Seeking legal advice
MisterMike replied to Greenly's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
In the USA it's the ability to prove that the intent is to have sex for money that gets you in trouble. Two consenting adults are free to get together to do whatever. People are free to have sex. People are free to give each other money Just not both. -
Ridiculous! There is field hockey, table hockey and horse hockey too. The are West Indians, North American Indians, etc.

As a Canadian living in the US I find this scenario interesting to say the least and it should generate a great deal of discussion in my Canadian Studies classes after the Christmas break. This message board has given me another perspective and I'm going to use some of your comments/arguments in my lectures. I have always thought that Canada's position has been very enlightened and reasonable. People who wish to pay for sexual relief should be able to do so as long as the sellers do so of their own free will, are of sound mind and are of legal age. Yes it appears to be a victory but there may be repercussions that many of you will not like. Adopting the "Nordic Model" will assuredly drive away clients and negate any perceived gains. Busting "Johns" here in the US has been very effective in enforcing anti-prostitution laws in some jurisdictions. Any new Canadian or provincial legislation that may be considered by some to be "unconstitutional" will still require court challenges which will take years and cost a lot of $$$$$. The lawyers must be salivating heavily at the thought. In my opinion the current status quo seems to be reasonable so why draw attention to something that many people probably don't think about too much but will not condone if given a chance to express their opinion. Remember the old adage: "Be careful what you wish for....." Frankly I think this decision opens up a whole can of worms to public scrutiny and attention when it may have been better off that way it is now. I don't intend ro rain on anyone's parade but these are my thoughts. I would hope that your government has better things to worry about. Regardless, at this juncture there's no going back. The die is cast. We can only wait and see how it plays out and hope for the best. Happy Holidays everyone. Mister Mike

I cannot see anyone in their right mind participating in unprotected sex these days for,any reason except with a spouse or long-standing partner. Quite honestly I have been very reluctant to experience an encounter with a SP even using a condom for fear of contracting something of this nature. I am totally certain my wife would not be understanding. I mean no offense to anyone on here and I do not infer that I think anyone's infected but this issue still presents a psychological barrier to me being an active participant at this point in time as much as I may wish to indulge.

It's a sad commentary that this post is even necessary. Give us a break! This is as disgusting a practice as I could imagine. You don't REALLY do this, do you? Geez! MisterMike

Discreet On Arrival

I disagree. It has nothing to do with the big head or the little head. It's all about stupid, ignorance, thoughtlessness and lack of respect. And these attributes are not gender specific. -
What's the longest you went without internet?
MisterMike replied to Bick's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
40 years! I was given my first access in 1986. It was an academic account and very hard to get. No one except administrators had access from their home. 1200 baud was considered fast. Compared to today's Web browser and high-speed access it was primitive and difficult to use. We had to learn several important unix commands. Everything was done at the command prompt which was >. There were programs like telnet, pine, trn and other things that are all pretty much replaced by the Web today. Even this forum is a modern adaptation of usenet. However in the context of the original query I would say I have not been without net access involuntarily for more than a day or two at the most. -
Well, if anyone really cares I bought a two year-old iMac at the M.I.T. Flea in Cambridge MA for $175.00 as well as a couple of bags of groceries at the Market Basket in Londonderry NH on the way home.

Questions to SP/MA, real life?
MisterMike replied to Frank7's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Well said! When two people get together for an intimate "encounter" all that should matter is the time spent together. It's a fantasy. Don't spoil it with reality! -
Is Age Just a Number?
MisterMike replied to mrrnice2's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Age expressed in years is meaningless if you are in good health. I am still in regular contact with guys I first met in a hobby back in the 'Sixties and 'Seventies. We make it a point to get together twice a year (which is, coincidentally next weekend.) We rent a beautiful fairgrounds in New Hampshire and have a grand party for two days with three thousand of our closest friends. Most of us are in our fifties and sixties. We have come to the conclusion that sixty is now what forty used to be years ago. The aging process is very much on our minds. The only "magic number" that need concern us is 65 which is when one becomes eligible for Canada/Quebec Pension, OAS, or Social Security/Medicare in the US. However, all this notwithstanding, IMHO, if you still can perform sexually and cause a lady to squeal with delight as she pops her cork you are not old. -
Help...vegetarians who eat fish
MisterMike replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This is a favourite of mine. Many recipes on the Internet. Search on "steam salmon black beans". Here's one: http://www.lifestylefood.com.au/recipes/3624/steamed-salmon-with-black-bean-sauce Make sure to thoroughly rince the black beans as they are very salty. I don't cook the sauce in a wok; I coat the salmon filets with it and steam everything together in a Pyrex pie plate. Enjoy! -
First time experience with SP's stories
MisterMike replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This was in 1968. I was in East Germany doing some academic work in Dresden. I spent the day in a symposium and made friends with a guy from Czechoslovakia who was teaching there and knew his way around. He knew a place that was frequented by young ladies from all over Eastern Europe who were students and happy to meet guys from the West especially those who had U S dollars to spend. A $20 dollar bill was considered a very nice honorarium for the whole night. I had never considered paying before as I was doing alright on my own but here I was in East Germany and it wassooooo easy to score without worrying about getting into trouble with the PoPo which was a very bad thing to happen especially in that part of the world. I met an especially fine 19 year-old redhead named Margit from Hungary who studying economics. "Wollen Sie schlaffen mit mir?" Her German was pretty good and she was as hot a babe in the sack as I've ever met. We had a nice time together and it was the best $20 I ever spent. We had several rounds of uncovered sex which she was really into and I remember she used a bottle of carbonated water to douche herself out. "Keine kinder" (no children) she laughed every time. I invited her to accompany me to the beach on the Baltic for the weekend and all we did for three days is do each other. She was delighted with the $50.00 I slipped her on the way home. Was she an "SP"? Technically she was. Many young women students were "providers" while attending school especially away from home and family. I often wondered what happened to her. That was my first time when I actually paid a chick to bink and squee with me. But I have yet to experience an SP in North America but hope to do so very soon. -
Since you asked, biggest turn-on for me is a natural redhead with big blue eyes, pink nips, long shapely legs and nicely trimmed kitty fur.

