Well...it hurt:(
Capital Hunter replied to Malika Fantasy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I am sorry but I beg to differ with Sara. Everytime that I have a lady guest I look at her (and treat her) as she really is. That is somebody's daughter and sister. She is A person with heart and mind who can feel (the happiness and sadness). She is not some object that I have rented for an hour to briing me joy. I do my best to make the joy mutual and if it is not then I can't have joy either. Whenever I see someone I prefer to know her the real person that she really is, rather than someone acting or hiding her true nature and that includes her beliefs too if she cares to share. As for OP I am sorry Malika that you had to go through this. Even though I am personaly not a religious person but I fully believe that people are free to believe and practice what they believe as long as they don't try to impose their beliefs upon others. -
I saw this article and thought may be related to this thread so decided to attach it below: TORONTO -- There are three certainties in the future of the landmark ruling on theprostitution laws in Ontario. By the end of this year, the Ontario Court of Appeal will either kill or uphold the trio of anti-prostitution laws: Pimping, communicating and keeping a common bawdy house or brothel. The next sure thing is the losing side -- either the attorneys general of Canada and Ontario or the sex trade workers who challenged the law -- will appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. And the third guaranteed element -- whether these laws perish, persist or morph into something new -- nothing will happen quickly. A five-day appeal of a lower court ruling which found the laws unconstitutional wrapped up last week at Osgoode Hall In Toronto. If the court issues its ruling as expected in late November or early December, the losers will seek leave -- ask permission to be heard -- at the Supreme Court. ANOTHER APPEAL Legal observers expect Canada's highest court will agree by the spring to hear the leave argument. By the fall of 2012, the Supreme Court of Canada will likely hear the charter case. There's no deadline for the judges to release their ruling, but they usually do so within a year, meaning it would come out in 2013. If the highest court of the land does kill the laws, the Crown has already asked for an 18-month stay to permit Parliament to react to the ruling. Federal Crown Michael Morris convinced the appeals court this time would be required to prevent a period of lawlessness or disorder. The charter-challenged laws would remain enforceable until the government either drafted new legislation shoring up weaknesses identified by the courts or introduced new laws. CRIMINALIZE JOHNS If the government elected to change the laws, it could follow the Swedish model and criminalize johns, or the politicians could criminalizeprostitution itself. Such a change would allow the government to kill any argument that current laws makes working conditions unsafe for someone in a "legal" job. In some countries, prostitution laws vary in different jurisdictions: Australia has different laws in each of its states or territories. The federal government could allow a bawdy house of one or two people. In the U.K., a bawdy house can have one woman working alone in her own house, but not two or more people My views: I, for one would be more than happy to see status quo continue (that is the OSC turns down Justice Susan Himel's decision) until the end of this government's mandate at least rather than risking the Swedish model imposed by this very right wing majority conservative government which in my view there is no way they are going to relax prostitution laws but rather use the Supreme court favorable decision as an excuse to totally ban it all together and use their majority to do so and therefore put more sex workers in greater danger ever by driving it underground and also the fact that many safe hobbyists will stop hobbying because of harsh punishments and disgrace associated with that system. My view anyways. I hope I am wrong.

Been Away for a while
Capital Hunter replied to PistolPete's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
My deepest condolences to you and your family, Pete. Our hearts go out to you and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult times. -
Not sure about being a little older but yes she is very sexy. I think she is about 30-35. I didn't see her this time though so not sure if she is stilll there. Playmate dancers are relatively a bit older compared to Barbs or Barefax. She has very sexy boobs/nipples (is that what you meant by heavy top?) and loves kissing (YMMV of course).
-
Reddog, it may be a good idea to try Playmates for old time sake. I think that wednesdays lunch time is best and also Friday afternoons/evenings,however if it is too crowded it may be hard to get the CR at the back and have complete privacy (the open ones in the middle are not private). Try dancers recommendated in various Playmate related threads like Jessica, Angelica, Amy, Danika..... http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30038&highlight=playmates All attractive and very openminded dancers. The atmosphere is also down to earth and friendly with always smiling waitresses and some patrons who know each other for years ....

