I have read most of the responses to this thread. As a long time hobbiest, I am very surprised that anyone would balk at paying up front. As soon as I walk in the door, I greet the SP and then politely hand her the stipend. I may be in the minority, but I tend to repeat with a small number of sp's and rarely request special attire, nor do I have a planned menu in mind. I go with the flow, hope we both have a mutually enjoyable time and then depart. When I have visited someone for the first (and possibly ) only time, it is paramount to establish some form of trust. That trust is me handing over the money without being asked, being well groomed, freshly showered and respectful. I can count the number of times on one hand where I have had a less than satisfactory visit. I hope the ladies would feel the same way.

take a look at photos, find a few that appeal to you. Do some research or call the lady directly to see if there is a connection. Don't waste their time, but don't be afraid to ask if they are willing to provide the service you are looking for. Then...pull the trigger, take the plunge and hopefully you will feel good about yourself again.

SO found a text from sp in phone that was not deleted. Shit hit the fan. 2 years of ugliness. Lost some friends, spent lots of money and basically started over. Fortunately I have a great business, great friends who stood by and did not judge and am back on track financially. I know there may be lots of people who would not be able to afford what I went through and get back on their feet financially again. That is what I was referring to when I asked if it was worth it. Sorry, I meant to address the divorce scenario and not wanting to start over you discuss in paragraph 4. Clearly you are correct in asserting that only you can determine your happiness. I meant to say that if your significant other finds out about your double life, divorce and starting over is a strong possibility. In that regard, I speak from experience. I understand the choices we are all make on CERB and I would never judge anyone else or the decisions they make in their lives.

to 6dave9, I understand your need to find an emotional connection elsewhere as you are not getting that at home. We all crave affection and there is no shame in that. My question to you is this: If you get caught, will your wife divorce You? If the answer is yes, then you will likely lose much of what you say you have worked so hard for. Your friends and family I am sure will be told what you have done and that is where the shame will come. Will you be able to look your kids in the eyes? If they are young, they will not understand. As they get older, they may come to realize that you were living in a loveless relationship and come to terms with what you did. Ultimately, is this worth it? Only you know the answer to that question.

Good question, with many possible reactions and response. From a truly business perspective, the market will tell you what you can charge. There are many factors that could dictate this. If the SP is gorgeous, she may be able to charge more and offer less services. If what she does in fact offer is outstanding, that may more than compensate for what she does not offer. A client however, may want the "whole package" and choose to look elsewhere to find what he is looking for. At the end of the day, the provider must be comfortable in what he or she offers, and those that see her will either appreciate this fact, or move on.

I understand that Cerb does not accept the posting of negative reviews. I understand the logic behind this, however, I wonder how one goes about posting a lukewarm review. During my brief time as a member of Cerb, there appears to be an unwritten rule that if there are little or no reviews, then what one can assume is that there was little if anything positive to say about the provider in question. As many use this forum to help them decide who to see, is there a way to offer a little more insight than currently exists. I am not trying to stir the pot, but merely see if there is an alternative to what currently exists. I can say from personal experience, that I was asked by a provider that I had seen to post a review. She was obviously looking for an endorsement. Unfortunately, I did not feel the visit warranted a positive review, and therefore did not post. In a sense I felt like I was doing a disservice to others who may be thinking about seeing the same provider. Did my silence infer anything one way or the other. I am curious what people have to say. I would like to add that the 2 individuals on my friends page ARE NOT the provider in question.

I can see why some SP's might be reluctant to share information that they have had to learn on their own or through the school of hard knocks, but I am a firm believer in mentoring programs in all professions. We can share valuable information and life lessons based on our previous mistakes and we can share the knowledge that we have garnered as we grow and mature into our chosen profession(s). To me, as long as the individual we are helping out is respectful and appreciative of the advice we are sharing and the time we are giving, then that is all I would ask and expect in return.

I would take the comment with a grain of salt. People tease me all the time that I don't have a real job. What I do have is the flexibility to work when I want, take as many holidays as I want and work as hard as I want without anyone looking over my shoulder and telling me what I should or should not do.
