That's brutal, I'm sorry. I've had the reverse, with patrons trying to approach me when I'm out in the wild. Once I was out for lunch with a non-dancer coworker, so that was fun to explain. What happens in the club, should stay in the club.

Sort of. I worked two Saturdays ago and heard a few more modern songs (Kings of Leon) but it was mostly 90s and older.

This is the best reason to ask for a dancer's contact information, so don't be shy if you want to see a certain dancer again! I'd say the vast majority of dancers would be more than happy to let you know when they'll be in the club next. If she's not comfortable sharing her number, there's always email. I default to email since some gentlemen aren't comfortable sharing numbers, and emails are a bit more discreet.

I've worked at the club on my actual birthday once or twice. I've never been one to make a big deal of my birthday or to take it off while working in any other industry, so if it happened to fall on a day that I would normally be at the club, I went in. The last time I worked on my birthday, one of the dancers who is a close friend passed around a card for other dancers and staff I was close to to sign. She also told some customers about it, which of course lead to some birthday shots. Some of my regulars remembered my birthday from previous years and came in to see me, which I thought was quite sweet. All in all, it was a pretty enjoyable birthday in the club -- and then I went off and celebrated with friends and family after. As for customer birthdays, I've given cards to some gentlemen who I have gotten quite close to, though never gifts.
