Sad news, if true. Barbs was one of my favorite bars when I used to visit SCs on a regular basis a for many years. I hope that it is just rumor. Who were those arrested ?, I mean the patrons or the girls who were working there?? If anyone has any updated info please PM me. I haven't been to SCs on a regular basis recently but used to frequent strip bars two three times a week (it is like an addiction) from 1994 to 2007 (both Montreal where I used to live and Ottawa). What you described happened to me too, on occasions during those years. This one did not happen very frequently (may be once every couple of years or so). With the regular dancers whom I knew well, it was different. Some used to give me their phone numbers (less than 5% of the ones I knew well, without me asking first) or asking for a dinner date (hey may be we should have a dinner sometimes). The few that I never forget are as follows: 1-when, one of the girls at club 77 asked me to take her and her girlfriend to (used to be called) Hot Shots:shock: (which of course I said no way in hell). 2 - In another case in the old Fanny's downtown, the lady came to me acting all panicked and saying that there has been an emergency with one of her kids and asking me to give her a ride home right away. Unlike Montreal, here in Ottawa, our dancers are allowed to take off the panties and this is great. Again the mileage depends on all above mentioned qualities of the person but also how well the dancer knows you and for how many songs you keep her in the room (mileage increases with more dances).

Decided to switch to strip bars today. first tried Taboo. very quiet and not much to say. Then drove to my used to be most favorite SC, Barbs. It was quite live around 3:00 pm. The old D.J. is back and the staff have learned to greet the returning customers and act friendly. There is however, a few things that strip bars can do to lured back their customers to their clubs: 1 - Reduce the price for (not so) private dance which lasts only 3-4 minutes from $20 to $10 (back to earlier days, in 2001). The reason is that dances are not private anymore and many of us (former SC customers) have discovered escorts who are available abundantly and many with web sites and pictures as opposed to a decade ago when the Sun or Citizen was the only source (with no pictures) not to mention the great review boards that we now have such as cerb where facilitates communications with so many fine SPs (the album, PMs, contact info). Not to mention that we are going through a period of slow economic growth and many will cut back on entertainment rather than food and accommodation. We have seen prices for escorts has come down recently (on CL) so why not for dancers? I sincerely believe that this will be a win-win-win situation as the girls will make more money as they will receive a lot more dance requets, the bar will attract more customers and the customers will leave the SCs satisfied for what they get for their money and will return soon. 2 - Put pressure on the City or hire skilled lawyers to reverse the backward decision that was made regarding the open concept Champaign room. This is Canada, not a bonana republic in ME where govenments impose their moral standards upon their people. 3 - I was exhausted by unsolicited dancers who used to come to my table uninvited and taking a polite NO as insult or giving unfriendly looks. I know a large number of girls in every strip bar and when I go to these bars, I would like to spend my hard earned money on those that I like the most. 4 - Provide friendlier services by dancers and waitresses alike and less checks by bouncers in the champaign rooms (especially in the evenings). It is supposed to be a private dance. The one advantage with strip bars is that I can spend the dollars on several girls rather than just one (not so intimate though). Also it is great to watch all those beautiful naked angels on stage while drinking and take the ladies of your choice to the champaign room for a more intimate time (provided one is not constantly interrupted by uninvited dancers).

This is a great poll. It helps many SPs to decide whether to offer outcalls only (as some do) or incalls only (hopefully not because I won't be able to take them no matter how much I may want to) or both. The percentages don't add up to 100 though!!!!!. I only take outcalls to my private residence which I believe is the only totally legal course of action (outcalls to a hotel may be legal too, assuming that a rented room in a hotel is not considered a public place by law).
