  1. That scenario would definitely be disappointing or even a little uncomfortable, but though it's your choice to leave early and not repeat--and I can see why you would--my thinking is once a session begins and the donation is made, it shouldn't be taken back. Everyone goes into an encounter or meeting someone new with certain hopes, and it's reasonable to expect a person to be drug free, but that's a risk taken, and taking any of the donation back because an encounter didn't progress as expected seems a slippery slope to me. I guess I just think the onus of risk when meeting someone new is on the gent. It's one thing if you turn around at the door due to a bait and switch. But if the encounter has already progressed, then all you can do is know not to repeat.
  2. Thanks for the responses all, that helped (and yes, you were all very gentle). Thanks RG and I think I see what you're saying, but from what I've read of the bill this doesn't seem to be quite the case. The purchase of sex will indeed become illegal, but the sale of it will not be, at least in the case of an independent lady advertising her own services. There's a specific exemption that says no one will be prosecuted for "an advertisement of their own sexual services." That's why I was confused about why ladies would have to change their websites. I do get the idea that ladies making changes to 'companionship only' and such do protect clients. Though I wouldn't think someone would have to be too concerned talking with known and reputable ladies any more in the future than someone would be now who arranges an incall which is technically illegal. But yes, I can see how it might make a gent more comfortable and protected to make contact knowing they aren't technically asking for anything illegal. And not being to advertise or even be a member on places like Cerb (I do remember reading that now that you remind me) certainly make a compelling case to make the change. Thanks again all for the helpful responses.
  3. I'm a little nervous to ask this question in case I'm missing something obvious, so if I am please be gentle, but... I'm wondering what the rationale is for so many independent providers to switch to only talking about "companionship only", etc and not mentioning sexual services if that's what they're used to. Don't get me wrong, those that have always preferred to stay away from such things have every right to do so, and others in this thread have pointed out why many even prefer that approach. But I feel like I'm missing what part of the bill makes it a problem for an independent provider who is accustomed or does prefers to list/discuss services from continuing to do so. My understanding of the bill was that there is an exemption that allows an independent lady to advertise their own sexual services. I get why the wording of the bill may be problematic for agencies, but as I say, I'm hoping someone could explain for me what in the bill makes it a problem for independent ladies to continue as they've done? (if they so wish) Thanks. :)
  4. Lots of thoughtful responses here, it's been an interesting thread. I am curious about the point that it is because women don't have as much money as men. Not that I'm disagreeing we still live in a society where men tend to be paid more, but wouldn't male for female escorts be likely to charge less if that was the main reason? I mean, if there was a large customer base of women that would seek a male escort if only they could afford it, wouldn't male escorts just be forced to set their rates accordingly? I'd think so, which makes me suspect it's more the other reasons that have been offered. Just a thought. Apologies if my ignorance is showing.
  5. The answer to that one is easy: Yes.
  6. That's an interesting point. I definitely agree it makes sense to generally confirm ahead of time, and from my experience that seems to be pretty common (and I tend to be someone who arranges things at least a week in advance, so a follow-up confirmation a little before makes sense). Luckily it's never happened to me, but I have to admit if I sent the confirmation text as requested and didn't get one back, I'd probably still try my luck and show up (assuming I'd already been given the address of course). As you say, I'd do so knowing it's possible there may be no answer, but I guess I'd figure the most likely reason for not hearing back was that the lady's phone had simply died. Seems like a pity for everything to go down the drain due to a dead battery. But now you have me thinking maybe I'm wrong, and should assume that no text back means everything is off for some reason or another (which hopefully would get cleared up afterwards).
  7. Google imaged one of the pics and it came up as pornstar Bella French...
  8. Brad

Phew! Gotta say this whole album is terrific. Beautiful!
  9. I'm pretty sure if I tried that scenario I'd find myself making a rather quick and miraculous recovery! After all, there's been a lot of scams and snake oils throughout history that claim to cure everything, but in my experience nothing can make ya feel better regardless of what ails you quite like boobies! :)
  10. Hi FunAdventures, One thing you may want to do is take a look at many of the websites other ladies have up. Each person has their own rules but you'll get a good idea of the range of methods people employ. "No blocked numbers" seems to be the most common three words you'll ever see on an ad. Some ladies will only meet with a guy if he can provide her with references from other ladies he has already seen. Others require a gent to provide his real name and occupation first. Others just require to be able to talk on the phone first or even just message so they can get a sense of the person and use their intuition. I don't think I'm revealing any secrets here since these are all things you'll see publicly on different websites and ads, but at the end of the day you get to decide which rules make you feel safe, and don't feel like you have to back down if anyone pushes back against them.
  11. I can appreciate the sentiment Lady Sophia, and it's generous of you to give someone the benefit of the doubt. It's possible the person is completely complicit, and yes, it's certainly possible their situation is more complex than that. Either way, however, it may be that the only way to help protect other people from being victimized by the scam is by sharing the information of who did the scamming. It's why, unfortunately, there is a warning section to the forums after all.
  12. I like that stores remake themselves with the signage and decorations of different holidays, because it can help get me in the mood of the season and it feels like a shared experience when it's everywhere you look. And yes, sometimes it prompts me to throw up a few Halloween or Christmas decorations of my own. What I don't like is that stores start it waaaay too far in advance. I don't want retailers to be trying to get me into the Christmas spirit when it's not even Remembrance Day, or even Halloween! When everything is done up for a few weeks that feels special and fun. A months' long push...that just feels tiring and greedy.
  13. Hey BadTraveller, a few of us have written recommendations for Ava: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=193314
  14. Not sure if this belongs in this thread but I had a bit of a funny story about sti testing today (I know, "funny" and "sti testing" don't usually go together). Well, I think it's a good idea for everyone--hobbyists included--to get tested, and it had been a while for me so last week I finally popped over to one of the clinics and took care of it. Today I called in to get my results. Everything was going fine with the nurse rolling down the results one by one, telling me each time that it was negative. But then at the end she stumbled...paused...and then blurts out "oh, you got hepatitis". As you can guess I was a little shocked and didn't know what to say. So you can imagine my relief when she added "er...what I mean is you got hepatitis tested for...I'd missed that...not that you have it." And then after another pause she belatedly added "that was negative too". Phew. So yeah...I guess my message is it's important to get tested...but also make sure the nurse has finished her sentence before you freak out. :)
  15. I haven't but if you look through the recommendation section you'll find quite a few for different ladies from MGF. Here's just the first two I stumbled across at a glance: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=138242 http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=161032 Actually, doing a search, there's even a thread for Jennifer: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=119006&highlight=jennifer