Cato's Night Out, 2011 Edition
Capital Hunter replied to Cato's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Stripclubs & Dancers
Another great adventure thread by Cato. Thanks for sharing the experience.Makes me wanting to head out right now and have a similar exotic experience lol. -
Glad to hear that you had some quality time with this great young lady, Kubrickfan. I envy you my friend as I had to head to strip bar instead (I have my usual summer visitor, so I can't have guests at home lol) which was great too but nothing like the experience that you have described in your post with this great lady lol.
-
Yes having a summer visitor, I can't have guests at home (which explains why I have been so quiet on the board recently) and therefore the summer time strip bar season has started for me. Decided to head to Playmates. It was a very quiet afternoon. Started dances with Angelica. She is reviewed before. Sexy bum and soft skin and open minded dances summarizes her. Then as I was about to leave I saw Jessica (with glasses) walking in. Decided to order another pepsi and stay on. Took her to CR for the special full hour CR session. Jessica has been (enthusiastically) reviewed before so no need for repetition. I have had many great CR dances with Jessica but this one tops all past experiences. This very attractive pale tall slender brunette provided very open minded dances in the CR and she appeared enjoying it too. Once the CR with Jessica was over I was approached by Reegan whom I believe is a natural red head. I had dances with her too before heading home.

Thanks for this WIT. Another great contributing post. I voted to uphold court decision even though I believe the current laws are best however, out of solidarity I voted such. Also to oppose Harper lol.

Recommended Hotel in Ottawa
Capital Hunter replied to adonisboywolf's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Interesting thread as I will be receiving my usual summer visitor soon and therefore I will be in need of a hotel (to go myself or take my visitor for a few hours). Past two summers it was mostly Crown Plaza and Delta. I used Arc once and I think they have a habit of walking into the rooms (and I was with a girl at the time that someone kept on knocking on my door and continued knocking until I opened the door and then I was offered coplimentary bottle of water!!!!!!) as a few posters seems to have indicated in another thread. Besides they have relatively small rooms but at the same price as Delta and Crown Plaza. Delta and Crown Plaza were conveniently located as I could cross the street and visit Barbs after the date was over. Never liked (both at Crown Plaza and Delta) to be asked (almost always) as why I am leaving so early (usually check in time 5:00 pm and check out time 8:00pm). I think they have no right to question me as why I leave early when I pay the full night fee nevertherless my stays at both places were pleasant. I see that Albert at Bay comes first in this thread so this year I may switch to this one (hopefully they won't ask me why I am leaving so early). -
I agree with everyone that cash is the best gift (as it makes them really happy) but a small gift like a chocolate or a single rose or a bunch will go a long way too to make them happy (especially on the top of the cash gift). It doesn't have tobe anything expensive based on my experiences. On special occasions like Valetine's, and for that special lady, a diamond necklace (doesn't have to be expensive) makes them to remember you always :-) (everytime that they wear it and they last forever). I find that this particular gift makes them happy the most as they feel very special.

So, what good will come out of this lol !!!! In your earlier post you indicated a reasonable chance of success that the court challenge was a right thing to do and should continue as shown below: What will be the success?
-
I hope that you are right. There are in my view two possible issues with your comments. One is that government usually do what they wish and is their mandate. The conservative mandate is to make prostitution illegal no strings attached. They don't usually listen to the people (especially this government) and bear in mind that prostitution law is not really a vote changer. It is not a hot issue like abortion or economy. And second I think that there is a misconception about sex workers among general public. Some think of sex workers as drug addicts with mental or physical illnesses and who spread stds. It is regretful but is likely true. There is not going to be a public outrage if they make prostitution illegal. They may even gain some support. Again I hope that you are right. But I have to see the day in order to believe it, that this conservative government actually passes laws in the parliament to legalize or relax prostitution laws in Canada!!!!.
-
So,you believe that there is a reasonable chance that the current majority conservative government just elected would allow legalization of prostitution in Canada??.
-
If there was a reasonable chance that the fight would be resulting in legalization of prostitution I would have supported you. As i said there is no way that this most right wing government in Canadian history just elected as majority would allow legalization of all aspects of prostitution in Canada. On the contrary even a win (a favorable decision by OCA) would be counter productive and results in tougher laws and regrefully more sex workers fallingf victims in future. I seem like a broken record but I say it again, that I think a court challenge at this time will be couter-productive no matter which way it goes. I understand however, your passion but starting a fight when there is no chance of winning is like going on a suicide mission. There is no point or logic in trying to punch out an advancing tank in the battle field lol. We have to outsmart the backward government and think with our minds rather than emotions and not give them a chance to bury us for once and all.
-
My point exactly. The timing was not right when it was challenged and it is a lot worse now. I also think thompo is correct. A majority government can push through new laws very quickly if they wish so and not follow the norm. Did the same sex marriage took years to be introduced and voted on, in the parliament?. They said they put it to vote before the election and a few weeks after it was voted upon. Also prostitution laws are under Federal jurisdictions so I don't understand why municipalities have to approve or decide how best to implement them, but I am not a constitutional expert so I don't know!!. As i said the timing to challenge federal prostitution laws is not right. It should be dropped because if the OCA votes in favor of Himel's decision it will have unpredictable and most likely undesirable consequences for all of us. I hope OCA turns down the decision. At least this way the status quo will likely to remain in effect for a few years and then the law can be challenged again when we have a more progressive thinking government in place.
-
I hope that I am wrong but I think that if OCA upholds Himel's decision that may likely legalized some or all aspects of prostitution in Ontario and in this case the Federal govenment will move quickly to push tough new prostitution laws through the parliament. So it may be a matter of weeks rather than years for us to see those tough new laws inplace. This conservative government who is just given a majority mandate will NEVER allow legalization of all aspects of prostitution anywhere in Canada than a majority NDP would allow say Capital Punishment to be the law of the land lol. I repeat what I said that the status quo on prostitution is just fine. It is the best compromise between a total legalization and a total ban.

