How about the re-boot option. Turn off your computer completely and let it reboot. Then download the anti-defense centre software and remove the virus (and likely your laptop will be re-booted again).

A very similar scenario happened to me over the weekend Cindy. I got almost exact same fake warning messages as you. This is most likely a scam. Don't be alarmed. I started doing some research and found out about this scam. The one who is sending you these fake warnings and probably wanting to sell you their piece of junk software to combat the non-existance virus. Mine was security master AV and if you do research there are plenty about their vicious tactics to sell their junk software by tricking us into believing that we are under attack (I even got messages warning me of identity theft attempts on my laptop). After some research I found the STOPzilla that I loaded and removed this virus from my laptop and now everything is fine with my laptop. It cost me $40, but it worth it (I think I bought a one year protection). Hi mistert: You may be right as I left around 8 pm but later they may have started checking CRs. I was at Pigale last year on two occasions in the evenings and in those evenings (both Saturday nights) in cases that I took ladies to CRs I didn't notice anyone checking CRs (and the ladies were mostly delivering liberal dances without any concern for anyone walking in), but it may have been just coincidents so again you may be correct.

Yes you likely did the right thing and I would also applaud you for your action, something that I can not do myself unfortunately. I quite agree with this statement that most dancers prefer the term dancer to stripper. In those 12-15 years that I used to frequent SCs in both Ottawa and Montreal I made friends with a large number of dancers and always called them dancers and never heard any objection to the term used. Since I never called anyone a stripper so I can't know how the reaction would have been to this term.
