The road not taken

What if I had never taken that job in the US so many years ago. It would have meant that my approach to many aspects of life - culture, society, the role of government, economic opportunities, etc - would have lacked the perspective that comes from that experience. Happy I did it, but even happier to be back in Canada! -
In the spirit of the upcoming US presidential election, I'd like to share one of the most memorable exchanges between a candidate and supporter. For me, it sums up beautifully and painfully the challenges of running for the job of leader of the free world: Supporter of Adlai Stevenson: "Senator, you have the vote of every thinking person." Senator Stevenson: "That's not enough, madam, we need a majority."

Keeping it real

I'm in pretty much in the exact same situation as you - I've had one wonderful experience with an escort back in June and have arranged for another rendezvous later in September. I've spent some time on both CERB and Twitter communicating with a number of other wonderful escorts and hobbyists. I enjoy the discussions/interactions I have had so far, but also worry about the time I'm investing in this activity. I think the key will be to find the right balance between this new aspect of life and the other things that are important to you. That's certainly what I am trying to strive for. I appreciate both the things I have (a great job and loving family) and the excitement and anticipation of meeting some of the beautiful ladies on CERB. An additional unanticipated pleasure is interacting a bit more with other hobbyists around shared experiences. All in all, I'm finding it a wonderful addition to my life that I'm sure will be seamlessly integrated into my other pursuits with time and experience. -
@gentlemanprof - I like posting 140 character commentary on a wide range of topics, usually with links to media stories. I also enjoy following and responding to the adventures of a number of CERBites. Nice to be part of a community - even virtually.

How did you decide on your CERB name
gentlemanprof replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Mine is relatively transparent: I like to think of myself as a gentleman (and am looking forward to demonstrating this to my new CERB friends) and I am an academic... -
Sex between a man and a woman can be absolutely wonderful - provided you get between the right man and the right woman.

1) I just recently moved back to Canada after many years abroad - it feels good deep down to be home. 2) I have a Ph.D. in neuroscience - ask me anything about brains! 3) I never left school - have a great job as a university professor. 4) I try to exercise regularly and feel guilty when I don't. 5) I love modern interior design and architecture - hope to build a small, modern home in the next 5 years. 6) I get frustrated when colleagues say or do things that lack common sense. Academics love to argue and they are typically good at it. Luckily, as they say - the arguments get so heated at universities, because the stakes are so low! 7) I am a new hobbiest. I very much enjoy this new aspect of my life, however, I'm not sure I like this term. Alternatives?