The Swedish model was taken up by a few other countries and I don't think that it took so many years for those other countries (Norway, iceland, ireland .....) to make it a law in their countries. I remember that the cons brought the same sex marriage issue to parliament (and fortunately it was voted down as they had a minority then) within a few months of taking office so why they can't do same with prostitution laws?, if OCA votes for it, no? They don't have to wait for supreme court decision, do they? Especially if OCA decision makes prostitution legal in Ontario (not sure if it will as I am not a constitution expert) they will move fast and do anything to reverse it as soon as they can. The fact that nobody seems to have been jailed sofar doesn't mean that will never happen (it is simply up to the judge and hence luck) but making it criminal (record) is bad enough as the victim will be disqualified for many jobs if not all not to mention that he will lose his present job and likely family too as I believe the Nordic system also makes it mandatory to disclose the names. The fact is that punishment is too severe for many to risk with or without jail terms. We have to make sure this unfair backward model will never spread to Canada. Minimizing the impact of it however, likely doesn't help with that. It is good however to argue that the Nordic system has not worked as it may persuade a few con MPs with some brains to vote against it.
-
In 2007 we also had a Harper minority govenment but yes at that time a majority was not in sight. I would lauch a fight and continue the fight on anything when there is a reasonable chance of winning. I see no chances of that now over the next 4 to 5 years. The best outcome is to (possibly) win temporarily but only to lose bad shortly after. I don't think it would take more than 4 to 5 years for the supreme court to make a decision on this challenge. Besides as I said I don't agree with some parts of what has been challenged and I am a hobbyist myself so what do you think that the general public would think about what has been challenged lol.
-
Yes WIT I understand the first two points (though I disagree with legalization of public solicitation for many reasons and I also disagree with legalization of living off the avails when it extends to managers and agencies, just for drivers and bodyguards and family members should be legalized) but I genuinely believe that the timing was not right for that challenge. I believe that if they suceed we will have new laws which will jeopardize the safety of sex workers much more. The tiiming for the court challenge was not right because we had a federal conservative government who openly opposed prostitution (and prostitution laws are under federal jurisdiction not provincial) and at the time all polls were pointing to another conservative government tobe re-elected (the question was a majority or minority). Now if the superior court rule in their favor then we will all be likely paying a heavy price for their action. They should drop it now if they can when we have a backward conservative majority government. The chances for above three points becoming legal for long before new tough federal laws passes the parliament (if the superior court votes in their favor) is nill. However, the chances for a much tougher laws on prostitution (if they win) is almost certain. In summary it is now a NO-WIN situation now lol.
-
Yes I agree with above statement. I also think that the court challenge was a big mistake and short sighted. It may likely open up a big can of worms. If the supreme court rules in favor of them, I believe we will see that the newly elected conservative govenment will take advantage of its majority and bring new laws that would ban all forms of prostitution altogether. Otherwise they may not bother to go through the hassels of the issue. I personaly believe that the status quo though not perfect but is the best we can have under present circumstances. I don't know why they did what they did (the court challenge). It was short sighted to say the least, in my view.