I don't care for "Lost Wages" at all. I have no interest in casinos, gambing or shows. It is the worst that the USA has to offer; plastic and phony-baloney. Everyone's "on the make and take." Very expensive and rip-offs galore. "Hobbying" is illegal in Clark County (Vegas). It's a by-county option in NV. I've been there a few times for conferences only because it was beneficial professionally. Stay home and support your local ladies!

I agree that it would be unwise for the escorts to divulge information of this nature on a public forum. -
Is this a real job?
MisterMike replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
This has been a very interesting thread. I would say this goes way beyond the normal conception of a "real job" particularly for someone who is an independent. I would say "entrepreneur" is a far more accurate description. You are in essence a professional sole practitioner offering a service like a lawyer or accountant; a business person doing what you enjoy for as long as you wish to engage in it. Since it is a highly interpersonal business you must accept the fact that you will encounter this kind of individual; simply hang up and forget it. It goes with the territory! You are all fortunate in that you live in an enlightened country where paid companions and escorts are legal enterprises. It is not so here in the US and, unfortunately, this is not likely to change in the foreseeable future. It takes a very special person with the right attitude and physical attributes to be successful in this profession. For whatever reason you ladies (and guys too) have chosen to share your intimate being to make others happy while staying safe, avoiding disease and maintaining your sanity; that alone is worthy of respect, at least from me. In order to be respected you must be respectful of others and also of yourself. IMHO Shayla crossed the line and must face the consequences of being banished from the CERB community. However I would also state that perhaps this not be a permanent expulsion as hopefully this will be a learning experience for her. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance but not necessarily a third. -

This one has been around a long time. I believe it comes from the old expression "black as the ace of spades". We generally don't hear people using these epithets here in northern New England. On the other hand I routinely hear a lot of different derogatory racial terms referring to Blacks, Hispanics and Asians in Boston and some are quite surprising. I recall reading this in the Manchester (NH) paper last summer http://www.unionleader.com/article/20120726/NEWS/707269897 Who would have ever thought that "monday" is used as a racial slur? Fortunately the off-duty cop who shouted it at Red Sox player Carl Crawford was fired. It is deplorable. I don't think things like that routinely happen in Canada.

Yes that was the LIBERTY BELLE that crashed and burned just outside Chicago in June 2011. It is a great loss to the warbird restoration community but fortunately no one was seriously injured. The aircraft was pretty much a total loss. There are now only 10 airworthy '17s left This is another of my hobbies. Over the past 35 years I have worked on several warbird restorations, specifically on the radio equipment and my reward has been to fly some of them. I flew "909" which is a B-17F owned by the Collings Foundation in Stow MA. In case you have never heard them - check out their Web site: http://www.collingsfoundation.org It's an amazing place if you love old cars and airplanes. It is privately owned and only open a couple times a year to the public. They have quite the collection not only of warbirds but antique automobiles and racing cars too. What does all this have to do with the subject at hand: I kinda equate paying to fly on these wonderful warbirds with having "encounters" with these wonderful providers. Both are unforgettable experiences and I am happy to help with the costs of upkeep and maintenance! However, as Meg so astutely pointed out we have to keep things in their proper perspective. You may be able to fly in the plane if you are prepared to pay the price but don't ever expect to own it.

Thanks Meg for a very poignant essay. It is a surreal experience but the memories are very real and hopefully will last forever and no one can take them away. We hobbyists have real lives too. The time we spend with you is an escape from that reality. You make us feel young and desirable again even if we are not. I mean, how else could guys like me enjoy beautiful women less than half our age sharing their wonderful treasures with old pharts like us when they wouldn't even give us a second look under real circumstances? When I was young(er) I would never have considered paying to play because it was not necessary. Today it is a privilege to have the opportunity. Last summer I had the rare privilege to take a 45 minute flight in a B-17 bomber. Since I hold a licence I was able to actually take the controls for five minutes. The flight cost $350.00 but the experience was PRICELESS and the memories will remain strong for many years to come. The proceeds go to the restoration costs and maintenance of this rare WW-II aircraft. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been able to enjoy this wonderful experience. There are other similar aircraft as well and I look forward to doing the same thing while I am still able to do so. In a way this is the same kind of thing and the proceeds also go to maintenance. We're lucky to have access to these wonderful ladies and their intimate treasures. They are priceless too. The one thing I have learned early in the game is "Don't try to make it something it is not." Otherwise you will be very unhappy. Meg has hit it dead-nuts on. Everyone in the hobby, newbies and veterans alike should read her essay and understand it. Thank you ladies for sharing your wonderful treasures with us.

You remember a world after the "pill" was developed and AIDS didn't exist. However if you remember the details you're not that old. You remember Expo 67 and all the fun you had there getting laid behind the British Pavilion. Ah, yes; getting old. It sucks but sure beats the alternative.

Lose virginity to a SP - opinions?
MisterMike replied to 42092's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
If I had a son this is what I would recommend. You want to make sure the first time is positive and special. I am sure some that one of the fine ladies on this Board would consider it a great honour to be your first encounter. Take your time, find a gal in her twenties and have at it. Good luck.
