I want to make these noises every where I go now! *pew pew boom* Thanks for making me laugh with that conversation. I really agree with what Sandi's reply. In addition to that and what everyone else had said, policing agencies look at all kinds of sites to help in their investigations including your personal social media sites (if you have any) in the event you are part of an investigation. So unless you are doing something wrong, then you really don't have anything to worry about. In the meantime, relax and have some fun ;)

What music are you listening to right now?
kerrixoxo replied to Meaghan McLeod's topic in Fun Threads
I love that song! I am listening to The Lincoln Lawyer Soundtrack -- a mixture of genres which I like very much! -
This is disheartening to read. I just don't see how they could have been aware of that information that he participated in the survey unless he told his lawyer. His lawyer, of all people, should realize the necessity for confidentiality. This would make this difficult for any research done and participants worried about any consequences.

Gifts and etiquette
kerrixoxo replied to Fresh start's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It really depends on the client. If he doesn't drink, then I don't expect him to bring over a bottle of wine. I don't really expect anything in addition to the date/experience. I list gift cards on my site (Chapters, Starbucks, Victoria Secret) because I like books, coffee, and lingerie! Coffee serves a greater purpose for me in terms of my studying. I do like it when a client brings over a coffee (if he asks) for an AM/afternoon date but if he doesn't drink coffee I don't expect him to make that purchase. I don't necessarily have a "wish list." If a client does insist on bringing over a gift, I refer him to my blog post on gift ideas which include donations to a number of charities I support and it is up to him to make that choice if he prefers. When a client does offer to do little things like bring over a coffee or wine to share (or chocolate--I had chocolate covered strawberries once as a surprise), it is greatly appreciated. It is not, however, expected. -

The dark side of prostitution
kerrixoxo replied to a topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
The problem isn't the trade or prostitution. The problem is exploitation, luring, kidnapping, theft, violence, etc. all of which we already have sections to deal with in the criminal code. It is just another way to enforce gender norms and societal expectations regarding sexual behaviors. The social problem of trafficking has been around for centuries and it is just another way for governments to say they are anti-sex work or anti-immigration without saying it. At the time of colonization of Canada the problem was "white women in traffic." Yet, at the time, the government was luring white women with advertisements to come over to Canada to form relationships with settlers. Now the main concern is racialized women or Indigenous women. A hundred years from now, I wonder what this so-called problem will look like. There is literally millions of dollars poured into NGOs/non-profits/research that is being used to suggest there is a problem when in reality the problem is, like I said above, exploitation, luring, kidnapping, theft, violence, etc. all of which we already have sections to deal with in the criminal code--just as Miquelon mentioned. -
Welcome Jessy! :)

Escort fears creep's extortion bid would ruin her dreams of being doctor
kerrixoxo replied to Luckyme's topic in In the news
It wouldn't be worth it to file a claim against someone who lives with their mother (probably no tangible assets/income) for that amount in a different province (legal fees would probably be more than what would be sought after and have to find someone who practices in that province or find someone who is in Ontario who can file a claim in that province). I do agree with what lucky me and fortunateone had said about the income/rates: completely not necessary and it makes it look like she was trying to extort him :( -
Hello Ottawa, I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely visit. While the snow made it quite chilly, the warm welcome made it well worth it. It was great to finally become more acquainted with you! Have a great Thursday and coming weekend. Until we meet again, Kerri xo
