Thanks for posting this, I was wondering if there were any updates. So, what's the deadline for the Supreme Court to decide if they'll hear the government's appeal?

The downtown core has a great selection of up-scale hotels. You'll get some variation in the opinions on where is best to stay (downtown, west, etc...). Myself, I've noticed most ladies who visit Ottawa stay downtown. Perhaps you can get some hotel recommendations from Ottawa ladies...

I would think that if you say upfront that you're new to this, shouldn't be an issue. Just follow the rules and have fun :D

Very unfortunate, the thought of giving out a location has never, and will never, cross my mind.

I recall some time ago reading some recommendations that were pretty basic (can't remember the ladies). The went like : "Location was discreet/clean/easy to find, she was very friendly, will repeat". Would this be considered lukewarm? Compared to some get 5-6 paragraphs with lots of detail, one could say so.

Agreed, the resistance would stem from the separation and independence of the judciary (court system) from the legislative/executive power (government), a pillar of Western democracy.
