of my knowledge. I am sorry but there is no other way to say it. I also agree that the poll has lost its legitimacy and should be terminated and rescheduled with Erotic Emily's name ADDED to the list.

I am sadden to see Erotic Emily removed from the poll (likely upon her own request being treated the way she was!!). When a clear leading contender is removed from the poll, the poll or the real members choice loses it validity. At least in my eyes. Sad.... :(

Top or bottom of the poll, you still get The same salary as befire You still pay same ladies' rates you still have to obey the rules (cerb rules apply equally to newbie or valued member, remember this year valued members in both categories were suspended lol). The sun still rises from the east and sets in the west. So, there should not be any hard feelings for a process that was supposed to generate good feelings and appreciations. All the ladies and gents who are voted for are appreciated some a bit more than others based on individual's differing criteria.

The manner for which I decided for whom to vote was not the quantity of public posts but rather the quality of posts. By quality I mean how useful or informative the posts were (in public or private) and how much her or his posts made cerb a more joyful and friendlier place to be in 2011. And I voted for the top three in ladies and gents category (which means many of those that I didn't vote for still were friendly and great contributors but we all agree votes should be limited). These were my criteria for deciding whom to vote for. I always thought of this process as a fun good feel game when we get the chance to express our appreciation. In my wildest dream I could never imagine hurt feelings and I am sadden to see this happening. Personally it wouldn't make a difference to me. I was voted the runner up valued member last year and less than 10 votes this year. I am equally happy if not more for all those who got more votes than me and glad to see their contributions appreciated.

I just wish to extend my congratulations to all the great members in the running. Especially to the very well deserved members such as WIT, Old Dog and Roamingguy who are currently the top three leaders in the poll because of their great contributions to cerb over the past 12 months. The studies above appear to confirm my earlier statements in another thread that decriminalization of prostitution would lead to more trafficking (as criminals target easy targets) and more forced prostitution!! And more violence against sex workers and more lives in danger. And I gave Holland as an example in comparison to Sweden.
